Oyster reef에서 black sea bass, Centropristis striata 치어의 행동 (Behavior of Juvenile Black Sea Bass, Centropristis striata (Linnaeus) on Oyster Reefs)

  • black sea bass 치어(이하 치어라 칭함)의 기질 선택성을 수조 내부의 바닥을 굴 껍질 관련 기질과 모래 기질을 덮어 이등분 한 원형수조(1.5 m 직경${\times}$0.4 m 깊이)에서 조사하였다. 실험어는 1개체를 수조에 넣는 단독수용과 5개체를 넣는 그룹으로 하였다. 모든 치어의 기질 선택행동 실험은 20분간 비디오에 녹화하여 모니터 상에서 관찰하였고 수조 내에서 치어의 위치와 각 기질에서 체류한 시간을 기록하였다. 굴 껍질 관련 기질에서 치어가 보낸 평균시간은 1개체 수용구에서 $18.1{\pm}2.0$분과 5개체 수용구에서 $17.5{\pm}1.7$분으로 나타났다. 한편, 모래기질 위에서는 1개체 수용구에서 $2.0{\pm}1.0$분과 5개체 수용구에서 $2.5{\pm}1.7$분으로 나타났다. 1개체와 5개체의 치어로 수행한 실험 모두에서 모래 기질보다는 굴 껍질 관련 기질에 대해 유의한 선택성을 나타냈다(paired t-test, P<0.05). 굴 껍질 관련 기질 아래 체제시간은 1개체 수용구에서 $16.6{\pm}2.0$분과 5개체 수용구에서 $10.7{\pm}2.3$분으로 나타났다. 굴 껍질 관련 기질 사이를 이동한 횟수는 1개체 수용구에서 $1.1{\pm}1.0$회와 5개체 수용구에서 $11.5{\pm}3.1$회로 나타났다. 치어는 1개체 수용구보다는 5개체 수용구에서 굴 껍질 관련 기질 아래 머무는 시간이 유의하게 적고, 또한 움직임이 많은 것으로 나타났다(paired t-test, P<0.05). 은신처 확보를 위한 치열한 경쟁으로 인해 5개체 수용구의 치어가 굴 껍질 관련 기질 아래 머무는 시간이 적고 움직임이 많은 것으로 추측된다.

  • A eight weeks feeding experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of different dietary dimethyl-$\beta$-propiothetin (DMPT) levels on growth and chemical components in red sea bream (Pagrus major). The content of DMPT extracted from Ulva pertusa by auroclaving was 32.5mg%. Body weight gain, feed efficiency and feed intake were significantly increased with dietary DMPT level. After eight weeks of feeding trial, moisture content decreased with supplemented DMPT level, while crude protein and lipid contents increased with dietary DMPT level. Amino acid contents of muscle was elevated in the DMPT added groups compared to control group. Amino acid composition of muscle in fish fed the diets supplemented DMPT was not different to that of control group. Fatty acid contents of muscle in fish increased with dietary DMPT level.

농어 및 볼낙의 색망사에 대한 선택반응 (Selective Response of the Sea Bass and the Gray Rock Cod to the Colored Twines)

  • The selective response of the sea bass, Lateolabrax japonieus and the gray rock cod, Sebastes inermis to the colored twines was studied in a white tiled aquarium C400LX60WX70H em), by use of Y -maze made of gray plastic plate. Anyone of the different colored twines, white, black, blue, yellow and red, was strung crosswise on a rectangular frame which was mounted to one of the two outlet ends of Y -maze, and another colored twine was used to the other end of the Y -maze. In each trial, a fish was guided toward the inlet of the Y -maze to let the fish select either one of the two different colored twines. The results obtained are aS follows: 1. Sea bass preferably selected the colored twines in a order of white, blue, yellow, black and red with significant difference. 2. Gray rock cod showed little difference in selecting colored twines even though the fish selected white one a little more frequently.

팽창식 튜브를 부착한 6m급 스포츠 보트 개발에 관한 연구 (The study on the development of 6m class sports RIB)

  • The 6m class high speed boat is developed with a durable hull and inflatable tube, which is called RIB(Rigid Inflatable Boat), for the purpose of marine leisure. In the stage of the conceptual design, its requirements to be optimized are determined based on the presented information of similar marine leisure RIBs. The 3-D graphical technique using Marine Rhino is utilized to optimize the compartment layout of RIB. The stability analysis is performed for the light and full load conditions with and without the inflatable tube. In addition, the sea keeping and hydrodynamic performance was tested using the proto-type ship in the sea condition. From the results of the computation and the sea trial test, it shows that the performance of the marine leisure RIB satisfies the speed, the convenience, and the stability requirements. This study provides the typical information of the design factors and the procedure to manufacture the marine leisure RIB.

  • 선박소음을 예측하는 과정중에서 고체소음 전달해석은 직접적으로 예측결과의 정도에 영향을 미치고 있다. 이에 대한 계산 방법으로서 경험식이 그 간편성 때문에 자주 사용되고 있지만 자체의 한계성 때문에 이론적 해석방법(Wave guide theory, SEA등)들에 대한 연구가 선박음향학 분야에서 꾸준히 수행되어 왔다. 본 연구에서는 SEA를 이용하여 22개의 plate로 구성된 선체구조의 단순모델을 대상으로 고체소음 전달손실에 대한 이론적 계산 및 실험적 산정을 수행하였다. 계산치와 실험치의 비교결과는 3 dB이내의 좋은 일치를 보여 주었다.

  • 본 논문은 통계적에너지 해석법(SEA)을 이용하여 선박소음해석 프로그램을 개발하는 과정중에 얻어진 연구결과를 소개하였다. 주요 내용은 SEA를 이용한 실선 소음해석 프로그램 NASS의 해석 모듈 개발과 검증, 그리고 선체구조 및 격실에 대한 모델링 기법이 제시되었다. 또한 NASS를 이용하여 실선에 대한 공기음 및 고체음 예측을 수행하였으며 이를 실선 계측값과 비교검토하였다. 비교 결과로부터 모델링 기법 및 방사효율 산정의 문제점을 발견할 수 있었으나, 상부갑판에서는 오차가 5 dB 이내였으며 특히 종래의 경험적인 방법으로서는 불가능했던 밴드별 경향의 일치등 긍정적 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

Comparison of maturation and secondary spawning of fleshy shrimp Penaeus chinensis fed different kinds of diets

  • The study carried out a 15-day feeding trial of the fleshy shrimp broodstock that have just finished their first spawn using five different maturation feed types (three types of manufactured feed, fresh feed, and commercial feed) to induce multiple spawning in the shrimp and then analyzed and compared hemolymph levels of total protein, total lipid, hemocyanin, glucose, and cholesterol as well as ovary histology between the treatments to identify the potential of the experimental diets to be utilized as maturation feed. The study found that the manufactured diets of polychaetes + clam and polychaetes + clam + squid resulted in significantly higher levels of lipid and protein in shrimp hemolymph suggesting an indicator of multiple spawning in the fleshy shrimp. The other manufactured diet of polychaets + squid led to the highest 2nd spawning with significantly lower levels of lipid, protein, and cholesterol in shrimp hemolymph. The fresh feed treatment showed similar hematological as well as histological responses to the manufactured diet of polychaetes + squid, but with a significantly lower spawning volume compared to the other treatments. The study demonstrated that the manufactured diets could replace fresh feed as maturation feed and attain a higher shrimp maturation than the commercial feed.

동일 주파수 성분의 디젤엔진과 프로펠러 기진력 위상차 규명을 이용한 선박 진동 제어 (Ship Vibration Control Utilizing the Phase Difference Identification of Two Excitation Components with the Same Frequency Generated by Diesel Engine and Propeller)

  • A two-stroke diesel engine and a propeller normally adopted in large merchant ships are regarded as major ship vibration sources. They are directly connected and generate various excitation components proportional to the rotating speed of diesel engine. Among the components, the magnitude of two excitation components with the same frequency generated by both engine and propeller can be compensated by the adjustment of their phase difference. It can be done by the optimization of propeller assembly angle but requires a number of burdensome trials to find the optimal angle. In this paper, the efficient estimation method to determine optimal propeller assembly angle is proposed. Its application requires the axial vibration measurement in sea trial and the numerical vibration analysis for propulsion shafting which can be substituted by additional vibration measurement after one-trial modification of propeller assembly angle. In order to verify the validity of the proposed method, the phase difference between two fifth order excitation components generated by both diesel engine and propeller of a real ship is calculated by the finite element analysis and its result is indirectly validated by the comparison of axial vibration responses at intermediate shaft obtained by the numerical analysis and the measurement in sea trial. Finally, it is numerically confirmed that axial vibration response at intermediate shaft at a resonant speed can be decreased more than 87 % if the optimal propeller assembly angle determined by the proposed method is applied.

어린 해삼(Apostichopus japonicus)용 사료 개발을 위한 실험사료의 사육효능 평가 (Evaluation of Experimental Practical Diets for Juvenile Sea Cucumber Apostichopus japonicus)

  • Six experimental diets for juvenile sea cucumbers Apostichopus japonicus were evaluated and compared with current commercial diets. Sea cucumbers (50 per tank; initial mean weight $2.3{\pm}0.1g$) in three replicates of seven groups were fed one of six experimental diets (ED1, 20% wild-harvested Sargassum thunbergii powder; ED2, 20% commercial S. thunbergii powder; ED3, 20% Undaria pinnatifida and Ascophyllum nodosum powders; ED4, 40% U. pinnatifida and A. nodosum powders; ED5, 10% brewer's yeast; and ED6, 10% sea shell powder) or a commercial diet (CD) for 28 weeks. The survival rate in all groups was 85-94%, with no significant difference among the experimental groups. The mean body weight of the sea cucumbers was significantly different among the experimental groups 6 weeks after the feeding trial. The final mean weight of the sea cucumbers was highest in ED1, ED3, and ED4, followed by ED6, ED5, ED2, and CD, in decreasing order. The results of this study suggest that U. pinnatifida and A. nodosum powders could provide a substitute for the S. thunbergii powder commonly used in commercial sea cucumber diets. Thus, the EP4 diet formulation, which contains no S. thunbergii, could be used as a practical feed for juvenile sea cucumbers.

흘수 및 트림 변화를 고려한 선박 유체력 미계수 추정에 관한 연구 (Estimating Hydrodynamic Coefficients with Various Trim and Draught Conditions)

  • 선박의 다양한 흘수 및 트림 조건은 조종성능 추정을 위한 중요한 요소 중 하나이다. 본 논문에서는 세 종류의 흘수 및 트림 조건에서의 해상 시운전 자료를 바탕으로 하여 선체 유체력 미계수를 추정하였다. 시스템 식별법(system identification)의 하나인 수학적 최적화(mathematical optimization method) 및 Rheinmetall Defense사의 선박 운동 모델을 적용한 fast time 시뮬레이션 소프트웨어를 이용하여 시운전 항적데이터 및 관련 시뮬레이션 자료를 이용하여 선체 유체력 미계수를 추정하였다. 최적화 된 계수를 적용한 시뮬레이션 결과는 기존 계수 추정식을 사용한 시뮬레이션 결과와 대비하여 해상 시운전 계측 결과와 유사함을 보여주었으며 추가로 진행된 2차 검증 결과에서도 상대적으로 높은 유사함을 확인하였다.
