공과대학의 공학윤리 교육과정 운영 실태 조사 (The Actual State of Engineering Ethics Curriculum)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 현재 4년제 공과대학에서 실시하고 있는 공학윤리 교육과정 운영 실태를 조사하는데 있다. 이를 위해 관련 문헌 분석, 설문조사 등의 방법으로 연구를 수행하였다. 설문 조사는 2004년 현재 공학교육 인증을 받았거나 신청한 14개의 대학에 개설된 공학 소양 과목 중에서, 강의의 전체 또는 일부로 공학윤리 교육을 실시하고 있는 강의 담당자 31명을 대상으로 실시하였다. 공학윤리 교육은 EAC(Ethics Across the Curriculum)의 형태로 도입되고 있으며, 수강생의 수가 다소 많으며, 복수의 담당자가 지정되지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 교육 목표에 있어서는 윤리학적인 이론보다는 공학적 상황에 초점을 맞추고 있는 것으로 조사되었으며, 교육 내용도 전반적으로 고르게 도입되고 있는 것으로 나타났으나 내용에 있어서 이론적인 면이 많은 것으로 나타났다. 교육 방법에 있어서는 강의식 수업이 주로 사용되며, 평가에 있어서는 대부분의 평가가 필기고사를 통하여 이루어지고 있으며, 수업 및 토론 참여, 발표 등의 비율은 낮게 조사되었다.

  • 정보통신 기술의 발달과 컴퓨터 보급의 확대 등으로 가정과 학교에서 학생들이 인터넷을 접할 기회가 많아졌다. 인터넷의 이용은 교육적 활용에 따라 많은 가치를 지니고 있는 반면 불건전 정보의 유통, 게임 통신 중독, 정보의 오 남용 등의 정보화의 역기능 또한 가지고 있다. 최근 사이버 공간에서의 역기능에서 학생을 보호할 수 있는 정보통신윤리교육에 대한 연구들이 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 학생의 올바른 정보통신윤리교육을 위해 학생, 교사, 학부모를 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하고, 관련연구와 설문결과를 바탕으로 학생을 대상으로 한 정보통신윤리교육의 체계적인 교육 내용과 방법을 제시하였다.

치위생(학)과 학생을 위한 치위생윤리 교과목 콘텐츠 개발에 대한 연구 (Development of contents for dental hygiene ethics subjects for dental hygiene students)

  • Background: This study aimed to create and present content that can be used in the dental hygiene ethics process to help dental hygiene students develop desirable work ethics and ethical values. Methods: In order to operate the dental hygiene ethics course in all academic systems, one three-year dental hygiene professor and one four-year dental hygiene professor participated in setting core competencies and learning goals for the dental hygiene ethics course. The class consisted of two credits, two hours of theoretical classes, and class activity sheets developed according to the learning contents and learning topics for each week that can be operated for 15 weeks. Results: The contents of the dental hygiene ethics subject were developed to be conducted as theoretical education and case-oriented discussion classes. The 15-week class consisted of a theory lecture on dental hygiene work ethics (eight weeks), discussions and presentations for ethical decisions based on actual cases related to dental hygiene ethics (four weeks), and the design and presentation of individual professional mission statements and codes of conduct (three weeks). The class data for each week consisted of four stages: "Learning goal-thinking," "open-thinking," "learning content-thinking," and "according to learning goal." Conclusions: In order to establish desirable workplace ethics and ethical values for dental hygiene students, it is necessary to approach education in a way that values understanding and application of dental hygiene practices, legal and ethical standards, ethical decision-making models, and ethical principles.

간호대학생의 생명의료윤리와 간호윤리의 관계 (The Relationships between the Perception of Biomedical Ethics and Nursing Ethics in Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: This study identifies the relationships between the perception of nursing ethics and biomedical ethics in Korean nursing students. Methods: A total of 311 participants with a mean of 20.93 years were recruited using a convenient sampling method. Data were collected using a self-reported questionnaire from May 2 to May 16, 2016. Results: Biomedical ethics were significantly different according to education of ethics. Nursing ethics among nursing students were significantly different according to gender and a view of the occupation. Positive correlations were found between the perception of biomedical ethics and nursing ethics. The perception of biomedical ethics was a significant predictor of nursing ethics with an explanatory power of 16.0% of the variance. Conclusion: The findings of this study may provide a basic data to understand the biomedical ethics among Korean nursing students.

A Study on Ethics Status of Domestic and Foreign Researchers And Finding Solutions to Unfair Authors

  • The aims of this study were to examine the causes and types of the most common and serious fraudulent authors among research misconduct, and to examine ways to reduce the mass production of unjust authors. In scientific research, it is universal and efficient to have multiple authors participate. This is because each author group consisting of a team has its own expertise, and most of them participate in research in a complementary way to maximize the research effect. However, the competition for achievements between researchers, the quantitative evaluation system of universities, and the social atmosphere of performance-oriented are tempting researchers to abandon research ethics. In this study, in relation to the research ethics of existing researchers, the contents of research ethics by a few countries such as United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, Australia etc. and the situation in Korea was examined as well. In addition, the types and causes of domestic unfair authors in Korea were investigated intensively. In conclusion, in order to no longer produce unfair authors such as compulsory authors, honorary authors, mutually supported authors, and duplicate authors, which researchers unknowingly recognize as co-authors, reinforcement of research ethics education and national organization and system should be supported.

초등학생을 위한 정보윤리 및 창작도구 교육과정 모델 개발 (A Development of Curriculum Model on Information Ethics and Creation Tools for Elementary School Students)

  • 2015 소프트웨어 교육 운영지침의 기본 방향은 ICT 교육의 관점을 확장하여 학습자들이 문제를 해결하는 역량을 기르는 것으로 한다. 그러나 정작 이 지침에는 ICT 교육 내용이 포함되어있지 않다. 본 연구는 컴퓨터 활용교육을 위한 초등학교 정보윤리와 창작도구의 교육과정 모델을 개발하는 연구이다. 세계 여러 나라의 컴퓨터 교육과정에서 정보윤리와 창작도구 관련 교육과정을 조사하고 우리나라에 적절한 교육과정을 제안한다. 연구 결과로 초등학교 현장에서 바로 적용이 가능한 정보윤리와 창작도구에 대한 내용체계와 성취기준을 수준별 7단계로 제안한다.

간호사의 윤리적 의사결정을 위한 간호윤리교육 효과의 지속성에 관한 연구 (A study on the persistence of nursing ethics education for nurses' ethical decision making)

  • Purpose : To determine the change of effects of nursing ethics education on the nurses' ethical decision making with the time relapse of one month, three months and six months. Method : Thirteen participated in free discussion group, and fourteen participated in expert-guided discussion group for five weeks. Two weeks before the education, DIT and JAND were assessed, and JAND was assessed again on month, three months and six months after the five weeks' education program. Results : 1) Average realistic scores of JAND did not showed significant differences as times went by. However, scores were highest at three months after the education in general. 2) In both of free discussion and expert-guided discussion group, JAND score increased after the education, and highest at three months in general. 3) Low level moral development group showed highest scores at one month after the education, and declined at three month. However, in middle and high level of moral development groups, scores were higher at three months than at one month after the education. Scores were declined again at six months after the education. Conclusion : Effects of moral education program were highest at three months after the education, and were lessened as times went by. Especially for the low moral development group, effect was not continued more than one month. Therefore, more persistent, periodic education program was required until the ability of ethical decision making is settled down.

공학교육과 과학기술학(STS)의 학제적 협력 방안 탐색 (Interdisciplinary Cooperation between Engineering Education and Science and Technology Studies (STS))

  • This study reviews recently developed perspectives within Science and Technology Studies (STS) and engineering education including engineering ethics and engineering design, focusing on defining why interdisciplinary collaboration between those two areas is required and how it can be realized. The disconnection between those areas is closely related to the chronic diseases that has brought the mono-disciplinary, segmented educational system of 20th century: fragmented perception of reality and gradual loss of academic influence. This study consists of two sections: the first section reviews new movements among STS, engineering ethics and engineering design; the second section analyses how their combination is developing and what significance it represents. Recently, some scholars attach more importance to scalable scholarship of STS, that is, strategic expansion of the range of STS. This kind of attempts is gradually producing satisfactory results as it is combined with innovative efforts arising from the field of engineering education. This study emphasizes that, when STS and engineering education are combined and interact more with each other, it will broaden our prospects about engineering and society; it will, particularly, contribute to enhance our engineering education.

위험의 유형에 따른 위험관리의 전략과 전문성의 확장에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Strategies for Risk Management and the Extension of Expertise Considering the Types of Risk)

  • 이 논문에서는 과학기술학의 연구성과를 활용하여 공학윤리의 주요 주제인 위험에 대한 체계적인 접근을 시도하였다. 위험의 유형은 불확실성의 정도에 따라 기술적 차원의 위험, 방법론적 차원의 위험, 인식론적 차원의 위험으로 구분할 수 있고, 각 유형에 대한 위험관리의 전략으로는 응용과학 전략, 전문가자문 전략, 탈정상과학 전략을 들 수 있으며, 해당 전략에 요구되는 전문성은 기술관료적 전문성, 상호소통적 전문성, 민주적 전문성으로 개념화할 수 있다. 이러한 논의는 위험에 대한 공학윤리교육을 보완하고 확장하는 데 기여할 수 있으며, 공학교육 전반에서 요구되는 교육목표와도 연관될 수 있다.
