  • There is a continuous development of the most common welding processes like MMA, MIG/MAG, PAW and SAW. At the same time there is a conversion from stick electrodes to solid and cored wires with an increased productivity as a result. In parallel with these changes new processes are introduced and implemented. The number of Friction Stir Welding installations is starting to grow fast Hybrid laser welding has probably made a technical break through. The Magnetic Pulse Welding process is taking off. The different mechanical joining methods; clinching and self-piercing riveting; must not be forgotten. Structural adhesive is another method to consider.

  • A two dimensional Darrieus-type turbine has been proposed for the hydropower utilization of extra-low head less than 2m. In a practical use of Darrieus-type hydro-turbine, head and flow rate may be varied temporally and seasonally. Considering that the cost advantage is required for the low head hydro turbine system, the Darrieus turbine should be operated with high efficiency in the wider range of flow rate possibly by using an additional device with simpler mechanism. In the present paper, an adjustment of inlet nozzle section by lowering the inlet nozzle height is proposed to obtain the preferable inlet velocity in low flow rate conditions. Effects of resulting spanwise partial inlet flow are investigated. Finally, an effective modification of inlet nozzle height over flow rate variation is shown.

  • An electric power efficiency of electrodeless fluorescent lamp has big relativie propertye of gas in lamp, gas pressure, lamp formation, ingredients of magnetic substance and shape and action frequency etc. We used magnetic substance that open self-examination material of electrodeless fluorescent lamp antenna. Ferrite that is used in this experiment was Mn-Zn type. Coill turn was changed from 13th to 13th turn to recognize brightness change of lamp by winding number. Optical equipment that used in an experiment was used to measure brightness (LS-100). When an electrodeless fluorescent ]amp was made using and T company's PE22, was it showed the highest brightness. As number of winding is increased the brightness increased, and starting characteristic became good.

  • The DC motor has the strong characteristics in the speed response, the system parameter variations and the external influence and is used as the speed controller with its good starting torque in the distributing industry. However development of the Microprocessor which is for high speed switching program can make better control system. This paper introduce to design of the high-effective DC motor controller that is using Software Bang-Bang Program of Fuzzy algorithm and to verify a PI controller and a Fuzzy controller.

Rate Proportional SCFQ Algorithm for High-Speed Packet-Switched Networks

  • Self-Clocked Fair Queueing (SCFQ) algorithm has been considered as an attractive packet scheduling algorithm because of its implementation simplicity, but it has unbounded delay property in some input traffic conditions. In this paper, we propose a Rate Proportional SCFQ (RP-SCFQ) algorithm which is a rate proportional version of SCFQ. If any fair queueing algorithm can be categorized into the rate proportional class and input is constrained by a leaky bucket, its delay is bounded and the same as that of Weighted Fair Queueing (WFQ) which is known as an optimal fair queueing algorithm. RP-SCFQ calculates the timestamps of packets arriving during the transmission of a packet using the current value of system potential updated at every packet departing instant and uses a starting potential when it updates the system potential. By doing so, RP-SCFQ can have the rate proportional property. RP-SCFQ is appropriate for high-speed packet-switched networks since its implementation complexity is low while it guarantees the bounded delay even in the worst-case input traffic conditions.

  • In piping design of nuclear power plant facilities, the load stress according to self-weight is important for design values in test run(shutdown and starting). But sometimes it needs more studies, such as seismic analysis of an earthquake of power plant area and fatigue life and stress of thermal expansion and anchor displacement in operating run. In this paper, seismic evaluations were performed to nuclear piping system of Shin-Kori NO. 3&4 being built in Pusan lately. Results of seismic analysis are evaluated on basis of KEPIC MN code. The structural integrity on RCB piping system was proved.

  • 차량항법 시스템에서는 디지털 맵을 대상으로 하기 때문에 많은 양의 메모리가 소요되며 계산시간도 많이 필요하게 된다. 또한 교통 상황은 실시간으로 변하기 때문에 이러한 정보를 차량항법 시스템에 반영한다면 좀더 실제적인 결과를 얻을 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구에서는 출발지와 목적지간의 방향정보를 이용하여 차량운행 중에 발생하는 실시간 교통정보를 반영하면서도 적은 계산시간과 메모리 사용으로도 효율적인 경로 탐색을 할 수 있는 알고리즘을 제안하였다.

Approximation of Common Fixed Points for a Family of Non-Lipschitzian Mappings

  • In this paper, we first introduce a family S = {$S_n$ : C ${\rightarrow}$ C} of non-Lipschitzian mappings, called total asymptotically nonexpansive (briefly, TAN) on a nonempty closed convex subset C of a real Banach space X, and next give necessary and sufficient conditions for strong convergence of the sequence {$x_n$} defined recursively by the algorithm $x_{n+1}$ = $S_nx_n$, $n{\geq}1$, starting from an initial guess $x_1{\in}C$, to a common fixed point for such a continuous TAN family S in Banach spaces. Finally, some applications to a finite family of TAN self mappings are also added.

  • Erbium이 첨가된 광섬유를 이득 매질로 하여 광섬유 loop mirror가 포함된 '8' 자 형태의 고리형 광섬유 레이저를 구성하였다. Loop mirror내의 양방향으로 진행하는 두 광파간의 비선형적 위상차로 인하여 loop mirror의 투과율이 입사광 강도에 의존함으로써 수동형의 모드록킹이 가능하였으며, 외부 perturbation 이나 변조소자의 도움없이도 공진기내의 편광조절기만의 조절에 의해 모드록킹ㅇ르 시작시킬 수 있었다. 또한 모드록킹에 의한 펄스 출력 파형을 비선형 loop mirror의 투과특숭과 관련하여 고찰하여 보았다.
