  • Although the area of information security planning and management has gained an increased attention, not much discussion was available on the role and the impact of the board members towards a firm's security management and governance decisions. In this research, we draw on corporate governance and the organizational demography literature to conduct an exploratory empirical study on the association between the board structure of a firm and the possibility of information security breaches. Our results show that the board size, the average age/tenure and the heterogeneity of age could reduce the possibility of security breaches while the proportion of independent directors and the heterogeneity of tenure could increase it. Our findings shed lights on the important role played by the board when managing information security risks in organizations.

  • Trust models in the literature of MANETs commonly assume that packets have different security requirements. Before a node forwards a packet, if the recipient's trust level does not meet the packet's requirement level, then the recipient must perform certain security association procedures, such as re-authentication. We present in this paper an analysis of the epidemic broadcast delay in such context. The network, mobility and trust models presented in this paper are quite generic and allow us to obtain the delay component induced only by the security associations along a path. Numerical results obtained by simulations also confirm the accuracy of the analysis. In particular, we can observe from both simulation's and analysis results that, for large and sparsely connected networks, the delay caused by security associations is very small compared to the total delay of a packet. This also means that parameters like network density and nodes' velocity, rather than any trust model parameter, have more impact on the overall delay.

  • This study has been conducted to provide data that contribute to increasing efficiency of 'Private Security', which is cooperated by customer, security companies and the police which carried out 'Public Law Enforcement' and controls security companies. To reach this purpose, we investigated the status of the 'Security Alarm Systems' operated by security service companied in Korea, analyzed arising problems, considered the polices for improving the operational quality. 'Electronic Security Systems' will increase working efficiency in performing 'Private Security'. There can be no two opinions on this matter. Therefore, it can be supposed that the improvement of operational quality of 'Electronic Security System' is an important factor to accomplish security services. 'Security Alarm System' is one of the 'Electronic Security System'. The critical problems in operating 'Security Alarm system' are unnecessary response by false alarm and nuisance alarm. To reduce the problems, it is suggested that security specialist officially licensed should improve security planning, installation and maintenance, and the 'Alarm Verification System' should be introduced with appropriate facilities.

  • Cookie is simple text file, which contains records of web service which provided to user. some of data included in Cookie has user's private information. When attacker has Cookie which included user's private information, will causing financial losses. In this paper we designed security section which can improve vulnerable Cookie's security level. Through research and vulnerability analysis of Cookie file, we find out how to implement security area to offer efficient security area and design security area for cookie file. Also we checked security level to performance evaluation. Through this security level, we can keep user's private information secure using Cookie's improve security level which stored in user's personal computer.

  • Industrial security research has shown a rapid increase over the past decade. With the establishment of the Korean Association for Industrial Security in 2008 and the establishment of the departments of industrial security in recent years, academic interests and research on industrial security are also spreading at a rapid pace. Although academic interest and research have grown in quantitative terms, research on theoretical fields that are the basis of academic systematization is extremely limited. There is a focus on the issue of specific issues and practical solutions without worrying about the theoretical basis including conceptualization. Therefore, in most studies, the concept of industrial security remains at the level of accepting the concept applied in the previous research. Most industrial security research focuses on the specific topic of 'industrial technology protection' because it considers the concept of industrial security to be reduced to industrial technology protection. Although industrial security is composed of a wide range of fields, recognizing a specific field as an entirety of industrial security appears to be a serious problem. As a result, the concept of industrial security in industrial security research is being used ambiguously, incorrectly, and conveniently. It is necessary to accurately and recognize the concept of industrial security based on logical clarity and empirical feasibility.

  • Our conuntry have come out to the phenomenon to the atrocity crimes, make into a intellecture crims and specialization with them due to various change to the expension of economy growth, drift of population to cities and sense of value is plunged in confution, Now that things have come to this day, since foundation of the security guard law it first begin, ten years, civilian securities guard law was include to the civil service securities law due to amendment fo the civility secuties law newly on Dec. 30, 1995. According to the amendment, the part of the public peace of peoples livelihood were slough of the visual angle in knowledge which function of the civilies security were only be in under the government dimension were put in order to be tointly according to the such state of affairs, should found the consider a counterplan fundamentally regarding to the what to doing efforts foster the civilities securitylaw and qualitalive elevation of presidential guards. The first, peoples arrengements for the attitude fo public duty service with devotedly Sustaining publicity work activities for the thire divert of the understanding of civilian security guard. The secondly, Existing security traders and security association should to support to the civilian security works. The third, The government office concerned should strengthen the licensing system in order to improve the quality of existings in order to may establishment newly systems of license and technical institute of regarding to them. The fourth, Should be newly organixed the exclusive organization of personal protective works in the police buroau for the sustaining development of civirity guard works and soundness of the upbringing. • Purpose Although examining the antecedents of employees' extra-role behavior (i.e. information security participation behavior) in the information security context is significant for researchers and practitioners, most behavioral security studies have focused on employees' in-role behavior (i.e. information security policy compliance). Thus, this research addresses this gap by investigating how organizational information security climate influences information security participation behavior based on social information processing theory and Griffin and Neal's safety model. Design/methodology/approach We developed a research model by applying Griffin and Neal's safety model to the information security context and then tested our research model by conducting an online survey for employees of organizations with information security policies. Structural equation modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS 3.3.2 is used to test the corresponding hypothesis. Findings Our results show that organizational information security climate, information security knowledge, information security motivation are effective in motivating information security participation behavior. Also, we find that organizational information security climate positively influences both information security knowledge and information security motivation. Our findings emphasize the importance of organizational information security climate because it is capable of affecting employees on information security participation behavior. Our study contributes to the literature on information security by exploring the role of organizational information security climate in enhancing employees' information security participation behavior.

  • Up to now, the security system in Korea has been developed from the human security system to more efficient mechanical security system. The mechanical security system has its advantages over the human security system in terms of economy and operation. However, as there are weaknesses in the use of mechanical security equipment such as erroneous alarm sounds, the studies have been done to improve them. This paper tries to suggest how to improve the mechanical security system based on the results of the study on the weakness of the mechanical security obtained through AHP technique.
