Avian pathogenic E. coli (APEC) causes severe economic losses in the poultry farms, due to systemic infections leading to lethal colisepticemia. It causes a variety of diseases from air sac infection to systemic spread leading to septicemia. Secondary infection contains opportunistic infections due to immunosuppression disease. Collibacillosis causes the great problems in the poultry industry in Korea. Thus, it is necessary to identify and classify the characteristics of E. coli isolate of chicken origin to confirm the diversity of symptoms and whether they are transmitted among the farms. Fragment analysis is identify the difference in the number of Variable-Number Tandem-Repeats (VNTRs) for genotyping. VNTRs have repeating structure (Microsatellite, Short tandem repeats; STR, Simple sequence repeats; SSR) in the chromosome. This region can be used as a genetic marker because of its high mutation rate. And various lengths of the amplified DNA fragment cause the difference in the number of repetition of the DNA specific site. The number of repetition sequences indicates the separated size of fragments, so the each fragments can be distinguished by specific samples. The results of the sample show that there is no difference in six microsatellite loci (yjiD, aidB, molR_1, ftsZ, b1668, yibA). There are differences among the farms in relation of the number of repetitions of other six microsatellite loci (ycgW, yaiN, yiaB, mhpR, b0829, caiF). Four (ycgW, yiaB, b0829, caiF) of these six microsatellite loci show statistically significant differences (P<0.05). It means that the analysis using four microsatellite loci including ycgW, yiaB, b0829, and caiF can confirm among the farms. Five E. coli samples in one farm have same SSR repetition at all markers. But, there are significant differences from other farms at Four (ycgW, yiaB, b0829, caiF) microsatellite loci. These results emphasize again that the four microsatellite loci makes a difference in the amplified DNA fragments, enabling it to be used for E. coli genotyping.

Plants have evolved along with pathogens, and they have developed sophisticated defense systems against specific microorganisms to survive. G-protons are considered one of the upstream signaling components working as a key for the defense signal transduction pathway. For activation and inactivation of G-protein, GTP-biding proteins are involved. GTP -binding proteins are found in all organisms. Small GTP-binding proteins, having masses of 21 to 30kD, belong to a superfamily, often named the Ras supefamily because the founding members are encoded by human Ras genes initially discovered as cellular homologs of the viral ras oncogene. Members of this supefamily share several common structural features, including several guanine nucleotide binding domains and an effector binding domain. However, exhibiting a remarkable diversity in both structure and function. They are important molecular switches that cycle between the GDP-bound inactive form into the GTP-bound active form through GDP/GTP replacement. In addition, most GTP-binding proteins cycle between membrane-bound and cytosolic forms. such as the RAC family are cytosolic signal transduction proteins that often are involved in processing of extracellular stimuli. Plant RAC proteins are implicated in regulation of plant cell architecture secondary wall formation, meristem signaling, and defense against pathogens. But their molecular mechanisms and functions are not well known. We isolated a RacB homolog from rice to study its role of defense against pathogens. We introduced the constitutively active and the dominant negative forms of the GTP-hinging protein OsRacB into the wild type rice. The dominant negative foms are using two forms (full-sequence and specific RNA interference with RacB). Employing southern, and protein analysis, we examine to different things between the wild type and the transformed plant. And analyzing biolistic bombardment of onion epidermal cell with GFP-RacB fusion protein revealed association with the nucle.
In cementless total hip arthroplasty(THA), an initial stability of the femoral component is mandatory to achieve bony ingrowth and secondary long term fixation. Bone ingrowth depends strongly on relative micromotion and stress distributions at the interface. Primary stability of the femoral component can be obtained by minimizing the magnitude of relative micromotions at bone-prosthesis interface, Hence an accurate evaluation of interface behavior and stress/strain fields in the bone implant system may be relevant for better understanding of clinical situations and improving THA design. However, complete evaluation of load transfer in the bone remains difficult to assess experimentally, Hence, recently finite element method (FEM) was introduced in orthopaedic research field to fill the gap due to its unique capacity to evaluate stress in structure of complex shape, loading and material behavior. The authors developed the 3-dimensional numerical finite element model which is composed of totally 1179 elements off and 8 node blick. We also analyzed the micromotions at the bone-stem interface and mechanical behavior of existing bone prosthesis for a loading condition simulating the single leg stance. The result indicates that the values of relative motion for this well fit Multilock stem were $150{\mu}m$ in maximum, $82{\mu}m$ in minimum, and the largest relative motion developed in medial region of proximal femur with anterior-posterior direction. The proximal region of the bone was much larger in motion than the distal region and the stress pattern shows high stress concentration on the cortex near the tip of the stem. These findings indicates that the loading in the proximal femoral bone in the early postoperative situation can produce micromotions on the interface and clinically cementless TEA patient should not be allowed weight bearing strictly early in the postoperative period.
A fish, collected from the Tongbok stream, secondary tributary of the Somjin River system, appeared to be a hybrid between Cobitis longicorpus and Misgurunus anguilicaudatus. The morphological features of this specimen have suborbital spine and distinctive black small spots at the back of its opecleula characterized by C. longicorpus. However, it has totally different body color patterns on the sides of body from the C. longicorpus and The structure of lami-na circularis was less distinctive than that of C. longicorpus. Body measurements of the specimen were similar to the C. longicorpus with the exceptions as caudal peduncle depth(CPD), caudal peduncle length(CPL), predorsal length and CPD/CPL. CPD/CPL were sightly higher and longer than that of the C. longicorpus, and predorsal length was more similar to the M. anguilicaudatus than the C. longicorpus. CPD/CPL value was intermediate between the two parental species. This results indicate that the specimen used in this study is a hybrid between Cobitis longicorpus and Misgurunus anguilicaudatus.
In the current study we assessed a new crystallized compound, 5-(1-hydroxybutyl)-4-methoxy-3-methyl-2H-pyran-2-one (C-HMMP), from the endophytic fungus Colletotrichum acutatum residing in the medicinal plant Angelica sinensis for its in vitro antimicrobial, antibiofilm, antioxidant, antimalarial, and anti-proliferative properties. The promising compound was identified as C-HMMP through antimicrobial-guided fraction. The structure of C-HMMP was unambiguously confirmed by 2D NMR and HIRS spectroscopic analysis. Antimicrobial property testing of C-HMMP showed it to be effective against a variety of pathogenic bacteria and fungi with MICs ranging from 3.9 to 31.25 ㎍/ml. The compound displayed excellent antibiofilm activity against C. albicans, S. aureus, and K. pneumonia. Furthermore, the antimalarial and radical scavenging activities of C-HMMP were clearly dosedependent, with IC50 values of 0.15 and 131.2 ㎍/ml. The anti-proliferative activity of C-HMMP against the HepG-2, HeLa, and MCF-7 cell lines in vitro was investigated by MTT assay, revealing notable anti-proliferative activity with IC50 values of 114.1, 90, and 133.6 ㎍/ml, respectively. Moreover, CHMMP successfully targets topoisomerase I and demonstrated beneficial anti-mutagenicity in the Ames test against the reactive carcinogenic mutagen, 2-aminofluorene (2-AF). Finally, the compound inhibited the activity of α-glucosidase and α-amylase with IC50 values of 144.7 and 118.6 ㎍/ml, respectively. To the best of our knowledge, the identified compound C-HMMP was obtained for the first time from C. acutatum of A. sinensis, and this study demonstrated that C-HMMP has relevant biological significance and could provide better therapeutic targets against disease.
The nucleophilic substitution reactions of ethylene phosphorochloridate (1c) with substituted anilines ($XC_6H_4NH_2$) and deuterated anilines ($XC_6H_4ND_2$) are investigated kinetically in acetonitrile at $5.0^{\circ}C$. The anilinolysis rate of 1c involving a cyclic five-membered ring is four thousand times faster than its acyclic counterpart (1a: diethyl chlorophosphate) because of great positive value of the entropy of activation of 1c (${\Delta}S^{\neq}=+30\;cal\;mol^{-1}K^{-1}$ compared to negative value of 1a (${\Delta}S^{\neq}=-45\;cal\;mol^{-1}K^{-1}$) over considerably unfavorable enthalpy of activation of 1c (${\Delta}H^{\neq}=27.7\;kcal\;mol^{-1}$) compared to 1a (${\Delta}H^{\neq}=8.3\;kcal\;mol^{-1}$). Great enthalpy and positive entropy of activation are ascribed to sterically congested transition state (TS) and solvent structure breaking in the TS. The free energy correlations exhibit biphasic concave upwards for substituent X variations in the X-anilines with a break point at X = 3-Me. The deuterium kinetic isotope effects are secondary inverse ($k_H/k_D$ < 1) with the strongly basic anilines and primary normal ($k_H/k_D$ > 1) with the weakly basic anilines and rationalized by the TS variation from a dominant backside attack to a dominant frontside attack, respectively. A concerted $S_N2$ mechanism is proposed and the primary normal deuterium kinetic isotope effects are substantiated by a hydrogen bonded, four-center-type TS.

In this work, $LiMn_2O_4$ and $LiNi_{1/3}Mn_{1/3}Co_{1/3}O_2$ cathode materials are mixed by some specific ratios to enhance the practical capacity, energy density and cycle performance of battery. At present, the most used cathode material in lithium ion batteries for EVs is spinel structure-type $LiMn_2O_4$. $LiMn_2O_4$ has advantages of high average voltage, excellent safety, environmental friendliness, and low cost. However, due to the low rechargeable capacity (120 mAh/g), it can not meet the requirement of high energy density for the EVs, resulting in limiting its development. The battery of $LiMn_2O_4-LiNi_{1/3}Mn_{1/3}Co_{1/3}O_2$ (50:50 wt%) mixed cathode delivers a energy density of 483.5 mWh/g at a current rate of 1.0 C. The accumulated capacity from $1^{st}$ to 150th cycles was 18.1 Ah/g when the battery is cycled at a current rate of 1.0 C in voltage range of 3.2~4.3 V.
