충남(忠甫) "A" 고등학교(高等學校) 시설(施設)의 사용자(使用者) 평가(評價)를 통한 개선요소(改善要素)에 관한 사례연구(事例硏究) (A Case Study on the Improvement Factors of the "A" High School Facility in Chung Nam Province Through the User's Evaluation)

  • This study investigates the results of planning high school facility in accordance with the scope of the 7th educational curriculum by employing user satisfaction methodology. A high school in On-Yang, built recently to fulfill the objective of the curriculum was investigated in detail. Structured interview survey on both students and teachers were done while observation of the entire facility was carried out at the same time. Based on analysis of the interview and the observation, questions were developed, and subsequently questionnaire surveys, focused on how satisfied the students were regarding the school facility and what improvements could be made, were completed. The findings suggest that the degree of variation in planning class room should be employed considerably, as well as the efficiency of route among the facility blocks. Aspects of the other planning factors such as storey height, location of doors and windows, and equipments regarding the purpose of class room are additionally discussed.

  • Reports on population movement(2000-2030) by the National Statistical Office show that the number of elementary school age population will be decreased by 1.4million from 2005 to 2020. It will effect both school size and the policies for school facilities, which have focused on downsizing class as the high standard of OECD nations. As the unfolding evidence is emerging that a number of schools and classes will be emptied out by 2030. This study aims at developing a model for evaluating the validity of school establishment, which would help more reasonable decision-making for new school construction and the class extension in the existing schools. It classifies two different ways in founding a new school - school establishment in a residential developing site and school establishment for solving a overcrowd class. It proposes the assesment items and the methods for evaluating its validity. In the end, it suggests an assesment model which the district educational offices can use in the course of planning the student accomodations to schools and making decisions for new school construction and the class extension in the existing schools. This study would be expected to help the reasonable expenditure for school facilities and to restrict overbuilding of surplus classes.

  • Entering the 21st century, countries throughout the world are turning the direction of their education to be consumer-oriented and reinforcing lifelong education in preparation for the rapid advance of science and technology and the globalization, opening and informatization of the world. With the reinforcement of consumer-oriented education and lifelong education, the role of school is emphasized as a ground for lifelong education in community and efforts are being made to use schools and community facilities compositely so that schools may play the role of central facilities in community. Accordingly, the objective of this study is to analyze the relation between lifelong education and school facilities in the educational aspect, and to suggest a basic architectural direction so that schools may play central roles for social, cultural, educational, welfare, and sport activities in community.

  • Past, teacher's facilities space of school arranges the desk by teacher's number and businesslike function a teacher's room and night-duty room, supplementary rest space, of considered 1 room from everything mean. But, these days, teacher's space is emphasized personality of individual study conversation between teachers and a rest etc. Even though the change of such use form is very important to teacher, it is true to be not considered much in architectural planning of existing school's facilities. Plan that correspond dividing use form of school affair meeting and business, individual study, a rest etc. of forward teacher space is to need. Therefore, I wish to suggest architectural data for general and efficient operation management of integrated school through this study.

학교도서관 시설에 대한 요구조사 분석 (An Analysis on the Needs Assessment of School Library Facilities in Korea)

  • 이 연구는 선행연구에서 제안한 학교도서관 시설에 대한 요구조사 도구를 사용하여 전국의 학생과 사서교사를 대상으로 자료를 수집하여 분석한 결과이다. 연구에 사용된 요구조사 도구는 한국도서관협회의 기준, IFLA의 학교도서관 가이드라인, AASL의 기준에서 공통적으로 제시하고 있는 10개의 시설특성과 세부요소를 바탕으로 하고 있다. 설문대상은 전국 18개 학교에 소속된 507명의 학생과 134명의 사서교사이며, 이들로부터 학교도서관 시설에 대한 중요도와 현재 수준을 조사하였다. 분석결과 학생과 사서교사는 모두 학교도서관의 시설특성의 중요도를 현재 수준보다 높게 평가하였다. 학생이 중요하게 생각하는 시설특성은 자료 접근성, 편리성, 공간성 순서이며, 사서교사가 중요하게 생각하는 특성은 쾌적한 환경, 확장성, 자료 접근성 순으로 나타났다.

  • This study proposes the direction of planning and designing for the media related facilities through the future concepts of media-center even though the concept and environment of the media-center are developed mealy at elementary schools in Korea. This study investigates and analyzes whether the present facilities are ready for the efficient education and improved facilities through comparison between after and before the 7th education program of systems of the academic support facilities. Therefore this study proposes the direction of developing and designing media-center through the field survey, make-up questionaries and analyzing architectural drawings of media related facilities for the future.

  • At present, the necessity of new design guidelines, evaluation and operation system for school facilities are on the rise according to re-edition of school curriculum in Korea. Moreover, it is necessary to procedure of the design, an institutional device and an ex post facto evaluation system for school facilities as a public building with the space planning that is suitable for various situations, which are able to collect users' various demands and opinions. Under the present situation, England has introduced and operated DQI system for the users' participation design of its. The present study will derive the meaning DQI system of England and how to operate it, and percuss the possibility of the application of design procedure of the education facilities in Korea.

맹학교(盲學校)의 학습공간(學習空間) 구성(構成)에 관한 연구(硏究) (A Study on the Planning of Educational Facilities for the Blind)

  • The purpose of this study is to get data of architectural planning in the special school for the Blind. To this end the chilcren's learning activities were analyzed, and their characteristics were noted in relation with the corresponding rooms. The findings may be summarized as follows. i) The pattern of study activities are multivarious. ii) Variety in learning spases is required. And it needs a space which can accommodate simultaneously both static and dynamic study activities. iii) The learning space must be conveniently planned in relation to those facilities for basic life activities such as eating and washing so that the children receive training in those activities as well.

  • A decrease in population in a rural region have raised a problem that small-scale schools got to be a branch school or abolished. Consequently, a function as a leading role in a community also have declined. Also residential districts of the outer of cities' development have increased for the change of residential environment consciousness. According to peoples who live in CBD move to residential districts of the outer of cities have been become devoid of substance. For this reason, the number of students in urban primary schools has declined more and more, and a number of unused classrooms came out, automatically. This study is to survey the utilization of unused classrooms in urban and rural primary schools in order to proffer basic data to new improvement methods of school facilities planning and to contribute a effect that induce parents of students and residents to use the facilities actively.

The school library which is very important part of school education needs support of necessary resources and adequate facilities for performing its functions effectively and efficiently. This reserch is based on the school library for present education to need. And, the objective of this reserch is to grasp the present condition of school library and to show improvement device for planning efficiently the time when school library is designed in future.
