Recently, the demand for underground-type ammunition storage facilities has increased. Comparing with a ground-type ammunition storage facility, the underground-type ammunition storage facility can decrease the standard of safety distance because fragment and blast wave can be locked in the rock formation. However, the absence of a design method on the underground-type ammunition storage chamber became a major setback for the construction promotion. In this study, the process for designing an overall configuration of the underground-type ammunition storage facility was provided. First, the determination method for configuration and number of the chamber was developed by performing the ammunition storage simulation. Then, a tunnel (i.e., transfer channel for vehicles) and designed chambers can be arranged on the basis of safety distance standard. The safety distance standard also should be considered for determining the location and the size of entrances because of the blast wave and fragment effect at the entrances when an explosion is generated inside a chamber. In addition, considerations on the design for the waterproof and the drainage of subsurface water were analyzed through construction cases. Finally, an example of designing underground-type ammunition storage chambers was provided in order to verify the developed design process.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate changes in the position of the hyoid bone and soft palate and the amount of airway space after bilateral sagittal split ramus osteotomy (B-SSRO). Methods: This study is a review of lateral cephalometric tracings of 30 patients who underwent B-SSRO with setbacks at Kyunghee Dental Hospital from 2005 to 2009. Lateral cephalograms were taken before (T0), within one month (T1), and more than six months after the surgery (T2). Results: The hyoid bone at T1 changed significantly towards the inferoposterior position. At T2, it had significantly moved superiorly, but not anteriorly. At T1, the nasopharyngeal space, extending from the posterior nasal spine to the posterior pharyngeal space, decreased significantly, but did not show a significant increase at T2. The nasopharyngeal space, extending from the middle of soft palate to the posterior pharyngeal space, decreased significantly at T1, but did not show a significant decrease at T2. The oropharyngeal airway space decreased significantly at T1 and did not return to its original position at T2. The hypopharyngeal space, extending from the anterior to the posterior pharyngeal space at the level of the most anterior point of the third cervical vertebrae, slightly decreased at T1, but the amount was insignificant; however, the amount of decrease at T2 was significant. The hypopharyngeal space extending from the anterior to the posterior pharyngeal space at the level of the lowest point of the third cervical vertebrae, decreased significantly at T1 but returned to its original position at T2. Conclusion: B-SSRO changes the position of the hyoid bone and muscles inferoposteriorly. These change allows enough space for the tongue and prevent airway obstruction. Airway changes may be related to post-operative edema, posterior movement of the soft palate, anteroposterior movement of the hyoid bone, or compensation for decreased oral cavity volume. The position of the pogonion which measures anterior relapse after surgery did not show significant differences during the follow-up period.

This research analyzed the effect of a basic environmental facility siting on the difference in land prices using a case study of Jisan sewage disposal plant in Daegu metropolitan city. To do so, two buffer zones were generated around Jisan sewage disposal plant to 400m at an interval of 200m as a setback distance and 822 officially announced individual land prices were acquired from Korea Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport(MOLIT). Paired samples t-test was performed to compare the mean difference in land prices before and after Jisan sewage disposal plant siting. Results show that the mean land price from each buffer zone was slightly increased after the siting and the difference was statistically significant. Also, the results indicate that the mean land price within 200m was lower than that between 200m and 400m before the siting while there was not different in the mean land price for both buffer zones after the siting. Because Jisan sewage disposal plant did not have a stench and a larger capacity and its surrounding areas were blended by commercial and residential uses, a sewage disposal plant siting had little effect on the fall in land prices unlike previous studies. The findings from this research will provide new reference data for local government and local people with conflicting views on the siting of a basic environmental facility.
Purpose: This study was designed to retrospectively evaluate the postsurgical initial stability of the Le Fort I osteotomy with posterior impaction and rigid internal fixation for the correction of mandibular prognathism with midface deficiency. Particular attention was paid to the magnitude and direction of the initial postsurgical change. Methods: 20 healthy patients with mandibular prognathism and midface deficiency participated in this study. All patients underwent Le Fort I osteotomy with posterior impaction and mandibular setback BSSO by one surgeon. Preoperative (T0), immediate postoperative (T1) and follow-up period (T2) cephalograms were taken and analyzed. Change between T0~T1 and T1~T2 was measured and analyzed. Results: Between T0~T1, significant differences were observed in all measurements except the ANS point and mandibular plane angle. Between T1~T2, only the occlusal plane angle was significantly changed. No significant changes were found in all other measurements. Conclusion: This study indicates that Le Fort I osteotomy with posterior impaction is stable at initial stages. Although changes in the occlusal plane angle were observed, it was caused by tooth movement after post-operative orthodontic treatment. However, more studies with larger samples are required to form definitive conclusions. Conclusion: This study indicates that Le Fort I osteotomy with posterior impaction is stable at initial stages. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the changes in the pharyngeal airway space, tongue and hyoid bone positions according to the orthognathic surgical methods of mandibular prognathism. Methods: The subjects included 30 patients (16 males, 14 females) with the skeletal class III malocclusion. Group 1 (10 patients) underwent bilateral sagittal split ramus osteotomy (BSSRO) only; group 2 (10 patients) underwent BSSRO with genioplasty; and group 3 (10 patients) underwent BSSRO, Le Fort I osteotomy. We measured the lines between the selected upper air way, hyoid bone and tongue landmarks on the lateral cephalometric x-ray films of skeletal class III. The measurements were made preoperation, within 1 week after the operation, 3~6 months after the operation and 1 year after the operation. We compared and analyzed the measurements with matched paired t-test and independent samples t-test. Results: There were no postoperative changes in the nasopharyngeal airway space in group 3. The measurements of group 3 also increased during the follow-up period as compared to the preoperative measurements. In group 1, 2 and 3, the immediate postoperative oropharyngeal and hypopharyngeal airway spaces were decreased. In the following period, the hypopharyngeal airway space returned to the preoperative positions, but the oropharyngeal airway space was not significantly changed. The upper and lower tongue was posteriorly repositioned immediately after the surgery. During the follow-up period, the lower tongue position returned to the preoperative position, and the upper tongue position was not significantly changed. Immediately after the surgery, the B point was moved to the posterior position, and a slight anterior advancement was found in the follow-up period. Conclusion: Patients who received the mandibular setback surgery showed a decrease in the posterior airway space, and those who underwent maxillary advancement showed a significant increase of the nasopharyngeal airway space, which remained stable during the evaluation period. The change of the airway space, position of the hyoid bone and tongue did not differ according to the presence or absence of genioplasty.

The physicochemical properties of black rice flours produced from dry and wet milling were carried out to investigate their applications in food processing industry. The dry milled black rice flours showed lower fat, protein, ash, and anthocyanin contents than those of wet milled black rice flours with no effect due to number of millings. Average particle sizes ($379{\sim}288\;{\mu}m$) of dry milled flours were bigger than those ($336{\sim}253\;{\mu}m$) of wet milled flours. Particles with 60 mesh or more increased with increasing milling times. Wet milled flours had higher damaged starch, water solubility index (WSI), and water absorption index (WAI) compared to dry milled flours. Pasting properties measured by rapid visco analyzer (RVA) resulted in higher pasting temperatures in dry milled flours ($62.5{\sim}69.4^{\circ}C$) than wet milled flours ($46.1{\sim}46.4^{\circ}C$). As the number of milling times increased, pasting temperature of wet milled flours were not effected. Dry and wet milling resulted in reduced trough, final viscosity, and consistency with increasing milling times.

This study investigated the rheological properties of Calrose rice flour dispersions as well as the effects of different thawing methods (steamer, smart oven, and microwave oven) on quality characteristics of frozen turmeric rice. Apparent viscosity, consistency index, and yield stress significantly increased at higher rice flour concentrations. Magnitudes of storage modulus and loss modulus significantly increased with elevation of rice flour concentration. Frozen turmeric rice thawed using a steamer had the highest moisture content and largest size (length, width, and thickness) among all thawing methods. The L values of turmeric rice after thawing using a steamer was significantly higher than those of other thawing methods. The a value of turmeric rice after thawing using a steamer was significantly lower than those of other thawing methods. Textural properties (hardness, adhesiveness, springiness, cohesiveness, brittleness, and chewiness) of frozen turmeric rice after thawing using a steamer were significantly lower than those of other thawing methods. Therefore, it can be concluded that frozen turmeric rice after thawing using a steamer might be desirable for improvement of texture.
This study was carried out to investigate the change yield and grain quality in rice caused by damages of brown planthopper (Bph) on major agronomic traits at the ripening stage. A major agronomic traits such as culm length, panicle length, number of panicle and number of grain per panicles was no-significant difference compared hopperburn area (HBA) and moderately damaged area (MDA) by brown planthopper with non-damaged area (NDA). but, the ripeing ratio and yield in HBA and MDA was significantly decreased. The perfect rice of brown rice in HBA and MDA was also lowered than the NDA and the immatured grain among imperfect rice in damaged area by BPH was significantly increased than in the NDA. Among the traits related with palatability of cooked rice, the amylose content was not affected by damage of brown planthopper, whereas, the protein content was significantly increased in the HBA and MDA. additionally, Peak viscosity in HBA and MDA is lower than the NDA, and setback was increased. In most cases, there was negative on yield and grain quality by the damage of brown planthopper at the ripening stage. Thus, the rice product harvested in damaged area should be separated with that in non damaged area for grain market quality of milled rice.
This study was carried out at the Chuncheon Substation, National Institute of Crop Science to determine the effect of cold water irrigation on the milling and polished quality of rice, as well as its physicochemical and amylogram characteristics, and palatability Chilling by Irrigation of cold water $(17^{\circ}C)$ induced delay of days to heading, reduction of culm length, inferiority of panicle exsertion and high sterility of panicle. Head rice ratio was decreased, while the percentage of chalky and creak rice increased with increasing sterility over from 20%. Protein content was gained 0.9-2.0% more than, while whiteness and palatability of the milled grain were reduced under cold water irrigation treatment. Significant decrease in maximum viscosity and breakdown viscosity of rice flour was investigated under cold water treatment by amylogram analysis, while the initial gelatinization temperature and setback viscosity were increased. Sensory panel test showed that the palatability of cooked rice was unfavorable and its stickiness was lower compared with that under normal condition. Differences in the aroma of cold-treated and untreated cooked rice were not performed significantly.

We analyzed factors which related with rice quality at seven varieties. The whiteness of Daeyabyeo, Hopyeongbyeo and Koshihikari were higher than those of other rice varieties. In the hardness of brown rice, Ilpumbyeo was the lowest, and Sindongjinbyeo was the highest among varieties. The hardness cooked rice of Hopyeongbyeo were significantly low, and cohesiveness of those were significantly high. but adhesiveness, viscosity and gumminess of Ko-shihikari was high than other cooked rice varieties. The palatability of Daeyabyeo and Hopyeongbyeo were higher than those of Ilpunbyeo and Ungwangbyeo. Varieties which were known as having good palatability were higher in the breakdown, while setback and consistency were low. In those varieties, factors of upper were correlated with palatability, so this were supposed to determine palatability.
