  • Recently the trends toward reduction in size of industrial products have increased the application of micro drilling. But micro drilling has still much difficulty so that the needs for active control which give adaptation to controller are expanding. In this paper initial cutting condition was determined for some sorkpieces by experiment and GA-based Fuzzy controller was devised by genetic algorithms and fuzzy inference. The fuzzy inference has been applied to the various prob- lems. However the determination of the membership function is one of the difficult problem. So we introduce a genetic algorithms and propose a self-tuning method of fuzzy membership function. Based on this intelligent control, automation of micro drilling was carried out like the cutting process of skilled machinist.

  • We propose an adaptive unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)-assisted object recognition algorithm for urban surveillance scenarios. For UAV-assisted surveillance, UAVs are equipped with learning-based object recognition models and can collect surveillance image data. However, owing to the limitations of UAVs regarding power and computational resources, adaptive control must be performed accordingly. Therefore, we introduce a self-adaptive control strategy to maximize the time-averaged recognition performance subject to stability through a formulation based on Lyapunov optimization. Results from performance evaluations on real-world data demonstrate that the proposed algorithm achieves the desired performance improvements.

  • As Internet and IT have been developed, people have been exposed to large amounts of information. So, many online information providers recommend relevant information to users to relieve an information overload. However, information recommendation which is based on the taste and preference of a user can lead to a problem of unbalanced information consumption. Prior research about online information has not investigated the side-effect of a recommendation function. This research suggests IT solutions for alleviating unbalanced information consumption behavior. Based on adaptation level theory and expectancy theory, we proposed self-reference point diagnosticity interface and social-reference point diagnosticity interface to help people to consume information following their own information consuming goal. We hypothesized positive impacts of these two interfaces on the self-awareness about information consuming pattern. And we predicted that self-awareness has a positive impact on the motivation and actual behavior to conform the ideal information consuming pattern which the user sets. Laboratory experiment was executed as a research method. As a result, the self-reference diagnosticity interface leaded to higher self-awareness and mitigated the unbalanced information consumption. But, the social-reference diagnosticity interface and the motivation to improve the information consuming behavior had no significant results. Academic and practical implications are discussed.

  • This study with qualitative research method explores the process of a middle-aged woman who finds and constructs her career path. As a result, career constitution process of a research participant choosing a career to make a living and carrying out what she is supposed to do, turned out to be more than just a job adaptation process in the workforce. Career constitution process is a journey in search of "genuine self" and a existential process in which the existence of self is understood by sustained choices and "actions." The research participant on the life journey of finding career path sought to return to her intrinsic life and practiced self-realization toward possibility. The result of this study suggests that "work" being different from calling needs to be understood anew in the existential perspective. "work" is not only a passage which makes the meaning of life by existential "actoins" but also a existential method heading toward self-realization. Not only that, career path is a process which doesn't get obvious by one choice but is unfolded by shaking between potential energy and possibilities accumulated by here and now decisions and actions. Thus, the researcher of this study suggests that counselling for career path should go beyond the linear task which figures out a person's aptitude, the features of the workforce and connects both. And there is the need for a paradigm shift in totally understanding the client's life and in making the meaning of a work in the process of finding genuine "self".

  • The purpose of this study was to identify factors affecting nursing professionalism in students and develop educational programs. Data were collected from 169 students in G-do, from March 15th to April 30th, 2019. Analysis was done using IBM SPSS 21.0 for frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and Multiple regression. The subjects' moral self was 3.39, moral behavior was 3.72, self-control was 3.68, empathy was 3.53, interpersonal competence was 3.69, and nursing professionalism was 3.90. Nursing professionalism positively correlated with self-control, empathy, and interpersonal competence. The most important factor affecting nursing professionalism was major satisfaction - 'satisfied' (β=.232, p=.002), followed by empathy (β=.222, p=.003) and interpersonal competence (β=.178, p=.016). The explanatory power was 18.5% (F=13.69, p<.001). Therefore, a program promoting major satisfaction, empathy, and interpersonal competence and a customized program considering personality and department adaptation are needed for establishment and enhancement of nursing professionalism. Utilizing the results of this study as basic data for nursing professionalism enhancement program and study confirming enhancement is expected.

  • This study was conducted to examine the self-efficacy and rejection sensitivity of nursing college students and their college life adjustment, as well as to identify the impact of self-efficacy and rejection sensitivity on college life adjustment. An online survey via URL was conducted on 154 enrolled students from nursing colleges nationwide. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 23.0 statistical software for descriptive statistics, independent t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and hierarchical regression analysis. The results of the study showed that the self-efficacy of the subjects was 3.80±0.63 points, rejection sensitivity was 2.67±0.83 points, and college life adjustment was 3.58±0.54 points. The factor influencing the college life adjustment among nursing college students was self-efficacy (β=.42, p<.001), while rejection sensitivity showed a significant negative correlation with adaptation to university life (r=-0.24, p=.003), but it was not a significant influencing factor. Therefore, it is necessary to develop and utilize various teaching methods and programs for psychological and social support to enhance self-efficacy in order to improve the adjustment of nursing college students to college life.

  • In this paper, we present an Energy-Aware Self-Stabilizing Distributed Clustering protocol based on message-passing model for Ad Hoc networks. The latter does not require any initialization. Starting from an arbitrary configuration, the network converges to a stable state in a finite time. Our contribution is twofold. We firstly give the formal proof that the stabilization is reached after at most n+2 transitions and requires at most $n{\times}log(2n+{\kappa}+3)$ memory space, where n is the number of network nodes and ${\kappa}$ represents the maximum hops number in the clusters. Furthermore, using the OMNeT++ simulator, we perform an evaluation of our approach. Secondly, we propose an adaptation of our solution in the context of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) with energy constraint. We notably show that our protocol can be easily used for constructing clusters according to multiple criteria in the election of cluster-heads, such as nodes' identity, residual energy or degree. We give a comparison under the different election metrics by evaluating their communication cost and energy consumption. Simulation results show that in terms of number of exchanged messages and energy consumption, it is better to use the Highest-ID metric for electing CHs.

  • Recently, several approaches are proposed to support developing Self-Adaptive System. However, they do not provide the way to accept interaction between requirements and architecture. It makes difficult to judge the impact of changing requirements, handle quickly, and understand adaptation process for stakeholder. To overcome above problems, this paper suggests the interweaving method for providing traceability based on the relationship between requirements and architecture. This traceability allows tracing the impact of changing requirements, and it provides the rationale of architectural decision for advanced degree of understanding. Example shows the usefulness through developing process and changing process on Smart Grid domain.

  • In modern society, the enterprises or the public organization have devised consistent means and methods with keen competition in high intelligence, high specialization and high competition for surviving in the struggle for existence. In the rapidly changing modern society like that, guard services are not free any more in the simple business. It will be survived only with consistent self-development and various abilities. Recently, it is on a trend that the enterprise including venture business requires the man of ability having many-sided thought, knowledge and capacity. That is, the era of a man with multi-function has come. The guards engaged in their present posts have to make efforts self-development consistently. And they have to work for self-development with theoretical knowledge acquirement about the expert knowledge escaping from simple function and business. The constitution including universities that train the guard should not adjust to the demand of quantitative manpower required in the enterprise organization with the training of the guard with simple functions only. It needs settlement as a curriculum with technology like ideology and knowledge breaking from short curriculum centered on function only in order to come to stay the recognition about guard services as expert services that the industrial society requires. The education centered on simple function should be replaced in the use of a high school, private academy and special guard institution. In addition, it requires a quality as the auxiliary, division, decision-making and spokesman according to the business role. Also, it requires the martial arts capacity, the communicative capacity, the sports or reports capacity, the guard driving capacity, the policy and assistant capacity and the information and analysis capacity, etc in individual. Lastly, it need each guard's change of cognition most of all. As part of the guard's adaptive plan according to the social change, it was enumerated like the mentioned above. It is important for the guard to prepare for the change of era and to build up quality and capacity before anything else.
