Characterization of the scr Gene Cluster Involved! in Sucrose Utilization in Bifidobacterium longum (Bifidobacterium longum의 Sucrose 대사 관련 scr 유전자군의 특성 규명)

  • The nucleotide sequence of 8.6-kb EcoRI fragment containing sucrose phosphorylase gene isolated from Bifidobacterium longum SJ32 was determined. It was found that the fragment contained five open reading frames including the gene cluster for sucrose utilization such as a sucrose phosphorylase (ScrP), a sucrose transporter (ScrT), and a GalR-LacI-type transcriptional regulator (ScrR) identified by amino acid homology. Each gene showed over 94% amino acid homology among various B. longum strains. Genomic organization of the gene cluster is the same as those of other strains of B. longum but different from that of B. lactis. In spite of high homology of each gene among B. longum strains, the difference of flanking sequences of the gene cluster between strains SJ32 and NCC2705 insinuates the horizontal transfer of scrPTR between B. longum strains. The increase of sucrose phosphorylase activity in heterologous E. coli system by the co-expression of scrT with scrP against the single expression of scrP was measured. It seems to be the result of sucrose uptake increment by scrT in the host and is an indirect evidence that scrT is the gene for sucrose transport. The existence of multiple sucrose uptake systems in B. longum is supposed from the findings of several genes besides scrPTR involved in sucrose uptake in the genome of B. longum NCC2705.

  • This paper is the transient analysis for choosing the optimal SCR ratings of AC3 utilization category testing equipment(AC3 TE) used for electrical durability test for magnetic switch according to IEC60947-4 Annex B by utilizing EMTP -ATPDraw. Magnetic contactor closes and opens the motor load with ON/OFF switch of electronic contactor. It is also used for protecting and controlling the load. Magnetic contactor detects the over-current flow in the load with a over-current relay and disconnects the load by opening its control power. The key cost of AC3 TE is the SCR ratings. The more decreases SCR ratings, the more decreased the cost is, but it is impossible to ensure the reliability. On the other hand, the more increases SCR ratings, the more increased the cost is. Thereupon, in this paper after the testing circuit is simulated by using EMTP-ATPDraw the SCR ratings will be applied in order to guarantee the testing reliability of PT&T(Power Testing and Technology institute in LG Industrial Systems Co.,Ltd.).

Analysis of SCR, MVSCR, LVTSCR With I-V Characteristic and Turn-On-Time (SCR, MVSCR, LVTSCR의 Turn-on time 및 전기적 특성에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we analysed the properties of the conventional ESD protection devices such as SCR, MVSCR, LVTSCR. The electrical characteristics and the turn-on time properties are simulated by Synopsys T-CAD simulator. As the results, the devices have the holding voltages between 2V and 3V, and the trigger voltage of about 20V with SCR, of about 12V with MVSCR, of about 9V with LVTSCR. The results of the simulation for the turn-on time properties are 2.8ns of SCR, 2.2ns of MVSCR, 2.0ns of LVTSCR. Thus, we prove that LVTSCR has the shortest turn-on time. However, the second breakdown currents(It2) of the devices are 7.7A of SCR, 5.5A of MVSCR, 4A of LVTSCR. This different properties have to be adapted by the operation voltages for I/O Clamps.

  • In this paper, This paper is based on the conventional ESD protection circuits SCR and LVTSCR. Also, the SCR-based ESD protection circuit, which is different from the conventional structure, is presented and tested for variations in the trigger voltage and holding voltage. Due to the insertion of additional N +, P + regions, the newly added SCR-based protection circuit have improved electrical characteristics. To discuss the electrical characteristics of the proposed circuit, Synopsys T-CAD simulation data was shown.

SNCR/SCR Combined 시스템을 이용한 DeNOx 연구

  • SNCR 기술을 이용한 NOx 저감은 반응온도 850~$1100^{\circ}C$에서 효과적이였으며, 몰비($NH_3$/NOx), $O_2$ 농도에 상당히 영향을 받고 있었다. 최적온도 $950^{\circ}C$, 몰비 1.5에서 약65%의 NOx 제거효율을 얻을 수 있으며, 온도구배가 없고 $O_2$ 농도가 2~4%로 낮아질 경우 더 높은 제거효율이 기대된다. SCR 기술에 의한 NOx 저감을 위해 $V_3$$O_{5}$/-$WO_3$/$TiO_2$ 상용촉매를 사용하였으며, 반응 온도는 200~$500^{\circ}C$ 범위로 확인되었으며, 약 84%의 NOx 제거효율이 몰비 1.5 에서 얻어졌다. $O_2$ 농도가 21%로 높아짐에 따라 상당히 효율이 떨어짐이 밝혀졌다. SNCR/SCR combined 시스템은 몰비=2.0, $T_{SNCR}$/=$850^{\circ}C$, $T_{SCR}$ /=$350^{\circ}C$ 반응조건에서는 약 93%의 NOx 저감효율을 보여주어 SNCR, SCR 단위기술보다 더 효과적이었다.

Application of SNCR/SCR Combined process for effective operation of SCR Process

  • This paper have examined the optimum combination of SNCR and SCR by varying SNCR injection temperature and NSR ratio along with SCR space velocity. NOx reduction experiments using a SNCR/SCR combined process have been conducted in simple NO/NH$_3$/O$_2$ gas mixtures. Total gas flow rate was kept constant 4 liter/min throughout the SNCR and SCR reactors, where initial NOx concentration was 500 ppm in the presence of 5% O$_2$. Commercial catalyst, sulfated V$_2$O$\_$5/-WO$_3$/TiO$_2$, was used for SCR NOx reduction. The residence time and space velocity were around 1.67 sec, 2,400 h$\^$-1/ and 6,000 h$\^$-1/ in the SNCR and SCR reactors, respectively. SNCR NOx reduction effectively occurred in a temperature window of 900-950$^{\circ}C$. About 88% NOx reduction was achieved with an optimum temperature of 950$^{\circ}C$ and NSR=1.5. SCR NOx reduction using commercial V$_2$O$\_$5/-WO$_3$-SO$_4$/TiO$_2$ catalyst occurred in a temperature window of 200-450$^{\circ}C$ 80-98% NOxreduction was possible with SV=2400 h$\^$-1/ and a molar ratio of 1.0-2.0. A SNCR/SCR(SV=6000 h$\^$-1/) combined process has shown same NOx reduction compared with a stand-alone SCR(SV=2400 h$\^$-1/) unit process of 98% NOx reduction. The NH$_3$-based chemical could routinely achieve SNCR/SCR combined process total NOx reductions of 98% with less than 5 ppm NH$_3$ slip at NSR ranging from about 1.5 to 2.0, SNCR temperature of 900$^{\circ}C$-950$^{\circ}C$, and SCR space velocity of 6000 h$\^$-1/. Particularly, more than 98% NOx reduction was possible using the combined process under the conditions of T$\_$SNCR/=950$^{\circ}C$, T$\_$SCR/=350$^{\circ}C$, 5% O$_2$, SV=6000 h$\^$-1/ and NH$_3$/NOx=1.5. A catalyst volume was about three times reduced by SNCR/SCR combined process compared with SCR process under the same controlled conditions.

  • In new millennium, wide-reaching demands for selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst have been increased gradually in new millennium. SCR catalyst can prevent the NOx emission to protect the environment. In SCR catalyst the main composition of the catalyst is typically TiO2 (70~80%), WO3 (7~10%), V2O5 (~1%) and others. When the SCR catalysts are used up and disposed to landfills, it is problematic that those should exist in the landfill site permanently due to their extremely low degradability. A new advanced technology needs to be developed primarily to protect environment and then recover the valuable metals. Hydrometallurgical techniques such as leaching and liquid-liquid extraction was designed and developed for the spent SCR catalyst processing. In a first stage, V and W selectively leached from spent SCR catalyst, then both the metals were processed by liquid-liquid extraction process. Various commercial extractants such as D2EHPA, PC 88A, TBP, Cyanex 272, Aliquat 336 were tested for selective extraction of title metals. Scrubbing and stripping studies were tested and optimized for vanadium and tungsten extraction and possible separation. 3rd phase studies were optimized by using iso-decanol reagent.

  • Since the optimization of the diesel engine for the ship cannot satisfy the NOx emission limit by the method of reducing the NOx emission, it is necessary to reduce the NOx by post-processing the exhaust gas. In this study, we will review the feasibility of designing a binary nozzle and mixing chamber duct for effectively converting the number of elements into NH3 in the oil burner for the SCR catalyst unit integrated duct in the ship under development through the computational heat flow analysis for the velocity distribution and temperature distribution.

CLASSIFICATION OF TWISTED PRODUCT LIGHTLIKE SUBMANIFOLDS

  • In this paper, we introduce the idea of twisted product lightlike submanifolds of semi-Riemannian manifolds and provide non-trivial examples of such lightlike submanifolds. Then, we prove the non-existence of proper isotropic or totally lightlike twisted product submanifolds of a semi-Riemannian manifold. We also show that for a twisted product lightlike submanifold of a semi-Riemannian manifold, the induced connection ∇ is not a metric connection. Further, we prove that a totally umbilical SCR-lightlike submanifold of an indefinite Kaehler manifold ${\tilde{M}}$ does not admit any twisted product SCR-lightlike submanifold of the type M×ϕMT, where M is a totally real submanifold and MT is a holomorphic submanifold of ${\tilde{M}}$. Consequently, we obtain a geometric inequality for the second fundamental form of twisted product SCR-lightlike submanifolds of the type MT×ϕM of an indefinite Kaehler manifold ${\tilde{M}}$, in terms of the gradient of ln ϕ, where ϕ stands for the twisting function. Subsequently, the equality case of this inequality is discussed. Finally, we construct a non-trivial example of a twisted product SCR-lightlike submanifold in an indefinite Kaehler manifold.

A Study on a New ESD Protection Circuit with Parasitic PNP BJT Insertion Type with High Robustness Characteristics Based on SCR (SCR 기반 고감내 특성을 갖는 기생 PNP BJT 삽입형 새로운 ESD 보호회로에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we propose a new PNP bipolar insertion type ESD protection circuit with improved electrical characteristics than the existing ESD protection circuits SCR and LVTSCR. The proposed circuit has 8.59V trigger voltage which is about 9V lower than that of the conventional SCR, and the parasitic PNP has one more operation and high robustness characteristics. For the practical design of the proposed ESD protection circuit, the holding voltage was increased by increasing the base length of the parasitic PNP while increasing the variable L. To verify the electrical characteristics of the proposed device, Synopsys T-CAD simulator was used.
