  • This study is conducted to fill the research gap in proposing and testing the relationship between "Attitudes about the overall image of the destination", "Subjective norms" and "Perceived behavioral control". Simultaneously, we examine the relationship between these variables and tourists' "intent to choose a destination.". While most previous studies only deal with the relationship between destination image and intended behavior of tourists, this study uses the theory of planned behavior (Ajzen, 1991) to explain the intended behavior of tourists. In addition, the Theory of Destination Image (Echtner & Ritchie, 1991) is used to explain the factor "attitudes about the overall image of the destination", contribute to supplementing and perfecting the Theory of Planned Behavior. This study uses a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to analyze a sample of 993 observations, the subjects of which are international tourists to Vietnam, to test the relationship between second-order constructs. The test results show that "Subjective norms" and "Perceived behavioral control" have an impact on "Attitudes about the overall image of the destination". Moreover, all these three factors have an impact on "Intent to choose destination", in which the factor "Perceived behavioral control" has the greatest impact on "intention to choose destination".

  • by providing objective information regarding medical radiation for elementary, middle, and high school students in Korea, who are expected to have a high ripple effect in education, and by analyzing behavioral changes in the selection of medical radiation, this study aimed to deduce the basis for educational intervention. The tools used in the study were a questionnaire, including questions about perception, knowledge, attitude, and behavior toward medical radiation; video and Power-point materials for the lesson; simulated radiation diagnosis selection form; and radiation treatment selection form to find out about behavior. A post-test demonstrated that the objective knowledge about medical radiation of all the students turned out to be significantly higher (p<0.000) after the lesson compared to before the lesson. However, there were no statistically significant behavioral changes. Rather, for high school students, the behavior of selecting medical radiography and treatment was significantly lower (p<0.000) after the lesson. For the more impressionable children in the lower grades, the lesson must not only provide an opportunity to understand and pay attention to diverse viewpoints, but also encourage them to make ethical decisions based on value. Since it can be predicted that attitude or behavioral changes through education or publicity can be expected from adults older than high school students, issues regarding dangers like radiation exposure must be treated as an issue of value judgment predicated on multifaceted considerations.

Data were collected from 513 respondents from the city of Daegu as well as Gyeongbuk province. Collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, ANOVA, and Duncan tests. The results showed that 14.3% of the respondents were underweight, 60.0% normal, and 25.7% overweight according to BMI. The appearance orientation of the respondents was revealed to be high. Skin care was the most popular appearance management behavior, followed by make-up, clothing selection, hair care and weight training. Due to appearance orientation by body type, the appearance orientation for the underweight was the highest followed by normal and overweight. There were significant differences in skin care, make-up, clothing selection, hair care among the three groups in appearance management behavior; however, no differences in weight training. Generally, appearance management behavior of the underweight was the highest, followed by the normal and the overweight. In addition, there were significant group differences in appearance orientation and appearance management behavior according to demographic variables. This study contributes basic information to the field of appearance management behavior research and beauty industry marketing strategy through a better understanding of the relationships of BMI, appearance orientation, and appearance management behavior.

  • This study examines the clothing purchasing behavior of elderly female consumers based on their perceived age. This study grouped elderly female consumers by their perceived age and examined what influence the clothing selection criteria or fashion information sources have on individual clothing purchase behavior. From January $10^{th}$ to February $25^{th}$ 2008, data research was conducted on 194 elderly women in their 60s and 70s from Seoul. The SPSS 14.0 software program was used to conduct data analyses such as descriptive statistics, frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, ANOVA, and the Duncan test as a post-hoc analysis. The results of this study are as follows: First, the elderly female consumers were divided into three groups, younger, average, and older according to their perceived age. Second, the factors derived from the factor analysis of their clothing selection criteria included personal relevance, practicability, conformity, and economic efficiency. In addition, three factors of advertising/media-provided, consumer-provided and store-provided information were extracted from the factor analysis of fashion information sources. Third, there were significant differences in personal relevance and conformity that depended on the perceived age of elderly female consumers for clothing selection criteria. Fourth, in the use of fashion information sources, significant differences were found in all aspects of advertising/media-provided, consumer-provided, and store-provided information sources that depended on their perceived age.
