  • Purpose - This study examined the relationship between service quality, perceived value, customer satisfaction and behavioral intention of coffee shop using CoffeeSERV scale. In this model, CoffeeSERV scale consists of fundamental characteristics, physical environment, confidence, beverage characteristics, and representation factors. In particular, this study tried to demonstrate the moderating effect of customer's regulatory focus orientation among in the relationships between service quality, perceived value, customer satisfaction and behavioral intention. Research design, data, and methodology - This study intends to expand the existing service quality research by using the coffee shop service quality measurement tool developed by domestic researchers. I wanted to find some implications for the trend. In particular, this study applied the regulatory focus theory to identify individual differences of customers regulatory focusing motivation. In order to verify several hypotheses, the data were 227 college students and analyzed with SPSS/PC 21.0 and SmartPLS 3 program. The moderating role of customer's regulatory focusing motivation was tested using multi-group analysis with SmartPLS 3 program. Results - The resutls are as follows. First, the fundamental characteristic factors only had a significant influence on the utilitarian value perception, but in the hedonic value perception, all other service factors except for the beverage characteristic had a statistically significant effect. Second, utilitarian and hedonic value had significant effects on customer satisfaction. Third, customer satisfaction had a significant effect on behavioral intention. Finally, the regulatory focus orientation played a moderating role in the relationship between beverage characteristic - utilitarian value, representation - utilitarian value, fundamental characteristic - hedonic value, physical environment - hedonic value, confidence - hedonic value, and utilitarian value - behavioral intention. Conclusions - The results of this study show that the various service quality factors that make up the CoffeeSERV scale have different effects on utilitarian and hedonic value. This means that perceived benefits from product and service experience have different impacts on the customer's experience. Therefore, marketers should identify the impacts of service quality dimension that customers who use coffee shops consider important, understand the impact process of these quality factors on experience value, customer satisfaction, and behavioral intention, and allocate limited marketing budget. The results also show that it is possible to establish differentiatied response strategies using customer's regulatory focus orientation to find ways to enhance utlitarian and hedonic value, customer satisfaction, and behavioral intention using various Coffeeshop service quality factors. At the end of this paper, some limitations and future research directions were suggested.

A total of 225 questionnaires were distributed to the consumers, of which 210 were deemed suitable for the analysis after the removal of 15 unusable responses. In order to perform statistical analyses required in the study, SPSS 18.0 Statistical Program was employed for frequency analysis, factor analysis, and reliability analysis, correlations, regression analysis. The results of exploratory factor analysis showed that four factors regarding local specialties service quality were extracted from all measurements with a KMO of 0.823 and a total cumulative variance of 66.095%, With regard to value perception, Three factors were extracted with a total cumulative variance of 61.213% and a KMO score of 0.871. One factor for customer loyalty was extracted that accounted for a total cumulative variance of 64.054% and a KMO score of 0.845. All factors were significant at 0.000 and the correlation between variables was significant. Thus, based on the results, the main research hypothesis that identifies the relationship between value perception and customer loyalty was partially adopted.

  • The present study was carried out to evaluate the impacts of the qualities of dental medical services on service value, consumer satisfaction and consumer loyalty for 221 patients who visited 17 dental hospitals or clinics located in Busan and Ulsan using questionnaires and obtained the following conclusion. By gender, males had higher perceptions of para-language than females did in the qualities of the dental medical services, and by the level of education, college students and university graduates had higher perceptions of body language and physical appearance. Scores of service value, consumer satisfaction and customer loyalty were higher in males, college students and university graduates, and married patients, but those were not statistically significant. It turned out that the qualities of the dental medical services were correlated with service value, consumer satisfaction and consumer loyalty. As the perception of para-linguistic and verbal communication in the qualities of the medical services increased, service value increased; as the perception of verbal communication and physical appearance increased, consumer satisfaction increased; and as the perception of verbal communication, physical appearance and body language increased, consumer loyalty increased. To sum up the above findings, the qualities of dental medical services influence service value, consumer satisfaction and consumer loyalty, so in the future, it will be necessary to study quality dental medical services with which patients are satisfied.

Third, among the service leadership factors, service belief (p<0.001) and insight (p<0.001) had positive effects on leader reliability. Also, service belief (p<0.01), service ability (p<0.001), and insight (p<0.01) had positive effects on value correspondence. Finally, service belief (p<0.001), service ability (p<0.05), and insight (p<0.001) had positive effects on leader satisfaction. Fourth, a hypothesis test using path analysis revealed that dietitians' service leadership produced positive effects on school foodservice employees' attitudes (leader reliability, value correspondence, and leader satisfaction). In conclusion, the service leadership of dietitians directly contributed to leader satisfaction, value correspondence, and leader reliability in school foodservice employees.

  • Before COVID-19 outbreak in 2019, it is the core value of airline's service to provide check-in service to passengers face to face. However, due to the global pandemic of COVID-19 outbreak, it is expected the airline service in the future would be dramatically changed from being contacted to being untacted with technology-based self service(TBSS). This paper analyzed the perception of passengers using self service technology and their acceptance. According to empirical analysis, it was found that the change of passengers' perception after COVID-19 has a significant positive effect on the innovation of TBSS. The innovation of TBSS(Effectiveness and certainty) had both significant positive effect on the passengers' acceptance on TBSS at airport. Among variables of TBSS, convenience rather than usefulness of TBSS had a significant positive effect on intention to use TBSS of passengers. It was proposed that airlines not only contribute to increase acceptance of TBSS but also inform and promote the prevention effect of TBSS and the importance of untact service to minimize congestion at check-in counter in airport.
