In this paper, we introduce a procedure to obtain a equivalent circuit of comb-line band pass filter. By employing equivalent circuits of each asymmetrical coupled line. we composed the full equivalent circuit of comb-line bandpass filter and derived simple design equations for extracting each line's impedance. To show the validity of design equations, we simulated and fabricated a planar type comb-line bandpass filter, which has center frequency 1.8㎓, band-width 50㎒ and four resonators. The resulting filter is very compact, have broad stop band with the second pass band centered at four times the center frequency of the first pass band. The experimental results show exact performances of design specification.

A line of Japanese quail selected for increased body weight for 15 generations (C) and an unselected control line (K) were used to examine the impact of selection for body weight on the growth curve of Japanese quail. In addition, the effect of sex on the growth curve in each line was also studied, namely females of C (CF), males of C (CM), females of K (KF) and males of K (KM). The monophasic and diphasic growth models were studied for adequacy in describing growth curves of quail in both sexes of the C and K lines. The monophasic function provided almost the same growth rate for both sexes in both lines. However, the growth rates calculated by means of the diphasic function differed between sexes for both lines, except for those calculated for C during the second growth phase. While there were 2-3 days difference between sexes in age at maximum gain in both lines with a monophasic model, the difference between sexes in the age at maximum gain in both lines became greater according to the diphasic model. There were 5 and 7 days difference between sexes in the age at maximum gain in line C for the first and second growth phases, respectively. A difference between sexes of 18 and 11 days in the age at maximum gain for the first and second phases, respectively, was estimated for line K when the diphasic function was fitted. The use of diphasic functions provides more detailed information on growth patterns. The results showed that the use of the diphasic function was better because it provided greater insights into understanding the biology of growth.

The purpose of this study was to examine how middle school students perceived the operation of on-line and off-line math-gifted education. The research questions were as follows: 1. How do students recognize the current situation concerning the operation of on-line and off-line gifted education? 2. How do students recognize the effect and satisfaction level of on-line and off-line gifted education? 3. How do students recognize the improvement of on-line and off-line gifted education? The subjects in this study were 591 students who included 208 in on-line classes and 383 in off-line classes. The results were as follows: First, the students who were enrolled in the on-line and off-line classes regarded gifted people as ones who had a superb ability in a particular field and as ones who think creatively. Second, all the students in on-line and off-line classes found gifted education to be of use to developing their potentials, and they had the biggest preference for experiential field study as the most effective teaching method. Third, concerning their needs for the management of gifted classes, they asked for immediate Q&A services over the Internet.

The aim of this paper is to find an adequate method to study declination in Korean. In previous studies of declination in Korean, maximum and minimum pitch values in an accentual phrase were measured. But this method is inadequate when an accentual phrase is located at the intonational phrase. So in order to exclude the final tone of an intonational phrase, we propose to measure pitch values of the first and second tone in an accentual phrase when the tonal pattern of the accentual phrase is 'LHLH'. In this case, the line that connects every first tone of an accentual phrase is the baseline, and the line that connects every second tone of an accentual phrase is the topline. By a comparison of declination between focused and neutral utterances, we will show that the topline of declination is more direct to the speaker's plan than the baseline.

The purpose of this thesis is to construct a model to estimate the delay that vehicles arriving randomly will be experienced at an isolated singalized intersection. To do this the following objectives are set in this study: (i) An what distance a random arrival pattern occurs after a platoon of vehicles are dis-charged from the stop line; (ii) A model which estimates the average delay per through-vehicle with respect to the de-gree of saturation; and (iii) The relation between the stepped delay and average approach delay per vehicle. The following are the findings of this study: (i) A random arrival pattern on the first second and third lanes occur 300,400 and 300m downstream from stop line rdspectively. A random arrival pattern on lane group occurs 500m downstream from the stop line ; (ii) A model for the estimation of approach delay has been developed in such a way that up to x=0.7 the delay increases linearly and beyond 0.7 the delay increases rapidly in a form of second order polynomial due to high degree of saturation : and (iii) Approach delay equals approximately 1.21 times of stopped delay.

Learning system on virtual environment gives the immersive feeling that lacks in existing E-Learning system, excites user's interest, and offers dangerous and expensive education contents. In this paper, we classified the learning categories into four classes: realtime lecture, anytime study, practice education, and the activity of study group. We built the on-line lecture system using Second Life that supports 3D virtual world and mixed reality. We provided virtual learning environment as running developed virtual world on-line lecture system.

Sometimes, literature therapy is done by literature question. Participants naturally get the effect of literature therapy depending on when and what questions we ask. This study aims to lead the discussion of Gosijo's literature physiology ignited by the question. Gosijo, the subject of the study, described the depressed present state of the poetic narrator in the first and second line. By the way, poetic narrator asked a question in the first phrase of the last line and led the action potential. And in the second phrase of the last line, the poetic narrator called the code of sadness and the sadness code came. We have plotted this as Emotion Codon. The result of Emotion Codon at this time was that the narrative of Gosijo ignites the literature therapy mechanism through sadness.

The incidence of colorectal cancer (CRC) has continuously increased and CRC is a major cause of cancer-related death. Systemic chemotherapy has resulted in a significant improvement in overall survival in metastatic CRC. The development of biologic agents for the treatment of CRC has additionally expanded the options for the treatment. Cetuximab is useful in KRAS wild type tumors in combination with chemotherapy for metastatic disease in both the first and second line settings. It is also used as monotherapy after failure of both irinotecan and oxaliplatin containing regimens. Panitumumab has similar indications, and is primarily used in patients intolerant to cetuximab due to hypersensitivity reactions. Bevacizumab is primarily used as first line and second line therapy in metastatic CRC. However, the optimal way and duration to combine these chemotherapeutic agents are not yet established.

The objective of this thesis to Provide a better insight into the effect of the amount of in-process storage has on the efficiency of production line with variable operation times. It is assumed that the material enters the line at the first work station and is then processed progressively through the line until it exits at the last work station, a finite amount of in-process storage is provided before all but the first work station of the line and the operation time of the work stations are statistically independent and follow exponential distribution. Under the above assumption, optimum allocation model is developed and following two approaches are used : 1) Given the available storage capacity, optimum allocation which minimizes the number of items in the line. 2) Given the available storage capacity, optimum allocation which. maximizes the utilization factor of the line. In a balanced three stage line, the production line efficiency is maximized under both categories when the second in-process storage is larger than the first.

Shinbundang-line is new Metropolitan Railway which was invested by private capital and is under construction for opening in 2010. Now Shinbundang-line pursues various innovation, for example, an express train which uses long distance of each station, and an unmanned operation. And it may be independent of existing metropolitan railway system from a viewpoint of line and fare system. So according to the present plan, Shinbundang-line will be not able to get sufficient demand because of weak connection with existing lines and monotonous function of the line. And it may be difficult to deliver various innovation which Shinbundang-line prepares to passengers. Hereupon, in this paper, I propose 3 methods for increasing competitive power of Shinbundang-line railway. First, making Shinbundang-line a trunk railway line of southern metropolitan area was proposed in relation to northern and southern extension of it. In addition connection with bus and light rail was discussed. Second, multipurpose usage of Shinbundang-line was proposed as express train and conventional passenger train in that line in addition to simple metropolitan railway. Finally, an effective operation method which Shinbundang-line must have was proposed from unmanned driving and fare system side. These methods can improve Shinbundang-line and then it will solve traffic congestion of southern metropolitan area effectively.
