TMD 설치 질량 변화에 따른 대공간 구조물과 고층건물의 변위 응답 특성 (Displacement Response Properties of Spatial Structures and High-Rise Buildings According to the Change of TMD Mass)

  • In this paper, the displacement response to seismic loads was analyzed after installing TMD in spatial structures and high-rise buildings. In the case of a spatial structures, since it exhibits complex dynamic behavior under the influence of various vibration modes, it is not possible to effectively control the seismic response by installing only one TMD, unlike ordinary structures. Therefore, after installing eight TMDs in the structure, the correlation between displacement response and mass ratio was examined while changing the mass. The TMD must be designed to have the same frequency as the structure frequency so that the maximum response reduction effect can be exhibited. It can be confirmed that the most important variable is to select the optimal TMD mass in order to install the TMD on the structure and secure excellent control performance against the earthquake load. As a result of analyzing the TMD mass ratio, in the case of high-rise buildings, a mass ratio of 0.4% to 0.6% is preferable. In spatial structures, it is desirable to select a mass ratio of 0.1% to 0.2%. Because this study is based on the theoretical study based on numerical analysis, in order to design a TMD for a real structure, it is necessary to select within a range that does not affect the safety of the structure.

석탄층 메탄가스 저류층의 생산방법 선정을 위한 지능형 시스템 개발 (Development of Intelligent System to Select Production Method in Coalbed Methane Reservoir)

  • 석탄층 메탄가스 저류층의 개발을 위해서는 석탄층 특성에 부합하는 생산방법을 적용하는 것이 중요하지만 대부분의 개발현장에서는 경험적인 판단에 의존하여 생산방법을 선정하고 있어 결과에 대한 신뢰도가 떨어질 뿐만 아니라 복잡한 시뮬레이션 해석을 통해 최적 생산방법을 규명해야 하는 등의 많은 시간과 노력이 필요하다는 문제점이 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 인공신경망을 활용하여 석탄층 메탄가스 최적 생산방법을 선정하기 위한 지능형 시스템을 개발하였다. 시스템 개발에 앞서 문헌 조사를 통해 석탄층 메탄가스 생산방법 선정 가이드라인을 분석하였고, 이를 활용하여 시추 방법과 유정완결법 선정 시스템, 수압파쇄공법 수행시 파쇄액 선정 시스템을 개발하였다. 개발된 생산방법 선정 시스템의 타당성 평가 결과, 높은 정확도를 나타냄으로써 본 연구에서 개발된 생산방법 선정 시스템은 향후 석탄층 메탄가스의 개발에 앞서 석탄층 특성에 부합하는 생산방법을 선정할 수 있는 효율적인 도구로 활용될 것으로 판단된다.

Selecting the Best Soil Particle-Size Distribution Model for Korean Soils

  • 입도분포는 토양의 수리특성을 추정하는 데 많이 사용되고 있다. 본 연구는 다양한 가정조건을 가진 9개의 입도분포모형을 가지고 한국토양을 대상으로 어떤 모형이 가장 잘 입도분포를 모사하는지를 조사하였다. 4개의 추정변수를 가진 Fredlund모형, 로지스틱성장곡선, 그리고 Weibull분포가 다른 모형에 비해 PSD를 잘 모사하였다. 특히 추정변수가 없는 로지스틱 성장곡선 함수가 좋은 모사를 나타낸 것이 흥미로웠다.

  • The lining concrete of water tunnel is a structure that is constructed to prevent from corroding of the rock around tunnel and reduce the deterioration of geology by flowing water, and to improve the durability of tunnel, which must not only economy, stability but also satisfy the engeneering properties of concrete. This is an experimental study to analyze th usability of fly in the tunnel lining concrete. For this purpose, after select the mix proportion of plain concrete and concrete using fly ash(the replacement of 15 and 30% by weight of cement) to satisfy slump, air content and compressive strength through the mix design, the test of slump, setting time, compressive strength, tensile strength, drying shrinkage and adiabatic temperature rise was performed. According to test results, it was found that FA 15 concrete was more effective than the others to reduce drying shrinkage as well satisfy other engineering properties.

Lipolytic Properties of Candida Cylindracea Lipase Toward Triacylglycerols with Different Fatty Acyl Chains

  • Lipolytic characteristics of candia cylindracea lipase was studied by various triacylglycerols with different fatty acyl chains as substrate. The substrate was emulsified with gum arabic and the rate of hydrolysis was determined by pH stat method. The effects of gum concentration, pH, temperature, and $Ca^{2+}$ ion on the enzyme activities were examined. The results show that the effect of these factors are markedly depending on the structurla nature of substrates. The triolein was the best substrate among tested. Present study demonstrates that for characterization of lipolytic enzymes, it is critically important to select proper substrate and activator.r.

  • In estimating designed architectural buildings, many factors in various design domains such as function, structure, form, environment may be considered and then a building design might be selected or modified as final design from many possible design results. This paper proposed a method to obtain complexity values from two dimensional drawings which are floor plans or elevations. The Complexity values could be turned into esthetic values. The method has been developed based on information theory, shape pattern representation and cognitive theory. Results of measuring complexity value can make the computer evaluate and select final results produced from automatic design processes by the computer That is to say, aesthetic values based on order and chaos can be measured using complexity values and then some results having superior values can be selected as final result. Also some cognitive processes as perception of two dimensional drawings are discussed using shape representations. Aesthetic values could be varied in terms of shape properties such as size, individualities and knowledge as well as order and chaos.

  • The automation of hot rolling process requires the developments of several mathematical models for simulation and quantitative description of the industrial operations involved in order to achieve the continuously increasing productivity, flexibility and quality(dimensional accuracy, mechanical properties and surface properties). The mathematical modeling of hot rolling process has long been recognized to be a desirable approach to investigate rolling operating practice and design of mill requirement. To achieve this objectives, a new teaming method with neural network to improve the accuracy of rolling force prediction in hot rolling mill is developed. Also, Genetic Algorithm(GA) is applied to select the optimal structure of the neural network and compared with that of engineers experience. It is shown from this research that both structure selection methods can lead to similar results.

마이크로 주파수에서 전파 흡수성 코팅재료의 특성 평가 (Evaluations of Radar Absorbing Coating materials in the Microwave Frequencies)

  • This paper describes both electromagnetic properties and electromagnetic-wave absorbind (EMA) characteristics of the radar absorbing coating materials in the microwave frequencies. The coating materials are prepared by mixing ferrite powder with epoxy resin polymers. The electromagnetic property and the EMA characteristics of the coating materials are measured in the frequency ranges between 0.2 GHz and 15GHz using the S-parameter method. The results show that the typical coating material has ({{{{ {μ }`_{r } ^{' } }} of about 2 and ({{{{ { ε}`_{r } ^{' } }} of about 4. And the coating materials have a little EMA characteristics in the frequency from 4 to 6 GHz and more improved EMA characteristics around 12 GHz And it is desirable for improvement of the EMA characteristics of the coating materials to properly select electromagnetic properties of constitutional materials inthe interesting frequency ranges.

  • The optimal reaction conditions are determined for a PET process, which consists of transesteriflcation, prepolymerization and polycondensation reactors in series. Based on the simulation results of the reactor system, we scrutinize the cause and effect between the reaction conditions and the final properties of the polymer product. We then select the process variables with significant influence on the properties of polymer as control variables and calculate the optimal reaction conditions by iterative dynamic programming (IDP) algorithm with constraints. A new reaction scheme incorporating reactions for by-products as well as three main reactions is considered in the constrained IDP method.

Characteristics of Shield Materials for Wireless Power Transfer

  • In this paper, we examine the electrical and magnetic properties of three different types of shield materials used for wireless power transfer systems: namely, FeSiAl-composite, NiZn-ferrite, and FeSi-amorphous types. The power transfer efficiency and resistance of an RX coil are measured, while varying the shield thickness. For all three types, a thicker shield provides better power transfer efficiency. Analysis of the measurements shows that the FeSiAl-composite type is suitable for systems with size limitation. In terms of magnetic properties, the FeSi-amorphous type shows the best features, and is suited to high power applications. This work can be used as a guideline to select suitable shielding material in various wireless power transfer systems.
