  • In order to observe the microstructure and morphology of porous titanium -oxide thin film, deposition is performed under a higher Ar gas pressure than is used in the general titanium thin film production method. Black titanium thin film is deposited on stainless steel wire and Cu thin plate at a pressure of about 12 Pa, but lustrous thin film is deposited at lower pressure. The black titanium thin film has a larger apparent thickness than that of the glossy thin film. As a result of scanning electron microscope observation, it is seen that the black thin film has an extremely porous structure and consists of a separated column with periodic step differences on the sides. In this configuration, due to the shadowing effect, the nuclei formed on the substrate periodically grow to form a step. The surface area of the black thin film on the Cu thin plate changes with the bias potential. It has been found that the bias of the small negative is effective in increasing the surface area of the black titanium thin film. These results suggest that porous titanium-oxide thin film can be fabricated by applying the appropriate oxidation process to black titanium thin film composed of separated columns.

  • We consider the nonlinear matrix equation (NMEs) of the form 𝓤 = 𝓠 + Σki=1 𝓐*iℏ(𝓤)𝓐i, where 𝓠 is n × n Hermitian positive definite matrices (HPDS), 𝓐1, 𝓐2, . . . , 𝓐m are n × n matrices, and ~ is a nonlinear self-mappings of the set of all Hermitian matrices which are continuous in the trace norm. We discuss a sufficient condition ensuring the existence of a unique positive definite solution of a given NME and demonstrate this sufficient condition for a NME 𝓤 = 𝓠 + 𝓐*1(𝓤2/900)𝓐1 + 𝓐*2(𝓤2/900)𝓐2 + 𝓐*3(𝓤2/900)𝓐3. In order to do this, we define 𝓕𝓖w-contractive conditions and derive fixed points results based on aforesaid contractive condition for a mapping in extended Branciari b-metric distance followed by two suitable examples. In addition, we introduce weak well-posed property, weak limit shadowing property and generalized Ulam-Hyers stability in the underlying space and related results.

  • This paper discusses the lateral behavior of group pile in homogeneous and non- homogeneous (two layered) soil. In the group pile, the model tests were to investigate the effects on spacing-to-diameter ratio of pile, pile array, ratio of pile spacing, constraint condition of pile tip, eccentric load and ground condition. The group efficiency and lateral deflection induced in active piles were found to be highly dependent on the spacing-to-diameter ratio of pile, number of pile. Lateral bearing capacities in the group piles of fixed tip, in the case of 6D spacing and $3\times3$ array, were 40-100% higher than those in the group pile of free tip. Based on the results obtained, a spacing-to-diameter of 6.0 seems to be large enough to eliminate the group effect for the case of relative density of 61.8% and 32.8%, and then each pile in such a case behaves essentially the same as a single pile. However, in the case of dense sand, it can be estimated that a spacing-to-diameter of 8.0 seems to be large enough to eliminate the group effect. In this study the group efficiency is illustrated in experimental function with spacing-to-diameter, S/D, relative density and number of pile. The distribution of shear force in lead row piles, in the case of 3$\times$3 array group pile, was 41.6-52.4% for 3D spacing and 34-40% for 6D spacing, respectively. The shadowing effect for the parallel direction of lateral loading appears to be more significant than the one for the perpendicular direction of lateral loading.

  • Wireless communication in an urban area, the accurate prediction of wave propagation characteristics are very important to determine communication service areas, select optimal base-stations, and design cells, etc. The CCIR model is a propagation prediction model using a shadowing by the buildings in an urban area. This model represent the shadowing rate by the means of the effect of shadowing between base-station and mobile unit in a shaped linear plane. But, This one occurred a lot of prediction error because it did not consider that density area by the buildings and terrain configurations by the hill and mountain on Line-Of-Sight. In this thesis, an improved propagation prediction model is proposed to reduce prediction error. We presents a new equation, which is using the SAS. This equation is associated with the shadow height by the buildings that considers the topology and the number of blocks that can affect the building shadow in the Line-Of-Sight. We measure the received electrical field level of base-station that high density area, medium density area, and low density area, and then compare and analysis the result to prediction of CCIR model and proposed model. The result compared with the measurement, the proposed model has the improvement of 9.71dB in a high density area, 9.66dB in a medium density area, and 4.02dB in a low density area better than the CCIR model. The result compared with the measurement, the proposed model has the improvement of 9.71dB in a high density area, 9.66dB in a medium density area, and 4.02dB in a low density area better than the CCIR model.

  • In a IS-95 cellular systm, blocking will occur when the reverse link user interference power reaches a predepermmed level which is set to maintam acceptable signal quality. In this paper, it is assumed that a mobile rdio channel is a shadowing channel and Erlang capacity is calculated for the reverse limk of an imperfect power controlled IS-95 cellular system. the blocking probability is derived using lognornal pproximation and the results according to guassian and lognormal approximation method are compared and analyzed respcctively. Assuming that blocking probability is 1% at the data rate of $R_b$=9.6kbps and $R_b$=14.4kbps, it is shown that Erlang capacity using Iognormal approximation is 13.68 Erlang and 7.08 Erlang and then the approximation erroris occurred about 24.4% and 40.4% inthe garssian approximation, respectively. It is also observed that if the power control becomes periect, the Erlang capacity is increased more 6.99 and 4.21 Erlang than that of the imperfect power control that the power contrl error is 2.5dB, and if voice activity is considered as 10%, the Erlang capacity is increased more 8.21 and 1.25 Erlang than that using non voice activity, respectively.

  • In this paper we prove that $C^1$-generically, if a diffeomorphism f on a closed $C^{\infty}$ manifold M satisfies weak specification on a locally maximal set ${\Lambda}{\subset}M$ then ${\Lambda}$ is hyperbolic for f. As a corollary we obtain that $C^1$-generically, every diffeomorphism with weak specification is Anosov.

  • We introduce and study notions of expansivity, topological stability and persistence for Borel measures with respect to time varying bi-measurable maps on metric spaces. We prove that on Mandelkern locally compact metric spaces expansive persistent measures are topologically stable in the class of all time varying homeomorphisms.

  • In this paper we show that any chain transitive set of a diffeomorphism on a compact $C^{\infty}$-manifold which is $C^1$-stably limit shadowable is hyperbolic. Moreover, it is proved that a locally maximal chain transitive set of a $C^1$-generic diffeomorphism is hyperbolic if and only if it is limit shadowable.
