The purpose of this study is to further develop the strategies using science magic and investigate the their effects of the instruction on the student's attitude toward science. To do this, a main idea was selected and stages for science teaching methods were developed. Two classes of the 4th grade were selected and instructed. After implementing and using the teaching method, a test and survey were administered to examine the perception of the students and the learning effects of the new science teaching. The results of this study were as follows. First, the strategy for using science magic was developed and applied. For learners, doing science magic was more effective on their own in terms of boosting student's understanding and interest. Also the teacher's modeling was better in terms of presenting the contents. Second, the students' reaction and perception on using the science magic in classes were positive. In the classroom setting, science magic helped the learners understand better and made the learning environment fun. Third, instruction using science magic had a positive effect on student's attitude toward science. Students felt curiosity about science magic. It made them participate better in studying the activity as well. In conclusion, instruction using science magic can be applied to science to education, and the attitudes toward science and learning achievements can be improved.

The purpose of this study was to see the influences of science class applying learning cycle emphasized exploration on science learning motivation and scientific attitude of elementary students. The results drawn from this analysis were as below. Firstly, positive relationship was found between science learning motivation and science class applying learning cycle emphasized exploration among the research group. This shows that science learning motivation was improved by science class applying learning cycle emphasized exploration. It indicates that science class applying learning cycle emphasized exploration is effective in improving science learning motivations. Secondly, positive relationship was found between scientific attitude and science class applying learning cycle emphasized exploration among the research group and this means that science class applying learning cycle that emphasizes exploration stimulates intellectual curiosity of elementary school students and improves their scientific attitude. Thirdly, students thought that science class applying learning cycle emphasized exploration was very effective to improve their satisfaction, interest, participation in their science classes. Above results show that science class applying learning cycle emphasized exploration is highly effective for elementary students. Thus, it is needed to utilize science class applying learning cycle emphasized exploration to current science class as it can promote wider scientific activities among elementary school students.
Objectives: The purpose of this study is to investigate the Sasang Constitution character strength of university students. Methods: One hundred fifty students of Woosuk University participated in this study. Their majors were Korean medicine, nursing science, and pharmacy. Their Sasang Constitutional types were determined using the results of a Two Step Questionnaire for Sasang Constitution Diagnosis (TS-QSCD). The subjects were also tested by a Characteristic Strength Test (CST). The Character Strength test scores were compared to the different Sasang Constitutions using analysis of variances (ANOVA). Also, the five Signature Strengths presented to the subjects were measured as a percentage within Sasang Constitution Groups, and compared to the different Sasang Constitutions. Results and Conclusions: 1. In CST score: Soyangin were significantly higher than Taeeumin in creativity, curiosity, love, social intelligence, vitality, leadership, appreciation of beauty and excellence, and humor. Also, Soyangin was significantly higher than Soeumin in wisdom, kindness, bravery, and authenticity. 2. In CST score: Taeeumin were significantly higher than Soyangin in modesty. Taeeumin and Soeumin were significantly higher than Soyangin in prudence. 3. In the five signature strength analysis: Extrovert character strengths such as curiosity, vitality, social intelligence, bravery, and leadership, were higher in Soyangin. On the other hand, Introvert character strengths such as modesty, prudence, and self-regulation, were higher in Taeeumin and Soeumin. 4. In the five signature strength analysis: The signature strengths of Soyangin and Soeumin indicated a biased distribution. The signature strengths of Taeeumin indicated an even distribution.

The hottest news and achievements of space science and research in recent years may be NASA Curiosity rover's exploration (2013) of Mars, China Chang'e 3's exploration (2013) of Moon, ESA Rosetta's exploration (2014) of Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko, and NASA New Horizons' exploration (2015) of Pluto, which are very astonishing achievement since such a deep space journey was possible with current technology. In contrast the wonderful cruise and navigation technologies evolution of explorer in deep space, there are no remarkable changes in deep space data communication, it is still in conservative area, of which much changes are reluctantly accepted so far. But there are some movements of deep space exploration in order to allow ground brilliant technologies to deep space. One of those experiments is internet, whose main topic of this paper. In this paper, we will present the analysis of effectiveness of solar system internet to deep space exploration.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a brain-based science teaching and learning model on the science related attitudes, scientific inquiry skills and science knowledge of the 2nd graders in Intelligent Life course. For this study, 117 elementary students from four classes of the 2nd grade in Seoul were selected. In the comparison group, traditional instruction was implemented and in the experimental group, instruction according to brain-based science teaching and learning model was implemented for four weeks. The results of this study were as follows : There were little differences between the comparison and experimental groups in terms of the science related attitudes except for the sub-domains of interest and curiosity. And brain-based science teaching and learning model programs improved a few scientific inquiry skills, especially observation and classification. In addition, the experimental groups showed a positive effect on science knowledge. In conclusion, brain-based science teaching and learning model programs were more effective in improvement of the science related attitudes, scientific inquiry skills and science knowledge of elementary students.

In this study, the images of science education illustrated in the books written by six major modern philosophers of science (K. R. Popper, N. R. Hanson, T. S. Kuhn, I. Lakatos, P. Feyerabend and J. Ziman) were investigated. In this article, the parts, from the books investigated, which have direct relevance to science education are quoted and the discussions by the researchers on them are added. Particularly, the learning by trial and error (of Popper), the role of context in scientific thinking (of Hanson), science education through the history of science (of Lakatos), science education appreciating individualities and voluntary curiosity (of Feyerabend) and the social aspect of science as a source of its rationality (of Ziman) appear to be the main points which have direct relevances and meaningful implications to science education but which have not been considered or discussed in detail in science education.
In this study, we investigated the effects of explicit instruction about nature of science by elementary school students' cognitive level. Participants were six classes, 187 sixth graders at elementary schools in Daegu. Three classes were assigned to control groups and the other classes to treatment groups. Control groups were provided normal instructions and treatment groups were provided instructions integrated with nature of science about chapter 'electromagnet' for 9 class periods. The results of this study were as follow. Both low-cognitive level students and high-cognitive level students in the treatment groups are improved in understanding about nature of science by the explicit instructions about nature of science. Especially, the high-cognitive level students had more improvement than the low-cognitive level students in understanding about nature of science by the explicit instructions about nature of science. There were no significant differences between the test scores of the two groups in the science interest sub-domain of the science-related affective domain. But, there were significant differences between the test scores of the two groups in curiosity and open-mindedness of the scientific attitudes sub-domain of the science-related affective domain.
