Relationship of Self-Directedness and Practice Satisfaction to Clinical Practice in Nursing Students: The Mediating Effect of Clinical Competence (간호학생의 임상실습에 대한 자기주도성과 임상실습 만족도: 임상수행능력의 매개효과)

  • Purpose: This study was done to identify the relationship of self-directedness, clinical competence and practice satisfaction to clinical practice for nursing students and to investigate the mediating effect of their clinical competence between self-directedness and clinical practice satisfaction. Method: The data were collected form 291 nursing students in clinical practice using self-report questionnaire on April 25 and June 20, 2011. Results: There were statistically positive relationships between self-directedness, clinical competence and practice satisfaction to clinical practice in nursing students. Clinical competence was found to completely mediate the relationship between self-directedness and clinical practice satisfaction. Conclusion: This study shows that self-directedness to clinical practice for nursing students have no direct effect on clinical practice satisfaction. It has an indirect effect by clinical competency.

The Characterization of Mn Based Self-forming Barriers on low-k Samples with or without UV Curing Treatment

  • In this present work, we report a Cu-Mn alloy as a materials for the self-forming barrier process. And we investigated diffusion barrier properties of self-formed layer on low-k dielectrics with or without UV curing treatment. Cu alloy films were directly deposited onto low-k dielectrics by co-sputtering, followed by annealing at various temperatures. X-ray diffraction revealed Cu (111), Cu (200) and Cu (220) peaks for both of Cu alloys. The self-formed layers were investigated by transmission electron microscopy. In order to compare barrier properties between Mn-based interlayer interlayer, thermal stability was measured with various low-k dielectrics. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis showed that chemical compositions of self-formed layer. The compositions of the Mn based self-formed barriers after annealing were determined by the C concentration in the dielectric layers.

Influence of Self-expression and Perception of justice on the Organizational Socialization of Nurses (간호사의 자기표현성과 지각된 공정성이 조직사회화에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to examine the effects of self expression and perceptional justice on the organizational socialization of nurses. Methods: Participants were 188 nurses in 3 regions at 4 different general hospitals with 400 beds each. Data were collected using self-report questionnaires from August 15 to September 15, 2012. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlations, and multiple regression using SPSS 18.0. Results: Organizational socialization was positively correlated with self-expression and perception of justice. The significant predictors of organizational socialization of nurses were Perception of justice, self-expression, marital status, department of work, and hospital size. These variables explained 41% of the variance in organizational socialization of nurses. Conclusion: These results suggest that organizational socialization of nurses could be enhanced by increasing self-expression and perception of justice.

Self-Leadership and Self-Concept in the Freshmen of Nursing College (간호대학 신입생의 셀프리더십과 자기개념)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between selfleadership and self-concept in nursing students. Methods: We used a descriptive correlation survey in a convenient sample of 818 subjects recently admitted into college in Seoul and the Kyungki province, Korea. The self-leadership and self-concept levels were measured using the self-leadership and self-concept scales, respectively. The subjects were given a self-report questionnaire. Collected data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, t-test, ANOVA, scheffe-test and pearson correlation, using the SPSS software version 17.0. Result: Positive correlations were identified between the self-leadership and self-concept in the investigated nursing students. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that it is important to provide opportunities for the nursing students to participate in the programs designed for self-leadership and self-concept development.

College Women's Self-leadership, Stress of Clinical Practice and Self Disclosure in an Area (일 지역 간호대 학생의 셀프리더십, 임상실습 스트레스와 자기노출)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the degrees of and relationships between self-leadership, stress of clinical practice and self-disclosure in a group of college female students. Methods: Data were collected from 258 participants with self-report questionnaires in August, 2011. Results: There were significant differences in the level of 'self-leadership' depending on 'interpersonal relationships', 'application motivation', 'satisfaction with nursing as a major' and 'satisfaction in clinical practice'. And also there was significant difference in the level of 'self-disclosure' depending on 'interpersonal relationships'. But there was no significant difference in the level of 'stress of clinical practice' depending on general characteristics of participants. There were significant correlations between 'self-leadership' and self-disclosure, 'stress of clinical practice' and 'self-disclosure'. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that it is needed to develop diverse programs that can reduce the stress of clinical practice by strengthening the capacity of self-leadership and self-disclosure.

Validation of a Path Model on Elderly Women's Yangsaeng (Yangsaeng; 養生; traditional oriental health promotion) (여성노인의 양생행위 경로모형 분석)

  • Purpose: This study examined the fitness of a path model on the relationship among perceived health status, self-esteem, self-efficacy, and Yangsaeng for elderly women. Methods: The subjects consisted of 633 aged women. Data were collected through self.report questionnaires. The data were analyzed with the SPSS and AMOS programs. Results: Perceived health status, self-esteem, and self-efficacy showed a direct effect on elderly women's Yangsaeng while perceived health status and self-esteem showed an indirect effect on their Yangsaeng. Perceived health status and self-esteem showed a direct effect on elderly women's self-efficacy. The hypothetical path model of elderly women's Yangsaeng was proven correct. Conclusion: These results suggest that elderly women's Yangsaeng can be enhanced by increasing their perceived health status, self-esteem and self-efficacy. Based on the outcomes of this study, it is necessary to design an intervention program that emphasizes the enhancement of perceived health status, self-esteem and self-efficacy in order to improve elderly women's Yangsaeng.

Time Management Behavior and Self-Efficacy in Nursing Students (간호대학생의 시간관리 행동유형과 자기효능감)

  • Purpose: This study was done to explore time management behavior and self-efficacy in nursing students and to analyze the correlations between time management behavior and self-efficacy. Methods: The data were collected from May 12 to 20 2010 using self-report questionnaires about time management behavior and self-efficacy of nursing students. The data from 508 students were analyzed using descriptive analysis, K-means clustering, and one-way ANOVA. Results: The mean score for time management behavior was 3.03${\pm}$1.11 out of a possible 5, and self-efficacy was 3.65${\pm}$0.42 out of a possible 6. Four groups were identified according to time management behavior. The four groups were significantly different on self-efficacy total (p=<.05) and self-regulatory efficacy (p=.<005). The group with the highest score for time management had the highest score for self-efficacy. Conclusions: The results of the study indicate that time management behavior styles are related to self-efficacy for nursing students. Therefore, time management education programs based on the time management behavior styles are needed to increase self-efficacy in nursing students.

A Study on Student Teacher's Recognition of Professionalism Relative to Self-Concept and Conflict (유아교육실습생이 지각한 자아개념 및 갈등이 전문성 인식에 미치는 영향)

  • This study investigates student teacher's recognition of professionalism as they relate to self-concept and conflict. Subjects were 190 student teachers in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. Subjects responded to self-report questionnaires. Data were analyzed by regression analysis using the SPSS computer program. The Major result of this study are as follows : First, there were significant positive relationships between self-concept and recognition of professionalism in four sub areas. Second, there were also significant negative relationships between conflict and recognition of professionalism in four sub areas. Consequently, self-concept and conflict were statistically significant factors in predicting student teacher's recognition of professionalism.

  • In the modern packaging technologies highly condensed metal interconnects are typically formed by highcost processes. These methods inevitably require the precise controls of mutually dependant process parameters, which usually cause the difficulty of the change in the layout design for interconnects of chip to-chip, or chip-to-substrate. In order to overcome these problems, the unique concept and methodology of self-assembly even in micro-meter scale were developed. In this report we focus on the factors which influenced the self-formed bumps by analyzing the phenomenon experimentally. In case of RMA flux, homogenous pattern was obtained in both plain surface and cross-section surface observation. By using RA flux, the phenomena were accelerated although the self-formtion results was inhomogenous. With ussage of moderate RA flux, reaction rate of the self-formation was accelerated with homogeneous pattern.

The Effects of Self-Esteem and fender Role Attitudes on the Psychological Well-Being of Youth (자아존중감과 성역할태도가 심리적 복지감에 미치는 영향: 청년기 남녀를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of self-esteem and gender role attitudes on youth's psychological well-being. The subjects of this research were 408 young men and women. All respondents answered by self-report questionnaire. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-tests, Pearson's correlations, and multiple regressions. The major results of this study were as follows: (a) Self-esteem and psychological well-being of young men and women were high. (b) There were changes toward the non-traditional direction in gender role attitudes of the youth. The young women exhibited more non-traditional gender role attitudes than the young men. (c) Self-esteem and family socioeconomic status showed positive influences on the psychological well-being of youth. However, gender role attitudes were not associated with youth psychological well-being.
