선택적 함구증 환아 어머니의 성인애착유형 (Adult Attachment Style in Mothers of Children with Selective Mutism)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to investigate the adult attachment style characteristics of mothers with selective mutism children and their relations to selective mutism. Methods :The subjects of this study were 15 mothers with selective mutism children who were diagnosed by DSM-IV criteria at psychiatry outpatient department of Kyungpook National University Hospital from March 1998 to February 2005. The controls of this study were 30 mothers with normal children who are in the second grade of elementary school in Daegu. We assessed the adult attachment style characteristics of these mothers by Revised Adult Attachment Scale, and Reciprocal Attachment Questionnaire-Korean version, self-report attachment style questionnaire. Results : 1) On the self-report attachment style questionnaire, it revealed that mothers with selective mutism children had both of the secure and the dismissing-avoidant types predominantly and the tendency that mothers with selective mutism children more commonly had dismissing-avoidant type than controls did. 2) On the comparison of attachment quality of mothers, although only the anxiety subscale difference was significant, it revealed that mothers with selective mutism children had generally lower score pattern in all of closeness, dependence and anxiety subscale than controls did. It was consistent with the consequence of self-report attachment style questionnaire in this study. Conclusion : This study showed that the distribution of adult attachment style of mothers with selective mutism children was different from those of controls. The dismissing-avoidant attachment style was predominant in mothers with selective mutism children. we suppose the possibility that the dismissing-avoidant attachment style of mothers with selective mutism children has relation with selective mutism.

Fibronectin과 성장인자의 단독 혹은 복합투여가 배양 인체 치은섬유모세포 및 치은인대세포의 활성에 미치는 효과 (THE EFFECTS OF FIBRONECTIN & GROWTH FACTOR ALONE OR COMBINED APPLICATION ON THE ACTIVITY OF GHUMAN GINGIVAL FIBROBLASTS AND PERIODONTAL LIGAMENT CELLS)

  • The selective migration, attachment and proliferation of periodontal ligament cells are the desired goal of periodontal regeneration therapy. Fibronectin is well known for an attachment protein for dentin surface. Also, Fibroblast growth factor (FGF) is well known to enhance the periodontal regeneration. The purpose of this study was to evaluation the effect of fibronection and FGF on the attachment rate and the cellular activity. Human gingival fibroblast and periodontal ligament cells were cultured from the teeth extracted for non-periodontal reson. Cultured human gingival fibroblast and periodontal ligament cells in vitro were treated with fibronectin and FGF a various dosage and culture times. Cellular activity was examined by MTT assay. The results of this study was demonstrated that cell attachment rate of experimental group was under the control value at 1st, 2nd, 3rd incubation day. But, at 3rd incubation day, attchment value tended to return to the control value. In case of fibronectin alone application, cellular activity was decreased than that of control at 1st, 2nd incubation day. But 3rd day, cellular activity was returned to the control value. The activity of gingival fibroblast in FGF alone application was decreased thatn that of control at each incubation day. But activity of periodontal cell group was increased cell activities at 2nd, 3rd day. Additionally cellular activity of fibronectin & FGF combined application on gingival fibroblast group was similar to control value at incubation day. But activity of periodontal ligament cell group was increased at 2nd, 3rd day compared with control group.This study demonstrated that combined application of fibronectin & FGF induced the selective chemotaxis for periodontal ligament cell in vitro.

입상여과에서 입자물질의 부착 (Particle Attachment in Granular Media Filtration)

  • Granular media filtration is used almost universally as the last particle removal process in conventional water treatment plants. Therefore, superb particle removal efficiency is needed during this process to ensure a high quality of drinking water. However, every particle can not be removed during granular media filtration. Besides the pattern of particle attachment is different depending on physicochemical aspects of particles and suspension. Filtration experiments were performed in a laboratory-scale filter using spherical glass beads with a diameter of 0.55 mm as collectors. A single type of particle suspension (Min-U-Sil 5) and pH control was used to destabilize particles. The operating conditions were similar to those of standard media filtration practice: a filtration velocity of 5 m/h. More favorable particles, i.e., particles with smaller surface charge, were well attached to the collectors especially during the early stage of filtration. This selective attachment of the lower charged particles caused the zeta potential distribution (ZPD) of the effluent to move to a more negative range. On the other hand, the ZPD of the effluent did not keep moving from less negative to more negative during the later stages of filtration, and this result was thought to be caused by two reasons: ripening effects and the detachment of flocs.

나이트로벤젠다이아조늄 양이온의 화학 및 전기화학 반응을 이용한 실리콘 표면상으로의 단백질 고정 (Immobilization of Proteins on Silicon Surfaces Using Chemical and Electrochemical Reactions of Nitrobenzenediazonium Cations)

  • 전기화학 반응을 이용한 실리콘 표면상으로의 단백질 고정을 연구하였다. 이를 위해 Nitrobenzendiazonium(NiBD) 양이온을 화학적 환원반응을 통해 수식하고 수식된 실리콘 표면을 전기화학적으로 다시 환원시켜 나이트로 기능기를 일차아민 기능기로 활성화하여 단백질 고정에 이용하였다. 활성화 된 표면에 금 나노입자를 고정하여 일차 아민 생성을 확인하였다. 또한 이 방법을 응용하여 실리콘 나노선 어레이 중 선택된 나노선 만을 활성화하고 단백질을 선택적으로 고정하는 연구를 수행하였다. 이 연구를 통하여 NiBD 양이온의 화학 및 전기화학 반응이 실리콘 나노선 표면으로 단백질의 선택적 고정화에 유용하게 사용될 수 있음을 보였다.

입상여과에서 액반플럭의 부착 (Alum Floc Attachment in Granular Media Filtration)

  • 입상여과는 표준식 정수처리 공정에서 입자물질 제거의 최종공정으로 대부분 사용되고 있다. 따라서 양질의 수돗물을 만들기 위해서는 입상여과에서 높은 수준의 입자물질 제거가 요구되고 있다. 그러나 여과공정에서 모든 입자물질을 제거할 수 없으며, 또한 입자물질의 부착특성은 입자와 용액의 물리화학적 특성에 따라 달라진다. 실험실규모의 여과칼럼과 입경 0.55mm의 유리구슬을 여재로 한 여과실험이 수행되었다. Min-U-Sil 5가 입자물질로 사용되었으며 입자물질을 불안정화하기 위하여 액반을 사용하였다. 운전조건은 표준입상여과와 동일하였으며 여과속도는 5m/h 였다. 입자와 여재가 모두 음의 표면전하를 갖을 경우 작은 표면 전하를 갖는 입자가 여과초기에 여재에 잘 부착되었다. 작은 표면전하를 갖는 입자의 선택적 부착은 유출수의 제타 전위분포를 더 음인 방향으로 이동시켰다. 한편 입자의 표면전하가 양의 값을 갖을 경우는 여과수 입자의 표면전하가 양의 큰 값에서 작은 값으로 변하였는데 이는 입자와 여재사이의 이온전이에 기인하는 것으로 생각된다.

수소이온 농도의 변화가 배양 인체 치주인대 세포의 활성에 미치는 영향 (BIOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF pH CONCENTRATION ON CULTURED HUMAN PERIODONTAL LIGAMENT CELL ACTIVITY IN VITRO)

  • Periodontal therapeutic modalities should be re-establishing and regenerating the periodontal tissue previously lost to the disease. To achieve periodontal regeneration, periodontal ligament cells must selective migrate to the deneded root surface, attached and proliferated it. Local pH concentration is one of the most factors that periodontal regeneration. The aims of this study were to examine on biological effects of pH to the human periodontal ligament cells in vitro, especially on the cell morphology, attachment, activity, vitality and viability. Human periodontal ligament cells were cultured from extracted tooth for non-periodontal reason. Immediately after extraction, any soft tissue adhering to the cervical parts of the roots was carefully removed with a sterile curette. To produce different pH levels in the media, Eagle's MEM was adjusted from pH 6.6 to 8.2 in 0.2 intervals with 1 M NaOH and 1 N HCl. After cultivation, Then, Periodontal ligament cells were cultured at pH ranging from 6.6-8.2. attachment assay was done at 1, 2 day incubation and activity assay was done at 1, 2, 3 day incubation. The experiments were evaluated by scaning electron microscopic techniques (HITACHIX-650 Scaning Electron Microanalyzer, Tokyo, Japan), MTT assay, and the cultured periodontal ligament cells were fixed in neutral formalin for 24 hours and immunohistochemically processed by PCNA for proliferating ability. The surviving cells in the medium showed slightly increased volume and widening intercellular distances at low concentration of pH than control group (pH 7.4), and apparently shrinkage at high concentration of pH than control group (pH 7.4). The results of the statistical analysis from the experiment on attachment, vitality and viability were as follows. Attachment of periodontal ligament cells at 1st and 2nd day, similar attachment rate of low concentration pH compared with control value (pH 7.4). But above pH 8.0, attachment rate were statistically significant decrease from control value(P<0.05). Periodontal ligament cell's activities were maximum at pH 7.6 by MTT assay. Similar with control value at low concentration of pH. But, the activities were statistically significant decrease at high concentraration of pH(P<0.05). Cellular proliferating rate (PCNA index) were statistically significant decrease from control value at low and high concentration of pH(p<0.05). This results suggested that hjgh concentration pH, in other words, alkali pH was cytotoxic effects on human periodontal ligament cells in vitro.

치아지지및 유리단 국소의치의 설계원칙 (THE PRINCIPLE OF THE TOOTH-BORNE AND FREE-END REMOVABLE PARTIAL DENTURE DESIGN)

  • The Applegate-Kennedy classification, the drawing of removable partial denture design using color coding, the selective tissue placement impression method in case of Class I and Class II removable partial dentures, the design of the swing lock attachment of an alternative approach to conventional removable partial denture, the design of the intracoronal or extracoronal attachment, and the removable partial denture design using a rotational path were presented. The following conclusions from the above things were presented : 1. The swing lock attachment removable partial denture can be effective to an alternative approach when the design of conventional removable partial denture is improper with markedly mobile remaining teeth or missing key abutments. 2. Intracoronal or extracoronal attachments must be selected care-fully considering the conditions of the abutment teeth and alveolar ridge whether more occlusal loads to the abutment teeth or to the alveolar ridge are distributed. 3. It must be almost prerequisite that a functional impression is taken in case of Class I and class II removable partial dentures and in case of tooth-borne removable partial dentures, a removable partial denture using rotational path is strong, hygienic, esthetic, and can be accomplished successfully in the clinical aspect when it is properly designed and fabricated through the complete understanding of an indication and a principle. 4. All necessary informations must be achieved with carefully investigated surveying procedure according to each clinical case by Applegate-Kennedy classification which can be helpful and useful in the clinical application and it is important that dentists themselves must be in the habit of drawing a reasonable partial denture design using a color coding in the paper sheet.
