SWAT을 이용한 최상류 소유역 토양침식 평가: 안성 월동저수지 유역을 대상으로 (Evaluation of Soil Erosion in Small Mountainous Watersheds Using SWAT Model: A Case Study of the Woldong Catchment, Anseong)

  • Successful sediment management at the watershed scale requires an understanding of the erosion, transport and sedimentation processes at the specific site scale. However, studies on the sediment runoff characteristics in a small uppermost watershed, which serves as a sediment supply function, are very rare. Therefore, this study attempted to investigate the fluctuations in major sediment supply areas and sediment runoff in the uppermost mountain small watershed, and for this purpose, ArcSWAT (Soil and Water Assessment Tools with GIS interface) was applied to the Woldong reservoir catchment located in Gosam-myeon, Anseong-si, Gyeonggi-do. The model results were manually calibrated using the monitoring data of the Woldong reservoir sedimentation rate from 2005 to 2007. It was estimated that annual average of 34.4 tons/year of sediment was discharged from the Woldong reservoir basin. This estimate almost coincided with the monitoring data of the Woldong reservoir during the low flow period but tended to be somewhat underestimated during the high flow period. Although the SWAT model does not fully reflect the erosion process of gully and in-channel, this underestimation is probably due to the spatial connectivity of sediment transport and the storage and reactivation of the sediment being transported. Most of the forested hillslopes with a well-developed organic horizon were evaluated as having a low risk of erosion, while the places with the highest risk of erosion were predicted to be distributed in the logged area with some weeds or shrubs (classified as pasture) with relatively steeper slopes, and in the bare land. The results of this study are expected to be useful in developing strategies for sediment control and reservoir management.

밑거름 종류에 따른 밀의 농업적 형질 및 품질 차이 (Difference of Agricultural Characteristics and Quality with Fertilizer Types in Wheat Cultivation)

  • 밀 친환경 재배를 위해 화학비료 사용을 줄이고 밀 품질을 향상하기 위한 유기질비료와 미생물퇴비의 적정 사용량을 설정하고자 시험한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 밀 생육특성 중 간장은 시비량이 많을수록 보리복합비료 처리에서는 컸으나 미생물퇴비와 유기질비료 처리에서는 뚜렷한 차이를 보이지 않았고, 수장은 보리복합비료 > 미생물퇴비 > 유기질비료 순으로 길었으나 시비량 간에는 일정한 경향을 보이지 않았다. 2. 밀 수량구성요소 중 수당입수는 비료 종류나 시비량 간에 차이가 없었고, $m^2$당 경수는 비료 종류 간에는 복합비료 > 유기질비료 > 미생물퇴비 순으로 많았으며, 시비량은 200% 시용에서는 많아 차이를 보였으며, 천립중은 금강밀은 41.1~42.7 g, 조경밀은 41.0~42.9 g 으로 처리 간에 일정한 경향을 보이지 않았다. 3. 비료의 종류에 상관없이 시비량이 증가 할수록 생육 및 수량은 좋았으며, 비종간에는 유기질비료가 미생물 퇴비보다 수량성은 높으나 보리복합비료(관행 4.12 Ton $ha^{-1}$) 대비 2~6%가 감수되었으나 통계적으로 유의성이 없었다. 4. 친환경 자재의 적정 사용량은 표준시비 수준인 유기질 비료은 800 kg $ha^{-1}$, 미생물퇴비는 2,000 kg $ha^{-1}$ 시용으로 95%이상의 수량을 얻을 수 있었다. 5. 밀가루의 품질은 밑거름 50% 감비구에서 다소 떨어지는 경향을 보였으며, 단백질함량과 침전가는 관행복합비료 > 미생물퇴비 > 유기질비료 순이었으나 회분함량은 0.40~0.38%로 일정한 경향을 보이지 않았다.

Effect of Soil Water Stress on Yield and Quality of Korean Wheat

  • Among annual precipitation in Korea (1306.3 mm), 54% of it falls intensively in summer, and only about 12.4% falls in April and May, when the water requirement of wheat is the highest. Korean wheat also could be damaged by soil water excess stress as frozen soil thaws after winter (late Feb-Mar). This study was conducted to evaluate effect of soil water stress on yield and quality of Korean wheat cultivar 'Saegeumgang'. Soil water treatments consisted of 4 treatments; water excess treatment in tilling stage (3.23-3.30), drought treatment in ripening stage (Apr-Jun), irrigation treatment in ripening stage (5.10) and standard condition. There was no significant difference between the treatment conditions for culm length, and the number of spike number was the highest in the order of irrigation in the ripening period (951)> standard cultivation (876)> excess water treatment in the tilling stage (752)> drought treatment in the ripening stage (767/m2). Test weight and Thousand grain weight were 548g/L and 22. lg respectively, which were lower than other treatments, and there was no significant difference between the other treatments. Abortive grain was 5.4kg/10a which was lower than other treatment, and there was no significant difference between the other treatment than other treatments. In drought treatment, protein content was 11.9% which is the highest among all treatments, and SDS-sedimentation value was 27.2ml under drought treatment which was very low compared to other treatments. Therefore, wheat yield and spike number were decreased in excess water condition at tilling stage and drought condition at ripening stage. Furthermore, wheat quality became deteriorate in drought condition at ripening stage.

보리의 수발아정도가 재발아, 수량 및 품질에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Sprouted Degree of Barley on Viviparity for Regermination, Yield and Grain Quality)

  • 다양한 용도에 적합한 양질품종을 육성하기 위하여 찰성 및 과성인자가 도입된 계통들이 육성, 보급단계에 이르고 있다. 이들 인자를 도입함에 따라 흡수성, 퍼짐성이 좋아지고 호화개시온도, 호화시간이 짧아졌으며 쌀보리의 재배지대 북상에 문제가 되던 내한성도 해결되었다. 그러나 찰성인자가 흡수성이 빠른 점과 쌀보리의 종피가 과실과 분리되어 수분을 보지하는 시간이 길어짐에 따라 찰 쌀보리는 수발아의 위험성은 더욱 커지게 되었다. 보리 수확시기에 수발아는 품종육성 및 재배, 이용면에서 대단히 중요한 재해이다. 본 시험에서 수발아정도에 따른 수량의 감소와 품질변화 및 수발아된 종자를 종자로 이용시 재발아정도를 조사하여 얻은 몇가지 결과는 다음과 같다 1. 발아된 종자의 재발아율은 발근장 2mm시 68%, 4mm에서 49%이었으나 그이상에서는 급격히 낮아졌으며, PI는 대조구에 비해 발근장 2mm 에서도 큰 차이를 보였다. 2. 발근정도에 따른 수량감소율은 발근장이 길어지면 커지는 경향이었고, 3. 발근장이 길어지면 쌀보리 72%, 겉보리 64%로 도정하는 정맥시간이 짧아졌으며, 4. 발근정도에 따른 도정후 완전입율은 대조구(2시간 침적)에서 98∼96.5%이나 발근장 14mm 에서는 64∼82.4%로 크게 저하되었으며, 5. 도정된 보리쌀의 백도는 무처리구보다도 침적2시간 및 발근장 2mm처리에서 높았으나 발근장이 길어짐에 따라 점차 낮아졌다 6. 발근장이 길어짐에 따라 Sedimentation value는 점차 낮아졌다.

Tank 모형을 이용한 동해안 오십천 하구의 유사량 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Estimate of Sediment Yield Using Tank Model in Oship River Mouth of East Coast)

  • 본 연구에서는 유량 및 유사량 자료가 부족한 미계측 유역에 대해 Tank모형을 확장하여 궁극적으로 유사량을 평가하는 방법을 제시하였다. 적용 유역은 동해안 타 유역에 비해 유량자료가 확보되어 있는 오십천을 대상으로 집중호우기의 토사유출 특징과 하천의 토사유달률을 구하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 1) 실측에 의한 유사량의 산정에 있어서는 먼저 유사량 관계식(sediment rating curve)의 개발이 선행되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 유량 산정지점에 대해 유량과 병행하여 유사량 관계식을 다음과 같이 구하였다. 오십천 유량-유사량 관계식 : $Q_s=6.017Q^{1.374}$ 2) Tank모형을 적용하여 2006년 강우유출량을 산정한 결과 관측값과 유사한 값($RMSE=1.26m^3/day$)을 얻을 수 있었다. 3) 대상지역의 2006년과 2009년의 연평균 토사전달율 을 비교한 결과 태풍에 따른 집중강우가 있었던 2006년의 토사전달율이 평년의 2009년에 비해 현저하게 높았는데 이는 급격한 강우유출량의 증가에 따른 것이라 보인다. 4) 개량된 Tank모형에 의한 유량 및 토사유출량은 기존의 SRC방법과 비교했을 경우 유사한 경향을 보였으며 이는 향후 유량과 유사량 자료가 부족한 유역에 대해 효과적으로 적용할 수 있을 것으로 본다.

Comparison of Milling and Flour Quality Characteristics of Foreign Wheat and Korean Wheat

  • This study was investigated to compare the milling and physicochemical characteristics of six Korean wheat cultivars (Keumkang, KK; Jokyung, JK; Goso, GS; Joongmo2008, JM; Baekkang, BK; Saekeumkang, SKK) and five foreign wheat classes (Australian standard white wheat, ASW; Australian hard, AH; US northern spring, NS; US hard red winter, HRW; Soft wheat, SW). Korea and foreign wheat grains were milled using a Buhler MLU-202. Flour moisture, ash, protein, gluten, sedimentation, particle size, solvent retention capacity (SRC) and dough properties of flour were analyzed. Results showed that the hard wheats had a greater total flour yield and reduction fraction yield than the soft wheats regardless of the country. However, there were in the milling characteristics between the US and Korean soft wheats. GS, a soft wheat in Korea, had the lowest flour yield (59.6%) and the highest bran fraction yield (21.4%). The particle sizes of flour by milling fraction were B1>B2>B3 for the largest, and the R1〈R2〈R3 for the smallest. Particle size, ash, protein contents and the values of lactic acid SRC showed highly correlated with flour yield. The gluten-performance-index (GPI) is the ratio of the lactic acid SRC value to the sum of sodium carbonate and sucrose SRC values, and it has been used as a quality indicator for overall performance potential of flour. GPI values differed depending on the wheat variety or class, JM (0.82) was the highest value, and SKK (0.56) and SW (0.59) were low. The curve pattern of the Mixolab result also gives a quality indication of the flour sample. JM and NS flour had similar pattern at water absorption and gluten strength parameters and BK and HRW had similar viscosity patterns. These results will enable further study for blending Korean wheat cultivar to improve the flour quality.

새로이 분리된 Klebsiella pneumoniae 균주들의 글리세롤 기반 3-hydroxypropionic acid 및 1,3-propanediol 동시 생산성 평가 (Evaluation of Newly Isolated Klebsiella pneumoniae Strains for the Co-Production of 3-hydroxypropionic acid and 1,3-propanediol from Glycerol)

  • Co-production of 3-hydroxypropionic acid (3-HP) and 1,3-propanediol (1,3-PDO) was suggested as an innovative strategy to overcome several limitations occurring in the single production of 3-HP from glycerol. In this study, two new isolates of Klebsiella pneumoniae, which produce less lipopolysaccharide (LPS) thus considered less pathogenic than K. pneumoniae DSM 2026, were compared and evaluated for their potential for the co-production of 3-HP and 1,3-PDO. The newly isolated strains showed significantly faster sedimentation rate than DSM, which should be beneficial for downstream processing. Analysis of genome sequences of the isolates confirmed the presence of all genes necessary for glycerol assimilation, 1,3-PDO production and biosynthesis of coenzyme $B_{12}$. Co-production yield was highest under anaerobic condition while cell growth was highest under aerobic condition. Both strains showed similarly good performance for the co-production although J2B gave the slightly higher co-production yield of 0.80 mol/mol than GSC021 (0.75 mol/mol). The evaluation of the newly developed strains presented here should be useful in designing similar evaluation experiments for other microorganisms.

Analysis of agricultural characteristics and qualities of wheat under high temperature

  • High temperature is one of major environmental stress. Heat in flowering season of wheat is able to effect negatively to fertilization and also heat effect to maturity. Therefore, Heat stress effects severely to qualities of wheat and yield productivity. In this study, we evaluated to agronomic characteristics and qualities by high temperature in 13 Korean wheat varieties. Weight of 1,000 grains decreased when wheat got the heat stress. In particular, heat stress during the heading dates were more damaged than after the end of heading dates except two varieties Keumkang and Jokyoung. Plant height of each cultivar under high temperature and normal field averaged 80.5 cm and 83.0cm, respectively. The length of spike and awn in each cultivar were similar to both condition. Flour yield and gluten contents of most heat damaged wheat decreased. Under the temperature, protein contents of six varieties like as Keumkang, Baekjoong, Hojoong, Yeonbaek, Joah and Shinmichal 1 decreased but the others increased. The sedimentation values (SDSF) of four varieties decreased under the high temperature. But SDSF of 7 varieties like as Baekjung, Suan, Hojoong, Jojoong, Uri, Shinmichal and Shinmichal 1 was increased. The lightness (L) of wheat flour derived from high temperature treated wheat was darker than non-treated wheat. As a result of this research, we confirmed that agricultural traits and qualities decreased in heat damaged wheat.

  • 석유화학공정에서 fouling현상은 열교환기, 보일러, desalter 등 주요 전처리 시설 및 공정에 polymer, heavy paraffine, chemicals, heavy organics, asphaltene, resin, metallics, salts 등 불순물들이 침적 및 부식을 일으켜 각종 조업에 있어서 에너지의 다량소비 및 product yield의 감소 또는 공정의 중단으로 말미암아 생산성의 손실이 대단히 크다고 볼 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 석유화학 공정에서 foulants의 분리되는 양을 계산하고, 제어할 수 있는 model의 개발을 위하여 fouling 현상에 대한 modeling을 연속열역학과 Peng-Robinson 상태 방정식, 고분자 용액 이론, 다성분계 열역학 이론 등을 이용하여 fouling 현상에 대한 메카니즘규명과 모델링을 하였다.

참깨 종류에 따른 참기름의 이화학적 특성 (Physical and Chemical Characteristics of Sesame Oils by Kinds of Sesame)

  • This study was investigated to viscosity, color, chemical properties, and lipid and fatty acid composition for examination of physical and chemical characteristics of sesame oils. Yield of sesame oil was higher in Ansan sesame than that of Chinese and Dambaek sesame. Viscosity of sesame oils was higher than that of shame oils from Dambaek and Chinese sesame, but turbidity and sedimentation rate were higher in Dambaek's sesame oil than those of Ansan's and Chinese sesame oils. In the acid value, saponification value and iodine value of sesame oils, and chemical characteristics of Dambaek's sesame oil were better than those of the others. The neutral, glycolipid and phosholipid contents of sesame oils were 91.1∼92.1, 2.5∼3.5 and 5.5∼6.4%, respectively. The major fatty acids of sesame oils were oleic, linoleic palmitic and stearic acid. The content of oleic acid was higher in Dambaek's and Ansan's sesame oil than that of Chinese sesame oil, and the content of linoleic acid was higher in Chinese sesame oil than the others. The fatty acid composition of neutral lipid, glycolipid and phospholipid were similar to those of total lipid. The ratio of unsaturated fatty acid and saturated fatty acid was higher in Korean sesame oils than those in Chinese sesame oil. The mineral(Mg, Cu, Fe, In, Al, Mn) content of Korean sesame oils was higher than that of Chinese sesame oil. and heavy metals(Cu, Ag, Pb, Cd, As) were not detected.
