  • With the using the microprocessor, this paper presents DC servo motor control characteristics by Self-Tuning PID controller and considers position control response with controller of DC servo motor for robot drive. As this system is supported by a channel, it is considered to enough application effect in industry region such as needing multi joint robot and precision parallel driving.

  • It is known that SOFM has the property of effectively creating topographically the organized map of various features on input signals, SOFM can effectively be applied to the recognition of Korean phonemes. However, is isn't guaranteed that the network is sufficiently learned in SOFM algorithm. In order to solve this problem, we propose the learning algorithm combined with the conventional K-means clustering algorithm in fine-tuning stage. To evaluate the proposed algorithm, we performed speaker dependent recognition experiment using six phoneme classes. Comparing the performances of the Kohonen's algorithm with a proposed algorithm, we prove that the proposed algorithm is better than the conventional SOFM algorithm.

  • 본 논문에서는 설계변수와 제어기 이득의 자기 동조를 사용하는 PI+D 제어기 설계에 대하여 기술한다. 사용된 퍼지 PI+D 제어기는 일반적인 연속 시간 선형 PI+D 제어기를 근사화하여 사용하였고, 퍼지화는 퍼지싱글톤으로, 비퍼지화는 간략화된 무게중심법을 사용하였다. 제안된 제어기는 제어대상이 비선형일 때 자기 동조 성능이 개선된다. 퍼지 PI+D 제어기가 적용되면, 퍼지추정 결과는 분리된 퍼지 변수로서 다른 작용 성분으로 계산되고, 그 결과는 설계변수에 해당하는 함수의 형태로 결정되어 제어이득을 결정한다. 따라서 제안된 방법은 빠른 속도 추정의 성능을 가지며, 퍼지 입력변수의 증가에도 쉽게 적용될 수 있고, 재생 오차를 줄이는 이점을 가진다. 이 제어기는 설계변수와 제어기 이득의 사용으로 보다 높은 효율성과 개선점을 가지고 있다.

  • A service restoration is one of the most important missions in distribution system operation. This paper proposes a multi-agent system approach to distribution system restoration. Every relay is developed as an agent by adding its own intelligent, self-tuning and communication ability. Relay agent calculates and corrects its restoration index by itself through communication with neighboring agents and its own intelligence. The proposed algorithm is applied to a simple network to show how to calculate restoration index. Keywords Multi-Agent System, Service Restoration, Distribution Networks

Widely Tunable Coupled-ring Reflector Laser Diode Consisting of Square Ring Resonators

  • We design and fabricate a widely tunable laser diode made of InGaAsP-InP. The diode is monolithically integrated with a wavelength-selective coupled-ring reflector and semiconductor amplifiers. For realization of a compact size device, deeply etched multi-mode interference couplers and square ring resonators composed of total-internal-reflection mirrors are adopted and fabricated using a self-aligned process. It is demonstrated that the laser diode exhibits single mode operation and 16 nm tuning range with side-mode-suppression-ratio exceeding 20 dB.

A novel heuristic for handover priority in mobile heterogeneous networks based on a multimodule Takagi-Sugeno-Kang fuzzy system

  • H2RDC (heuristic handover based on RCC-DTSK-C), a heuristic algorithm based on a highly interpretable deep Takagi-Sugeno-Kang fuzzy classifier, is proposed for suppressing the mobile heterogeneous networks problem of frequent handover and handover ping-pong in the multibase-station scenario. This classifier uses a stack structure between subsystems to form a deep classifier before generating a base station (BS) priority sequence during the handover process, and adaptive handover hysteresis is calculated. Simulation results show that H2RDC allows user equipment to switch to the best antenna at the optimal time. In high-BS density load and mobility scenarios, the proposed algorithm's handover success rate is similar to those of classic algorithms such as best connection (BC), self tuning handover algorithm (STHA), and heuristic for handover based on AHP-TOPSIS-FUZZY (H2ATF). Moreover, the handover rate is 83% lower under H2RDC than under BC, whereas the handover ping-pong rate is 76% lower.

  • Recently the trends toward reduction in size of industrial products have increased the application of micro drilling. But micro drilling has still much difficulty so that the needs for active control which give adaptation to controller are expanding. In this paper initial cutting condition was determined for some sorkpieces by experiment and GA-based Fuzzy controller was devised by genetic algorithms and fuzzy inference. The fuzzy inference has been applied to the various prob- lems. However the determination of the membership function is one of the difficult problem. So we introduce a genetic algorithms and propose a self-tuning method of fuzzy membership function. Based on this intelligent control, automation of micro drilling was carried out like the cutting process of skilled machinist.

  • 본 논문에서는 여왕벌 진화를 모방하여 개발한 유전자알고리즘에서 강돌연변이 수행비율 및 강돌연변이 확률을 자체적으로 조정하는 방법을 제안한다. 이렇게 함으로서 적절한 강돌연변이 수행비율 및 강돌연변이 확률을 여러 번의 실험을 통하여 경험적으로 선택하는 문제를 완화하여 여왕벌 진화의 적용을 보다 쉽게 할 수 있다. 3개의 최적화문제에 제안한 방법을 적용해 본 결과 비교적 우수한 성능을 보였다. 하지만 다수의 실험을 통하여 얻은 최고의 성능보다는 우수하지는 못했는데 추후 성능을 보다 더 개선하여 이에 근접한 성능을 얻을 수 있는 알고리즘의 개발이 필요하다.

A New Switchable Dual Mode Voltage Controlled Oscillator (새로운 구조의 스위치형 이중 모드 전압 제어 발진기)

  • This paper presents a new switchable dual mode VCO(Voltage-Controlled Oscillator). The VCO is efficient in dual mode operation and has self-bias adjustment based on the operation frequencies of 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. The switching is done using MOS transistors and tuning is done using MOS varactors. It is implemented using TSMC 0.18${\mu}$m CMOS technology. It is powered by 1.8V supply. The measured results showed that the overall tuning range is approximately 13% at 5 GHz and 8% at 2.4 GHz. The measured phase noise is approximately -102 dBc/Hz at 1 MHz offset for 5 GHz and -89 dBc/Hz at 600kHz offset for 2.4 GHz. The VCO showed tail currents of 2mA in 5GHz mode and 2.5mA in 2.4GHz mode from a 1.8 V supply, respectively.

A Design of Ultra-sonic Range Meter Front-end IC (초음파 거리 측정회로용 프론트-엔드 IC의 설계)

  • This paper describes a ultrasonic signal processing front-end IC for distance range meter and body detector. The burst shaped ultrasonic signal is generated by a self oscillator and its frequency range is about 40[kHz]-300[kHz]. The generated ultrasonic signal transmit through piezo resonator. The another piezo device transduce from received ultrasonic signal to electrical signals. This front-end IC contained low noise amplifier, band pass filter, busrt detector and time pulse generator and so on. This IC has two type of new idea for improve function and performance, which are self frequency control (SFC) and Variable Gain Control amplifier (VGC) scheme. The dimensions and number of external parts are minimized in order to get a smaller hardware size. This device has been fabricated in a O.6[um] double poly, double metal 40[V] High Voltage CMOS process.
