이혼가정의 경제상태 및 양육행동이 자녀의 사회적 적응에 미치는 영향 - 양육부/모의 차이를 중심으로 - (The Effects of Economic Condition and the Parenting on Children's Social Adjustment in Divorced Families - A Comparison of Custodial Fathers and Mothers -)

  • The purposes of this study are to examine the economic conditions and parenting of custodial fathers/mothers and to explain their impacts on the children's social adjustment after divorce. A total of 185 custodial parents divorced within the last 5 years completed a structured questionnaire. Children's social adjustment was the dependent variable in this study and was defined as their school performance and behavior problems. Results show that compared with divorced custodial fathers, divorced custodial mothers demonstrate more effective parenting, but there were no differences in economic conditions between them. In addition, children in single-father divorced families have lower school grades and more behavior problems than those in single-mother divorced families. Results also indicate that the economic conditions and parenting have different effects for children across family type. For children raised with a custodial father in divorced families, the economic conditions and the divorce duration are associated with lower school grades and behavior problems. For children with a custodial mother, however, the effective of parenting and the children's age have significant effects on the children's social adjustment after the parent divorced. Based on these results, this study proposes strategies for the improvement of children's adjustment in divorced families.

3차원 스캔 데이터에 의한 초등학생의 발 성장에 관한 연구 (A Study of Elementary School Students' Feet Growth by 3D Scan Data)

  • This study was about to investigate the characteristics of elementary school students' feet growth, comparing and analyzed the measured values and the index values of 3D scan data. As the results from analyzing the measured values, the all measurement items excluding 'Toe 5 angle' showed some significant differences among the age classes, knowing that the elementary school students' feet were continually grown. Although, the items of length, thickness, width, height and circumference indicate some rapid growth of feet at 11 years old, but it appears slowing growth of 'Foot width' after the age of 11 years old. The angle item didn't show any sequential differences according to ages. As the results from analyzing the index values, the children in higher grades have longer 'Toe 5', thicker ankles, wider and thicker the superior part of feet than the children in lower grades. For the superior and the middle part of feet were lowly raised, their Arch height was low and thick. The inferior part of feet showed narrow width and higher height. Giving that the Medial ball width was wide and the Toe 1 angle is high for the children in higher grades, it is expected that the Metatarsophalangeal I might be more projected than that of children in lower grades. Likewise, knowing that the male students' feet shape was bigger than female students' feet from the result that the male students' index values were higher.

[ $Entr{\acute{e}}e$ ] Popularity Affects Nutrient Intake among School-Aged Children Eating School Breakfasts

  • The purposes of this study were to investigate the effects of the popularity of menu items in nutrient consumption of school-aged children participating in a School Breakfast Program. The weighed plate waste method was used to determine the nutrient intake of students. The nutrient intake was evaluated based on the popularity of the menu item, gender, and grades. The average intakes of all nutrients except energy, fiber, and sodium were well within the goals. Actual nutrient intake varied based upon the popularity of $entr{\acute{e}}es$ and the popularity of menu items was a main effect in nutrient content of meals. When the most popular $entr{\acute{e}}es$ were served, school-aged children's energy intake and School Breakfast Program participation rate increased. Saturated fat and sodium intakes also were higher than the goal when the most popular $entr{\acute{e}}es$ were served. The significant main effect was grades for total fat (p < 0.05) and calcium (p < 0.05), which was qualified by the two-way interaction between gender and grades for saturated fat (p < 0.05), protein (p<0.1), iron (p<0.01), vitamin C (p<0.01) and carbohydrates (p<0.001). Gender itself was not a significant main effect. Based on the findings, the suggestions for educating school-aged children on more healthful breakfast food choices and reformulating recipes for the popular $entr{\acute{e}}es$ are made. 급식학교 어린이의 식생활에 대한 고찰 (A Study on Dietary Pattern of Children in Pusan Area)

  • This study was disigned to observe the pattern of food preference, desire, and intake frequency of children in Pusan area to establish basic data for school lunch program. The children in a public school with school lunch program in Pusan area, were asked the food preference, desire, and intake frequency of the 30 food items given on questinnarie. The subjects also recorded the food intake for 3 days with the mother's help. The results of this study are summarized as follows. 1) The total numbers of items taken per day per children were increased with advancing grades. The numbers were 27, 33 and food items for 2nd, 4th and 6th grade respectively. 2) The degree of preference, desire and intake frequency were also increased with higher grades for most given foods except cakes, seaweeds and beans. 3) Boys showed the higher intake frequency than girls for most food items. The girls, however, showed higher preference for cakes and cookies than boys. 4) There was a significant positive correlation between food preference and desire, however, a significant correlation was not found between preference and intake frequency, and between intake frequency and desire.

Infection rates of Enterobius vermicularis and Clonorchis sinensis of primary school children in Hamyang-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do (Province), Korea

  • The egg Positive rate of Enterobius vermicularis and Clonorchis sinensis of school children in the rural area was studied in Hamyang-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do in Korea. Cellotape anal swab and formalin ether concentration methods were performed one time to 720 Primary school children. The total egg Positive rate of E. vermicularis was 12.6% in two schools (Baekjeon and Wiseong). In the Baekjeon and Wiseong primary school, the egg Positive rate of E. vermicularis was 4.6% and 13.4%, respectively Pinworm egg Positive rate was 17.6% in the lower grades (1st, 2nd and 3rd), and 7.7% in higher grades (4th, 5th and 6th). The total egg Positive rate of male and female was 12.6% and 12.7%, respectively. The egg Positive rate of C. sinensis of Baekjeon and Wiseong Primary school was 1.5% and 0.46%, respectively The total e99 Positive rate of C. sinesis was 0.56%. This survey showed that continuous education and chemotherapy is necessary to treat and prevent reinfection of E. vermicularis. In the case of C. sinensis, health education for school children is recommended to prevent potential infection of adolescents.

우리나라 일부 초등학생의 지방산 섭취양상과 혈청 지방산 및 Selenium 수준에 관한 연구 (Fatty Acid Intake, Serum Fatty acid Composition and Serum Se Concentration of Elementary School Children in Korea)

  • The purposes of this study were to 1) examine the dietary patterns of fatty acids and the fatty acid composition in serum, 2) determine selenium (Se) concentrations, and 3) investigate how serum fatty acid compositon affects serum levels of Se in Korean elementary school children. The subjects consisted of 168 school children(82 boys & 86 girls) belonging to 1st through 6th grades, and their dietary assessment was evaluated. The serum fatty acid composition was analyzed by GLC, and the ICP/MS method was employed to measure serum Se concentration. Total average intake of PUFA, MUFA and SFA were 10.5g, 12.7g, 11.2g respectively. Total average dietary P/M/S ratio was 1.10/1.18/1.0. The average intake of $\omega$3 fatty acids and $\omega$6 fatty acids were 1.33g, 9.19g, respectively. The $\omega$6/$\omega$3ratio was 14.2 which is higher than the recommended range. In serum fatty acid composition, PUFA, MUFA, SFA were 40.6%, 28.1% and 31.6% respectively. The average $\omega$3 fatty acid composition was 3.80%, and the mean value of $\omega$6 series was 36.8%. The M/S ratio of girls was significantly higher than boy's in fatty acids intake and in serum composition. Mean Se concentration of total subjects was 416.7ug/l and it was significantly higher in the lower grades(1st-3rd)than in the upper grades(4th~6th, p<0.05). Although the mean serum Se concentration was negatively correlated with PUFA composition in total boys and girls, it was not significant. Serum Se concentration was negatively correlated with P/S ratio and C24:1 concentration(p<0.05). In addition, serum composition of $\omega$6 PUFA and C24:1 showed negative correlations with serum Se in only lower grades girl(1st~3rd), and further studies are needed to clarify in these phenomena. In conclusion, the mean serum Se concentration was significantly lower in upper grades (4th~6th)than in lower grades(1st~3rd) of elementary school children and was negatively correlated with P/S ratio of serum fatty acids. More detailed studies on relationship between Se and fatty acids are required.

자아강도와 학교 적응이 학령기 아동의 생활만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Ego Strength and School Adjustment on the Life Satisfaction of School-Aged Children)

  • This study was conducted in order to model the relationship between children's ego strength and their school adjustment and life satisfaction levels. For this purpose, 4,765 4th-6th grade elementary school children were surveyed by means of a questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed by means of structural equation modeling. The results of this study may be summarized as follows. First, in all the grades, a significant and positive correlation was observed between the children's ego strength and their school adjustment and life satisfaction levels. Second, ego strength was found to be a variable that had a significant effect on life satisfaction indirectly through the medium of school adjustment. Third, the relation model between the variables differed according to grade. That is, the direct effect of ego strength on life satisfaction was stronger in the high grades, and the level of school relationship adjustment was found to have a significant effect on family relationship satisfaction as a factor of life satisfaction in 4th graders, whereas it did not in the case of 5th and 6th graders.

가정환경과 아동의 역량에 대한 자기지각 (Home Environment and Children's Self-Perceived Competence)

  • The present study investigated childrens' self-perceived competence as related to(1) home environment variables (2) school grades and sexes of children. The subjects were 297 fourth-and sixth grade-children selected from two elementary schools on Seoul. The instruments were a children's self-perceived competence scala and the HOME scale. Frequences, correlation, two way-ANONA and multiple regression were used for data analysis. There were correlations between home environment variables and children's self-perceive competence partially. Fourth grade children perceived themselves higher than sixth grade children in global self-worth. Boys perceived themselves higher than girls in physical competence. The variables that influence on children's self-perceived competence very with their grades and sexes.

초등학교 저학년 자녀에 대한 어머니의 교육투자행동 (Education Investment Behavior of Mothers about Children of the Lower Greades in Primary School)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate investment behavior of mothers who have children of the lower grades in primary school and the effects of the variables. The subjects of this study were 454 mothers who have children of lower grades in primary school in Seoul. Statistics used for data analysis were frequency, mean, percentage, multiple regression. The households which paid their money for private education investment cost was 182.543 won a month and the mean of time use of mother for child education was 125 minutes a day. The most influencing variable on money investment to private education investment behavior was family income and on time investment to it was influence of reference group.

지역아동센터 이용 초등학교 고학년 학생의 스마트폰 중독 영향요인 (Factors Affecting Smartphone Addiction in High Grades of Elementary School using Local Children's Centers)

  • 본 연구는 초등학교 고학년 학생의 스마트폰 중독과 그 영향요인을 파악하기 위한 서술적 조사 연구이다. 연구대상은 C시에 소재하는 31개 지역아동센터의 초등학교 4, 5, 6학년 294명이었다. 자료수집은 2019년 5월 13일부터 2019년 6월 10일까지 이루어졌으며, 자료분석은 SPSS Win 23.0 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도분석, 𝑥2-test, 로지스틱회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 중독위험군이 16%, 일반군이 84.0%로 나타났다. 스마트폰 중독에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 평일 스마트폰 사용 시간(95% CI:1.263~827.849, p=.036), 스마트폰 주요 사용 시간대(95% CI:1.028~29.574, p=.046)로 나타났다. 따라서 초등학교 고학년 학생의 스마트폰 중독을 예방하기 위해서는 스마트폰 사용 시간 및 사용 시간대를 파악하여 예방교육이나 간호중재 프로그램을 개발할 필요가 있다.
