In this study, we present an algorithm that analyzes the risk by reflecting regional characteristics for factors affected by direct and indirect damage from heavy-snow. Factors affected by heavy-snow damage by 29 regions are selected as influencing variables, and the concept of sensitivity is derived through the relationship with the amount of damage. A snow damage risk prediction model was developed using a machine learning (XGBoost) algorithm by setting weather conditions (snow cover, humidity, temperature) and sensitivity as independent variables, and setting the risk derived according to changes in the independent variables as dependent variables.

The objective of sensitivity analyses is to identify critical variables of structural models and how their variability impacts mechanical response results. The sensitivity analyses have been used as significant basis data for practical applications of measuring and reinforcing fragile building structures. This study presents several sensitivity analysis methods for topological optimum designs of linear elastostatic structural systems. Numerical examples for structural analyses and topological optimum modeling demonstrate the reliability of sensitivities formulated in the present study.
Purpose: The present study was conducted in order to examine claustrophobia, noise sensitivity and vital signs according to anxiety sensitivity level in patients who have Magnet Resonance Imaging(MRI). Methods: With 100 outpatients, we measured anxiety sensitivity, claustrophobia, noise sensitivity and vital sign before and after MRI. Measuring tools were ASI, CLQ-M, and NSI. Data were collected from February to March, 2008. Results: The ASI score was higher in women than in men(p < .05), and no statistically significant difference was observed according to age, region of scanning, experience in MRI, and the use of contrast agent. Both men and women patients showed the same ASI score and decrease in CLQ M and NSI between before and after MRI. In women, ASI, CLQ M and NSI were in positive correlation with one another(p < .001), and in men, there was no correlation between ASI and CLQ M, and positive correlation was observed with NSI(p < .05). In comparison according to ASI level, blood pressure and pulse rate were not different in men and women. CLQ M was not different in men, but was different in women(p < .001). NSI was different in both men and women(men p < .05; women p < .001). Conclusion: MRI may cause claustrophobia in patients with high anxiety sensitivity, and noise appears to aggravate anxiety. In particular, claustrophobia was more serious in women than in men. Therefore, it is necessary to develop nursing interventions to reduce anxiety sensitivity particularly for female patients, and to make plans to educate and lower noise before MRI in order to reduce claustrophobia.
The aim of the present study was to compare the contrast sensitivity of soft contact lens wearers, spectacle wearers or emmetropia. Seventy myopic eyes and thirty emmetropic eyes aged 19 to 26 years were collected. The myopic group included 48 eyes corrected with spectacle lenses and 22 eyes of them corrected with contact lenses, too: all had corrected vision acuity of 20/20 or better. Spatial contrast sensitivity was measured using the OPTEC 6500 contrast sensitivity view-in tester included the EyeView Functional Vision Analysis software at photopic or mesoopic condition. There was no significant difference in contrast sensitivity between spectacle lenses and emmetropes. Myopes corrected with soft contact lenses showed statistical sensitivity losses at 1.5, 12 cycle/degree spatial frequencies. In conclusion, our findings suggest that loss of contrast sensitivity in soft contact lens wearers might be interpreted as evidence for corneal disruption before corneal pathological events occur in contact lens wearers. Contrast sensitivity testing appears to be a useful method for evaluating soft contact lenses.

In the construction industry, the interest for recycling aggregates is rising as more people demand for alternatives due to lack of supply of natural aggregates and environmental problems. However, in order for recycled aggregates to be used in infrastructures, stability and other factors need to be verified. Therefore, the objective of this study is to analyze the sensitivity of soil properties to secure slope safety according to various heights of embankment when bottom ash and dredged soil mixture is applied in the embankment. In most cases, all heights were safe for the slide for the embankment whether the water level is full or sudden draw down. The result of the sensitivity analysis revealed that the unit weight of embankments is highest among all factors to be considered. However, the sensitivity of the unit weight became smaller and the sensitivity of the friction angle of embankments increased with the height of embankments. The sensitivity of factors of core materials is very small because the core has weaker physical properties than those of the embankment. The effect of the height for each factor is different for each slope and water levels. The sensitivity of the unit weight of embankments is most affected when the height is 60m in the upstream slope. To conclude, bottom ash and dredged soil mixture can be applied in the embankment and different factors must be considered in different scale because the sensitivity depends highly on the height of embankments.

Purpose: This study was to identify the degree of empowerment and ethical sensitivity of staff nurses and to examine the relationship between empowerment and ethical sensitivity. Method: Data were collected from 235 staff nurses in 4 hospitals in Gyeonggi Province using a questionnaire and collected data was analyzed by the SPSS PC program. Results: The degree of empowerment was 2.76(${\pm}$ .35) out of a possible score of 4 and that of ethical sensitivity was 0.71(${\pm}$ .11) out of a possible score of 1. The relationship of between empowerment and ethical sensitivity showed statistically significant positive correlation(r=.34, p=.00). For general characteristics, there was a significant difference in empowerment according to age(F=13.18, p=.00), educational background(t=-2.09, p=.04) and clinical practice career(F=15.15, p=.00) and in ethical sensitivity according to age(F=4.01, p=.02). In characteristics related to ethics, there was a significant difference in empowerment according to experience of ethics instruction in clinical practice(t=2.25, p=.03), attitude toward the nursing profession(F=7.96, p=.00) and ethical standards(F=9.39, p=.00) and in ethical sensitivity according to attitude toward the nursing profession(F=2.94, p=.03). Conclusion: Findings suggest that a systemic and effective training program reflecting the above general and related ethics characteristics be developed to enhance empowerment and ethical sensitivity.
Background: This study was conducted to identify the level of gender sensitivity and gender equality consciousness among dental hygiene students and to confirm the necessity of gender equality programs in the curriculum. Methods: A self-report questionnaire was conducted with some dental hygiene students using the Gender Sensitivity tool and Korean Gender Egalitarianism Scale for Adolescents (KGES-A). Results: First, the gender equality consciousness of the students who took women's studies was high in the areas of educational life and socio-cultural life, and that of the subjects of grandparent families and Catholic was found to be high in the domestic life area. Second, the gender sensitivity of the subjects who took women's studies was found to be high in all sub-areas. In addition, the gender sensitivity of females was higher in the areas of sexual identity, non-violence, and self-reflection than that of males. That of 4-year college students was higher in the areas of sexual identity, openness to gender roles, and non-violence than that of 3-year college students. In addition, the gender sensitivity of Catholic students was high in the areas of sexual identity and openness to gender roles. Third, gender equality consciousness was found to have an effect depending on whether subjects took women's studies, family type, family type, and religion, and gender sensitivity was found to have an effect depending on whether subjects took women's studies or gender. Conclusion: Since dental hygienist is a profession that targets humans, education that can instill equal awareness and values of humans is important. To inspire gender sensitivity and gender equality consciousness in a prospective professional, it is necessary to conduct programs and education related to gender intelligence within dental hygiene curriculum.

Geopark refers to a single boundary area consisting of a collection of geosites and geotrails, which includes ecological, historical and cultural elements based on geological and geomorphological resources. To ensure the continued development and conservation of existing listed geoparks, it is necessary to carry out an environmental sensitivity analysis of the geopark components by utilizing spatial information from various scales. The objectives of this study are to analyze the environmental sensitivity in Cheongsong UNESCO global geopark in relation with slope disaster using GIS and to understand its spatial distribution in connection with geosites and geotrails. Two types of spatial database were constructed; geosites and geotrails in Cheongsong UNESCO global geopark and spatial data to perform environmental sensitivity. Potential soil loss and slope stability were analyzed to derive environmental sensitivity related to slope hazard. The results showed relatively high environmental sensitivity along the drainage network of Cheongsong UNESCO global geopark. Zonal statistics analysis was conducted for further detailed distribution of environmental sensitivity based on buffer zones of geosites and geotrails. Majority of geological sites, geological trails, Jeolgol gorge~Jusan Pond section in hiking trails, and Dalgi Mineral Spring Site~Artistic Genius Republic of Korea(Jangnankki gonghwaguk) section in road areas show relatively high slope hazard sensitivity within buffer zones.
This study investigates the impact of social-face sensitivity of smartphones on the adoption of iPhone in China. Social-face sensitivity is divided into three dimensions, namely, other-directed sensitivity, self-directed sensitivity, and formality-directed sensitivity. We surveyed 218 university students in China through an online survey site. The results showed that formality-directed and other-directed sensitivity have significant impacts on iPhone preferences. Self-directed sensitivity was not significant. We investigated two moderate variables, namely, financial ability and brand sensitivity. Both variables showed significantly moderate impacts on the intention to purchase iPhone. The impact of social-face sensitivity on iPhone preferences implies that the iPhone has dual characteristics to the Chinese, namely, as utility and luxury goods. This finding offers managerial implications for Apple and other mobile service companies in terms of production and marketing strategies.
