One of the most frequently used method for measurement of the degree of sizing (viz., hydrophobicity) is the Stockigt test. However, the Stockigt test was influenced by various factors such as dropping height, dropping amount, dropping speed and viewing angle. The resultant data of the sizing degree on the same specimen also varied according to different testers. Thus, the Stockigt test should be modified to be regarded as a highly reliable and reproducible standard method. For modifying the Stockigt test, it was required to quantify red coloration by reaction between 1％ ferric chloride and 2％ ammonium thiocyante during Stockigt testing. The cameras capturing the serial images during the red coloration process were the CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor)-type and CCD (Charge Coupled Device)-type cameras. For measurement based on KS M 7025, the CCD-type camera must be used due to its high resolution, and on the other hand, for measurement based on Tappi Useful Method 429, the CMOS-type camera may be used owing to its low resolution. It was needed to covert the RGB values of a droplet image into HSV(Hue, Saturation, and Value) values because the human eyes are much closer to HSV than RGB. Among HSV values, the Hue value was accepted as the most reliable index consistent with the red coloration process by excluding the surrounding conditions such as light, tester's movement etc.

Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction Co., Ltd. constructed a gas turbine engine test cell to verify operating characteristics and design parameters of 5MW class gas turbine engine for power generation under developing. Engine test cell was designed to satisfy critical requirements to scrutinize all performance parameters of the engine with safe and reliability in accordance with design specification. As the test cell developed can effectively reproduce engine operation conditions covering from start-up to maximum power condition, it can be utilized to make a continuing design improvement of the engine based on practical test data at full stretch. Moreover, it is expected to be serviceable to develop derivative engines and be utilized to put them into serial production and contribute to a competitiveness reenforcement as a gas turbine engine manufacturer.

We have parallelized the cumulative sum (CUSUM) test of NIST's statistical random number test suite in a CUDA environment. Storing random walks in an array instead of in scalar variables eliminates data dependence. The change in data structure makes it possible to apply parallel scans, scatters, and reductions at each stage of the test. In addition, serial data exchanges between CPU and GPU are removed by migrating CPU's tasks to GPU. Finally we have optimized global memory accesses. The overall speedup is 23 times over the sequential version. Our results contribute to improving security of random numbers for cryptographic keys as well as reducing the time for evaluation of randomness.

Purpose: Latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) in young children may progress to severe active tuberculosis (TB) disease and serve as a reservoir for future transmission of TB disease. There are limited data on interferon-${\gamma}$ release assay (IGRA) performance in young children, which our research aims to address by investigating the usefulness of IGRA for the diagnosis of LTBI. Methods: We performed a tuberculin skin test (TST) and IGRA on children who were younger than 18 years and were admitted to Chung-Ang University Hospital during May 2011-June 2015. Blood samples for IGRA were collected, processed, and interpreted according to manufacturer protocol. Results: Among 149 children, 31 (20.8%) and 10 (6.7%) were diagnosed with LTBI and active pulmonary TB, respectively. In subjects lacking contact history with active TB patients, TST and IGRA results were positive in 41.4% (29 of 70) and 12.9% (9 of 70) subjects, respectively. The agreement (kappa) of TST and IGRA was 0.123. The control group, consisting of non-TB-infected subjects, showed no correlation between age and changes in interferon-${\gamma}$ concentration after nil antigen, TB-specific antigen, or mitogen stimulation in IGRAs (P=0.384, P=0.176, and P=0.077, respectively). In serial IGRAs, interferon-${\gamma}$ response to TB antigen increased in IGRA-positive LTBI subjects, but did not change considerably in initially IGRA-negative LTBI or control subjects. Conclusion: The lack of decrease in interferon-${\gamma}$ response in young children indicates that IGRA could be considered for this age group. Serial IGRA tests might accurately diagnose LTBI in children lacking contact history with active TB patients.

In this paper, we implemented 2-wire (data gnd) RS232C serial communication interface by applying the Collision Sensing Multiple Access(CSMA) Protocol. The transmitting and receiving wires of RS232C pert are connected together by the interface circuit forming data wire without hardware modification On two-wired common channel connection simultaneous transmission Don mere than two hosts causes data collision. The collision is detected by loop-back test of transmission data comparing with the fed back data to detect the data distortion. Various models are adopted to reduce the probability of retransmitted data collision and experiments show the performance of each cases. Due to allowing multiple hosts to be accessed through the common communication channel with minimum circuit addition the result of this paper can be easily applied for conventional RS232C instruments and machines to connect to the single data communication line.

Purpose: The research was to investigate the effect of line dance programs on oxygen saturation level and happiness of elderlies. Methods: Researchers had conducted a series of test to measure peripheral blood vessel oxygen saturation level, pulse and happiness level of 47 elderlies from the D district of G city. Collected data were analyzed with ${\chi}^2$-test and independent t-test, equipped with SPSS WIN 17.0. Results: As a result of serial tests, Pre-test and Post-test of line dance performance showed that oxygen saturation of the Experimental group had significant increase following the program and happiness of the Experimental group also had significant increase following the program. Conclusion: In conclusion, with many advantages such as its easiness to access and emulate as well as its ubiquitousness as an aerobic exercise, line dance cannot only be very beneficial to cardiovascular function and relation of elderlies, but also to emotional and psychological effect, considered as a great breakthrough to improve comprehensive well-being in both physical and mental aspects.

This paper proposes a design and fabrication of the test equipment that is implemented as a part of the airborne tracking radar inspection under the environment of indoor simulation. This test equipment provides controlling the operation status of airborne tracking radar and replicating the velocity and range information of target by generating a variety of target signal. This is mainly composed of radar operation controller, target signal generator, horn antenna driving devices. Radar operation controller is able to perform the controlling of radar operation mode and monitoring in real time by serial communication. Target signal generator is generated doppler signal and range delayed signal using virtual target of RF-band. Horn antenna driving devices perform a role of target simulating exercise. In the end, the performance is demonstrated using experiment results of test equipment for airborne tracking radar.

In this paper, we describe a Control Element Drive Mechanism(CEDM) operation test using a Power Controller. By testing, we can catch the mechanical and electrical characteristics of CEDM and obtain the information about the improvement of CEDM and the design of CEDM power cabinet. The power controller for CEDM introduced in this paper can input firing angles directly into gate drive circuits of thyristors so that this method can be used to derive the maximum and minimum values of firing angles within available limits for a 3-phase half-wave rectifier. Angle inputs help us understand each coil's response characteristics. Since this power controller generates a serial sequence for CEDM insertion and withdrawal operations, we may judge whether CEDM works correctly as expected or not in each phase of a step movement.

We had experienced a case of pericarditis associated with Mycoplasma and Salmonella co-infection. This 5-year old boy presented with high fever and generalized tonic-clonic seizure. The diagnosis was based on the markedly increased serial titer of Widal test and cold agglutinin with Mycoplasma indirect hemmagglution test during hospitalization. The electrocardiogram revealed P-R interval prolongation and an echocardiogram revealed moderate pericardial effusion. The patient treated with ceftriaxone and erythromycin for 2 weeks, and responded to the treatment well. We report this case with brief review of the related literatures.

Large aluminium electrolytic capacitors are widely used in inverter systems for smoothing dc-link voltage. If capacitors in dc-link are deteriorated by ageing, dc-link voltage is fluctuated by lessened capacitance and their bodies are heated by raised ESR(equivalent serial resistance) and finally system faults can be occurred. In this paper, on-load ageing test method of electrolytic capacitor in inverter system is proposed and test results are shown.
