Hanwoo cattle are a unique and historical breed in Korea that have been genetically improved and maintained by the national evaluation and selection system. The aim of this study was to provide information that can help improve the accuracy of the estimated breeding values in Hanwoo cattle by showing the difference between the imputation reference chip platforms of genomic data and the scaling factor of the genetic relationship matrix (GRM). In this study, nine sets of data were compared that consisted of 3 reference platforms each with 3 different scaling factors (-0.5, 0 and 0.5). The evaluation was performed using MTG2.0 with nine different GRMs for the same number of genotyped animals, pedigree, and phenotype data. A five multi-trait model was used for the evaluation in this study which is the same model used in the national evaluation system. Our results show that the Hanwoo custom v1 platform is the best option for all traits, providing a mean accuracy improvement by 0.1 - 0.3%. In the case of the scaling factor, regardless of the imputation chip platform, a setting of -1 resulted in a better accuracy increased by 0.5 to 1.6% compared to the other scaling factors. In conclusion, this study revealed that Hanwoo custom v1 used as the imputation reference chip platform and a scaling factor of -0.5 can improve the accuracy of the estimated breeding value in the Hanwoo population. This information could help to improve the current evaluation system.

In this paper we investigate scaling limits for associated random measures satisfying some moment conditions. No stationarity is required. Our results imply an improvement of a central limit theorem of Cox and Grimmett to associated random measure and an extension to the nonstationary case of scaling limits of Burton and Waymire. Also we prove an invariance principle for associated random measures which is an extension of the Birkel's invariance principle for associated process.

Objectives: To provide necessary information for stable establishment of the national dental scaling reimbursement system. Methods: This study was conducted in 380 adults in their twenties or older for about one month from July 2017. The questionnaires were composed of general characteristics, recognition (awareness) of dental scaling, knowledge of the dental scaling reimbursement program, changes in perception before versus after introduction of the dental scaling reimbursement program, and interest in oral health. To investigate into any factors affecting changes of interest in oral health care after introduction of the dental scaling reimbursement program, a multiple regression analysis was performed. Results: The investigation into any factors affecting changes of interest in oral health care after introduction of the dental scaling reimbursement program showed that higher usual interest in oral health (p<0.001) and the consideration that the dental scaling charges have been affordable after introduction of the scaling reimbursement program (p<0.01) led to more changes in interest in oral health care. Conclusions: The above-mentioned results suggest that the dental scaling reimbursement program has brought favorable changes in the perception of dental scaling. It is expected that the said program will contribute significantly to the improved national oral health, and the Government should make constant efforts to develop it as a long-term policy for oral health improvement.

Rapidly progressive periodontitis is known to be usually associated with systemic problems and improved with antibiotic therapy. Recent experiments in which bioresorbable polycaprolactone was polymerized with minocycline has shown that the system released effective antibiotic concentration during the 7 days' period. This clinical trial was to compare the efficacy of a minocycline film(poly-caprolactone+polyglycol+10% minocycline) insertion plus supragingival scaling(MS) or subgingival scaling & root planing(MSRP) with the scaling(S) or subgingival scaling & root planing alone(SRP), at improving the periodontal condition in RPP. Fifteen patients were examined for plaque accumulation, gingival inflammation, probing depth and attachment loss at baseline, then 1, 2, 4 and 8 weeks after 4 treatment regimens were randomly undergone in 4 comparable sites(PD>5mm, LA>3mm) in each subject. Results revealed statistically significant treatement effect with a reduction in a probing depth in SRP(2.0mm), MS(1.8mm), and MSRP(2.1mm). There was no significant reduction in the supragingival scaling alone group(0.6mm). Similarly, attachment levels were significantly improved in the SRP(1.5mm), MS(2.0mm) and MSRP(2.0mm) groups. Net % BOP reduction at 8 week compared to baseline was 6.7% (S), 26.7% (MS), 26.7% (SRP), and 33.3% (MSRP). MSRP produced the greatest improvement in BOP at 8 week. This data suggests that a subgingival minocycline delivery system as a adjunct to scaling alone or scaling & root planing may produce significant clinical benefits over scaling alone in rapidly progressive periodontitis patients.

기존의 축척방법을 개선하기 위하여 실험 데이터나 엔진 제작사에서 제공된 일부 데이터로부터 일련의 구성품 성능선도들을 구하고, MATLAB 프로그램의 다항식을 이용하여 새롭게 성능선도를 구성하는 축척방법을 제안하였다. 본 연구에서는 소형 터보축 엔진의 실험 데이터를 이용하여 새로 제안된 기법을 검증하였고, 실제 항공기 엔진인 PT6A-62에 새로 제안된 기법을 적용하여 보았다. 여기서 얻어진 구성품 성능선도로 성능해석을 수행한 결과를 실제 엔진 성능 데이터, 기존의 축척방법으로 얻어진 구성품 성능선도로 성능해석을 수행한 결과와 비교하였다.

Deep learning neural network becomes very popular nowadays due to the reason that it can learn a very complex dataset such as the image dataset. Although deep learning neural network can produce high accuracy on the image dataset, it needs a lot of time to reach the convergence stage. To solve the issue, we have proposed a scaling method to improve the neural network to achieve the convergence stage in a shorter time than the original method. From the result, we can observe that our algorithm has higher performance than the other previous work.

본 연구는 사유림 경영 활성화 방안 중 하나인 사유림 경영 규모화 사업의 참여에 영향을 주는 산주 특성을 분석하여 사유림 경영 규모화 사업의 조기 시행과 확대를 위한 기초자료를 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 연구방법은 산주 373명을 대상으로 사유림 경영 규모화 사업의 참여의사 및 개인 특성 등을 설문조사하였으며 이항 로짓 분석(Binary-Logit Analysis)을 적용하여 사유림 경영 규모화 사업 참여에 영향을 주는 요인을 분석하였다. 로짓 분석을 위해 설정한 산주의 특성 즉, 독립변수는 성별, 연령, 학력, 직업, 소득, 거주지, 산지소유목적 그리고 산림조합 조합원 가입유무이다. 분석 결과, 사유림 경영 규모화 사업에 참여하겠다는 산주가 373명 중 267명(71.6%)이었으며 나머지 106명(28.4%)은 참여거부 의사를 나타냈다. 산주의 연령이 낮을수록, 직업은 자영업이 그리고 산지 소유 목적이 산림 경영일 경우 사유림 경영 규모화 사업 참여 확률이 높은 것으로 분석되었다.

본 논문은 GPGPU가속을 이용한 스케일링 필터(scaling filter) 및 트랜스코딩(Transcoding)의 성능 향상 방법을 제안한다. 트랜스코딩 기술은 다양한 요구조건을 지닌 멀티미디어 기기에 적합하게 동영상을 가공하는 기술로, 오늘날 여러 분야에서 활용되는 중요한 기술이다. 그러나 트랜스코딩에는 대량의 연산이 필요하기 때문에 기존 트랜스코더(Transcoder) 사용자들은 오랜 처리시간을 감내 해야만 했는데, 이는 CPU만을 이용한 트랜스코딩이 충분히 효율적이지 못하기 때문이다. 본 연구에서는 고성능의 연산이 가능한 GPGPU기술을 활용하여, 트랜스코더의 스케일링 필터를 GPU 상에서 높은 병렬성을 가지고 동작하도록 개선함으로써 트랜스코더의 전체적인 성능을 향상시켰다. 개선된 트랜스코더는 다양한 크기의 동영상과 여러 종류의 스케일링 필터 옵션들에 대해 잘 동작함이 검증되었으며, 기본 옵션에서 36%, 최대 101%의 성능향상을 보였다.

Since 2013, adults aged over 20 can receive national health insurance scaling once a year in South Korea. In this study, we analyzed the usage status of national health insurance care service for periodontal disease in 2010-2018 by using Healthcare big data of the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service. The increase rate of the dental care users was very high at 7.8 and 11.2% in 2013 and 2014, respectively. These are higher than the increase rate of all medical institution users, which is between -1.7 and 3.7%. In 2017, the rate of dental use was 44.4%, which has increased more than 10% compared to 2012. Percent receiver of national health insurance scaling was 19.5% in 2017. The 20s had the highest rate of 23.2%. The rate decreased with age. Based on these results, it can be evaluated that the expansion of national health insurance coverage for scaling improves accessibility to dental care. A more long-term assessment of the effect of periodic dental examination and scaling on reducing the prevalence of periodontal disease is needed. National health insurance coverage should be extended to oral hygiene education and supportive periodontal therapy in order to prevent periodontal disease.

본 연구에서는 건강보험의 치석제거 급여범위 확대에 대한 인식 및 만족도에 대해 알아보고자 2014년 4월 1일부터 30일까지 한 달간 일부지역 만 20세 이상 성인 608명을 설문조사하여, 분석하였으며 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 연구대상자는 건강보험 급여범위 확대 후 치석제거 인지여부 비교에서는 '알고 있다'라는 집단이 76.9%로 높게 나타났으며, 학력과 월수입에서 유의한 차이를 보였다. 조사대상자의 일반적 특성에 따라 치석제거 시술에 대한 만족도, 재 이용, 권유의사에서는 학력에서 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 치석제거 만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 대졸 미만과 치과위생사에서 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 재방문에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 타인에게 권유나 검색으로 내원하였을 때 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 권유의사에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 대졸 미만과 타인에게 권유를 받았거나 검색으로 내원하였을 때, 그리고 치과위생사가 치석제거를 시행하였을 때와 치석제거 전 구강보건교육을 시행하였을 때 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 종합해보면 치과위생사가 치석제거 전에 구강보건교육을 실시함으로써 환자의 만족도와 권유의사가 높았던 것으로 보아 치과위생사는 술식 전에 미리 환자와의 유대관계 형성을 통해 심리적 안정감을 줄 수 있도록 해야할 것이며, 또한 치과위생사의 고유 업무인 치석제거의 질적 향상을 위한 지속적인 노력이 필요하고, 추후 치석제거 만족도 향상을 위한 요구도를 파악하고 관련 요인을 검증하는 연구가 이루어져야 할 필요가 있다.
