  • Safe, economical and environment-friendly tunnel construction are required again along with social continuous development, the importance of waterproof work that is portion that actually all of user and builder can find that is embossed by tunnel construction's one of important construction. Also, ECB (Ethylen Copolymer Bitumen) sheet that is used in existing tunnel waterproofing method (ECB waterproofing method) being black because asphalt (Bitumen) is added, by purpose that make illumination of tunnel interior brightly and scar discovery eases in sheet with coating white film, but ECB that is used present according as ECB that asphalt is added does not satisfy high tensile strength of construction field, quality standard of extension. Also ECB denigrates color of black M/B that asphalt is excepted.

  • This is a double Composite Waterproofing Method of Mastic Asphalt Film ad Sheet(MAS) on concrete structure and its working method. MAS is characterized as having excellent strength and adhesion to concrete. To make a good waterproofing system, it is needed the information on the performance tests. The designer should choose a material that can be applied in almost all conditions. During their service life, Underground spaces have been keeping to dry enough for habitable or utilitarian used. This method is of use for waterproofness in various spaces.

  • The butt-joint system is widely used as the method of roof composite waterproofing system. However, there is stilll no objective research about proper distance, and proper structure associated with the performance in butt-joint system. In this research, we find proper distance and proper structure in butt-joint system through tensile strength test at joint, and comparative analyze with practical construction material of composite waterproofing sheet.

  • It has been found that existing detects at the junction between waterproofing layer as well as the material and the surfaces of the construction when waterproofing sheet is employed in the currently used unground structures waterproofing technology, causing a series of problems such as the high cost to the maintenance for leakage and the durability. The purpose of this study is about reducing the waterpoofing defects in underground structures. consequently, the homogeneous sheet which has some quality such as the unvulcanizate, high-adhesion and high-elastic was examined on physical properties. As a test result, it was confirmed to have satisfied performance about the ks. However, it must be continued to study through mock-up test for confirming of site application.

  • The waterproofing in slab and wall of underground structure, have a couple of construction methods which are inside waterproofing methods for inner surface, and outside waterproofing methods for out wall and slab surface waterproofing. In resent years, however, it has been adapted the inside waterproofing construction method, as increasing of construction expenses cost and low workability and technology, nevertheless, outside waterproofing has set a most high value construction method. In inside waterproofing construction method, it is difficult to repair and assure durability and safety for concrete which has direct water-press. So, It is necessary for adopt the outside waterproofing method.

  • The duplex waterproofing construction method has been investigated to improve various problems (how to fix the sheet, breaking, air/water pocket, and cracks caused by different materials) of the existing rooftop exposed waterproofing construction method. By using fiber sheet, Net PE fabric, and thixotropy urethane with high viscosity, the waterproofing construction method is to glue the ground and waterproof course by circular dot. The method is also to construct the waterproof course with high hardness by using waterproof membrane coatings in upper hybrid system. By gluing the ground and the waterproof course by circular dot, the study is expected to be useful to minimize the simultaneous breaking in the waterproof course as tensile stress is buffer in case of the ground crackling. Also, since the waterproofing construction method is good at moving and emitting vapor from the ground, it is considered to be effective to minimize any damages caused by air/water pocket and get loose of the waterproof course.

  • The purpose of this study is to propose the decision making technique in roof waterproofing method at the early construction stage. Selecting the suitable construction method is difficult because of the complex interrelationships between many factors of influencing the construction method selection. This study presents an example of selecting suitable method by analyzing LCC (Life Cycle Cost) in roof waterproofing work. In this study, roof waterproofing method is analyzed by LCC(Life Cycle Cost) which is consists of the initial costs, running costs, and removal costs. Sheet waterproofing, membrane waterproofing and asphalt waterproofing costs are compared to select the most economic method. The result of this study revealed that considering LCC is useful in selecting the proper method in the construction work.

  • In this study on the appliable Asphalt sheet of monolithic and inorganic matter waterproofing material using of field because of problem of complex waterproofing sheet. Before this cement polymer modified waterproof coating and appliable asphalt sheet of monolithic whether have stability by method of construction about all style waterproofing that evaluate to new method of construction development naturally big emphasis put and try to approach. Did performance test item first at, as a result, drew by suitable thing in all KS items. This is considered to have more effective spot construction work because if means that have stability by material as well as method of construction.

  • Sheet based waterproofing methods are factory produced and have a advantage or forming uniform waterproofing layer in construction sites, allowing them to become a commonly used material domestically. Particularly in the case of EVA waterproofing sheets, they can be manufacturing using recycled materials and are thus increasing in application due to their eco-friendly factors. However, heating adhesion method has to be used in case of overlapping areas of waterproofing sheets, but not enough studies have been made on the adhesion stability based on different heat adhesion speed. In this paper, EVA sheets have been studied with their overlap area properties following a heat adhesion method in wintertime ambient conditions and have been observed for the changes in the tensile strength based on different head adhesion speed and rates. According to the results, 6~7m/min adhesion speed was shown to have produce the best tensile strength.

  • This technology employs a method of forming a single-ply PLUS waterproofing sheet layer comprised of applying a single-ply synthetic polymer layer on a vibrating structure (steel frame, RC) or an inclined surface by using a T joint lap-filling coil and an embedded metal coated sheet. The T - joint reinforcing lap-filling coil was used to block the ingress channel of the rainwater by applying the material in the vulnerable area where the three sides of the waterproof sheet overlapped. Conventional waterproofing techniques have a problem in that the waterproof sheet is pierced because the end portion of the waterproof sheet applied to the vertical portion is fixed by a nail, and the sealant applied to the end portion of the sheet cannot easily secure long-term waterproof durability due to the influence of the external environment. Therefore, the developed technology secured the waterproof durability against the vertical part by using the embedded metal sheet. In addition, automatic hot-air fusing is used to improve the quality of waterproof construction and point fixation method using fixed hardware. This is a technology that is not significantly restricted in the high degradation level regions of domestic waterproof construction environments in Korea such as low-temperature environment, wet floor.
