A Study on Knitting Method of Seamless Knitted Garment Knitting Machine -Focused on Whole Garment Knitting Machine- (무 봉제 완벌 편기의 생산 방식에 관한 연구 -WHOLE GARMENT 편기를 중심으로-)

  • The purposes of this study are to see a manufacturing process on knit by comparison, and to present whole garment knitting machine different from the traditional method of the production by using the whole garment system. The characteristics of each stage were examined through SDS-one, Shimaseiki Design CAD System and the whole garment knitting machine. The whole garment knitting machine as a method of composing a suit of knitting product is a way of making creative knitting fashion, which also can be used as a basic material for the further study on the whole garment knitting machine. Eventually, it is expected that this machine can satisfy the knit wearers' various needs by showing more useful method to knit designers.

  • 분산발전에 있어 인버터는 병렬운전을 하게 되며 계통연계시 전류제어로, 단독운전 시에는 전압제어를 통해 제어가 이뤄진다. 단독운전 시 각 인버터들 간 동일한 부하 분담이 필요하고 계통연계에서 단독운전 또는 그 반대로 모드 변환이 있을때 과도한 상태변화가 없어야 한다. 계통연계와 단독운전에서 지역부하에 위치에 따른 고려와 모드 변환 시 과도현상을 줄이기 위해 간접전류제어방식을 사용하였고 단독운전 시 동일 부하 분담을 위해 드룹제어를 사용하였다. 각 모드 변환에 있어 매끄러운 절환을 유지하기 위해 Seamless Transfer를 기반으로 제어전략을 수립하였다.

  • The recent advance in wireless network technologies has enabled the streaming media service on the mobile devices such as PDAs and cellular phones. Since the wireless network has low bandwidth channels and mobile devices are actually composed of limited hardware specifications, the transcoding technology is needed to adapt streaming media to given mobile devices. Futhermore owing to the diversity of bandwidth in the wireless network by reason of mobile users' movements and environments, it is difficult to provide stable QoS. In this paper, the autonomic multimedia transcoding system is proposed in order for users to provide network adaptive QoS. Our proposed system is based on the estimation of available bandwidth in wireless network for seamless multimedia streaming service. The proposed system is designed and implemented for various mobile clients. In experiments, we evaluate its seamless multimedia streaming and the adaptation transcoding bit rate according to the changes of bandwidth in wireless network.

  • The 3D display has been used in optical projection technology to connect twenty mini- projectors with seamless image tiling. In this way, we can improve the projected resolution by reducing each project screen and increase projected area by connect several mini-projectors. In this article, the illumination system uses the LED light source, non- telecentric structure and LCOS panel, and it's total length is less than 10 centimeter. It can build a seamless large display by tiling multiple projectors.

  • In order to provide seamless wireless Internet service, the basic mobile IP protocol should be enhanced to solve packet loss problem from large registration latency because frequent handoffs occur in cellular networks. In this paper, we suggest a new micro-mobility management protocol based on MPLS while supporting Qos, and evaluate its performance using simulation. We use MPLS label switching techniuqe in cellular access networks to simplify location management and speed up packet transmission. We adopt context transfer procedure to minimize the delay needed to attain prior level of service after handoff Packet loss can be minimized during handoff by transmitting received packets from old BSLER to new BSLER using a spliced LSP between them. Simulation results show that the proposed MPLS-based micro-mobility management protocol provides a seamless handoff and supports QoS of user traffic.

A Survey on Qualitative Analysis of Directional VANET MAC Protocols

  • Since vehicles' trajectories are so complex and dense traffic changes in nature frequently, the VANET (Vehicles Ad-hoc Network), using Omni-directional Antenna, has many channel collisions (or overlapping) on Data Link phrases (MAC layers). It is not easy to keep a good seamless communication status for VANET because of its unpredictable network environment. Among VANET research, Directional Antenna have been proposed as one of the most common systematical solutions to reduce (or to mitigate) this miss-communication problems by narrowing communicational ranges and making use of its customized error-detection process. However, even though Directional Antennas help VANET keep good seamless communication, many VANET researchers have reported that Directional VANET still has miss-communicational problems - this has lead to problems like 'Directional Hidden Terminal Problem', 'Deafness', 'Un-accuracy Lobe Scopes' and 'High Deployment Cost' being reported in various papers. To establish well-organized design assessments for a good Directional VANET MAC protocol to overcome these problems, we rearranged and grouped current Directional VANET' qualitative criteria from several current survey papers using these categories- 'Directional Discovery', 'Directional Forwarding' and 'Directional Handover'. In addition, based on the results of the following analysis, we show the essential design concerns that need to be looked at in order to develop a well-designed Directional-VANET MAC protocol.

Design and Control Strategy for Autonomous and Seamless Mode Transition of High Efficiency Bidirectional DC-DC Converter for ISG Systems (ISG 시스템용 고효율 양방향 DC-DC 컨버터의 설계 및 자율적이며 끊김없는 모드전환을 위한 제어전략)

  • In this study, a bidirectional DC-DC converter for idle stop and go (ISG) is developed to reduce fuel consumption. A three-phase non-isolated half-bridge converter is selected through a design method by considering efficiency and volume. According to the state of charge of the batteries at both the low-voltage and high-voltage sides, buck mode, which charges a low-voltage battery from the generated motor energy, and boost mode, which provides power to the motor from the low- and high-voltage battery sides, are required in the ISG system. Hence, an autonomous and seamless bidirectional control method using a variable current limiter is proposed for mode change. A 1.8 kW engineering sample of the proposed converter has been built and tested to verify the validity of the proposed concept. The maximum efficiencies, including gate driver and control circuit losses, are 96.4% in charging mode and 96.1% in discharging mode.

  • Topology optimization is widely accepted as a conceptual design tool for the product design. Since the resulted layout of the topology optimization is a kind of digital images represented by the density distribution, the seamless process is required to transform digital images to the CAD model for the practical use.   • This study investigated fabrics, washing and cares, design, pattern, subsidiary materials, and sewing methods with a focus on the functional outers using moisture-permeable waterproof fabric as a shell; in addition, each element was analyzed for differences depending on fabric type. The characteristics of 34 outers were investigated through labels, online product introductions, visual inspection, observations from two experts with more than 30 years experience and wear tests. Moisture-permeable waterproof fabrics used for the outer were classified into two types; in addition, the shell of the high-density fabric and the 2 & 3-layer fabrics had different characteristics. Various fabrics, detailed designs, and three-dimensional patterns suitable for each part of the human body were used to improve functionality. In addition, various subsidiary materials and sewing methods were used to form an organic relationship. The same washing and cares, patterns and subsidiary materials were used regardless of fabric type; however, the fabric type influenced the detailed design and sewing. The outers with high-density fabric had a loose fit, short placket, e-banded cuffs, lock-stitch, and lock-stitch+binding. However, the outer with 2 & 3 layer fabric had a slim fit, hood width adjustment, zippered pockets, cuffs with tab, seamless adhesive sewing such as laminating, lock-stitch+ seam-sealing, and welding.

  • A CAD-based seamless design system for MEMS named DS/MEMS was developed which performs coupled-field analysis, optimal and robust design. DS/MEMS has been developed by means of integrating commercial codes and inhouse code-SolidWorks, FEMAP, ANSYS and CA/MEMS. This strategy results in versatility that means to include various analysis model, corresponding analyses and approximated design sensitivity analysis and user friendliness that design variables are taken to be selectable directly from a CAD model, that the problem is formulated under a window environment and that the manual job during optimization process is almost eliminated. DS/MEMS works on a parametric CAD platform, integrating CAD modeling, analysis, and optimization. Nonlinear programming algorithms, the Taguchi method, and response surface method are made available for optimization. One application problem is taken to illustrate the proposed methodology and show the feasibility of DS/MEMS as a practical tool.
