The purpose of this study is to test the economic rationality hypothesis of the low fertility trap among 412 college students at 13 private universities located in Seoul. The respondents were requested to complete the self-administered questionnaire, and the hierarchical multiple regression analyses were performed for analyzing the data. The major findings of this study were as follows: First, the students' views on the prospects for their future employability were 54.6% for big business, 64.51% for medium-sized business, and 49.63% for public sector. In the most employable job, the mean desired monthly salary was 3,505,400 won, while the mean expected monthly salary 2,753,600 won. Second, hierarchical regression analyses revealed that the family income in parental home was positively related to youths' consumption aspirations. Finally, the gap between youths' consumption aspirations and their expected income was negatively related to their desired number of children, while not significantly related to their planned age of first child birth. Thus, the low fertility trap hypothesis was supported in terms of birth rate drop, but not supported in terms of childbearing postponement. The implications of the study results are discussed.

People are often motivated by money. The salary a worker is paid by his employer can have a great influence on his performance in the administration. The study aims to identify and measure the impact of collective bargaining on the income of employees in enterprises. Participants were given a questionnaire consisting of 21 observation variables with a 5-point Likert scale. Independent variables were measured from 1 "without effect" to 5 "strongly". Based on the literature review and results of interviews, a total of 285 questionnaires were sent to participants in 95 enterprises in three typical fields: industry, construction, textile, and garment; 255 of them met the standards and were subject to be analyzed. We use qualitative research methods combined with quantitative research methods. SPSS20 software is used to synthesize and analyze data. The results of Cronbach's alpha, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Multiple Regression Analysis (MRA) identify, the objective for collective bargaining (MT), time to organize collective bargaining (TD), the competence of the parties of the collective bargaining (NL), collective bargaining organization process (QT) are positively correlated with the income of workers in enterprises; information provided for collective bargaining (TT) has a negative correlation with the income of employees in enterprises. Based on the findings, some suggestions have been given for collective bargaining to increase the income of employees in enterprises in Vietnam.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify factors influencing nursing performance of clinical nurses. Methods: This was a descriptive study involving 172 nurses who worked for 6 months or longer at one general hospital in B City. The data analysis was conducted with t-test, ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression. Results: Nursing performance of participants positively correlated with job stress (r=.16, p=.033). The factors affecting nursing performance were total clinical experience (β=.37 p<.001), salary (β=.19, p=.028), and job stress (β=.13, p=.045). These variables had a 27.2% variance to explain nursing performance. Conclusion: Based on these results, administrative and financial support are required for the development of a clinical career program, including the differentiation of salary systems of clinical nurses. There is also a need to develop and implement job stress management and coping programs.

The purpose of this study is to see how career management affects employee retention in professional service businesses (PSOs). The role of knowledge and skills as moderating variables in the relationship between career management and intention to stay is also investigated. A review of the literature on career management, which includes promotion, training, mentorship, starting salary, and the laxity-stringency of organizational entry-exit rules, leads to the hypothesis that career management positively affects employees' intentions to stay. Such a positive impact may differ between knowledgeable and skilled employees and their less knowledgeable and skilled counterparts. Cross-sectional data is obtained from 200 professionals working for various PSOs. Stepwise regression is employed to analyze the data. The research found that career management positively affects the intention to stay. The impact of promotion, training and mentorship on the intention to stay is moderated by knowledge and skills. Conversely, knowledge and skills do not moderate the effect of starting salary and the laxity-stringency of organizational entry-exit on intention to stay. The study's findings imply that by implementing effective career management, talented professionals can be retained. However, the level of knowledge and skills should be carefully considered. These findings offer significant insights into human capital management, particularly in PSOs.
This study explored the determinants of first job employment outcomes(employment status, salary, company size) of engineering college graduates using 2018 Graduates Occupational Mobility Survey(GOMS) data. Independent variables were used as variables for personal characteristics, academic background, and job preparation efforts. The priorities and interactions between the factors determining employment outcomes were identified using the decision tree analysis. The research results are as follows. First, it was found that the most important factor in determining the 'first job employment status' was 'exam preparation(public and private company, test for teacher recruitment)' among individual's job preparation efforts. Second, the most important factor in determining 'first job salary' was 'gender' among individual characteristics. Third, the most important factor in determining the 'first company size' was the experience of 'corporate job aptitude study' among individual's job preparation efforts. Based on the results of the analysis, suggestions for establishing customized career development strategies for engineering college students were presented.

This study examines changes in income for Vietnam's service labors during COVID-19. A person's income depends on several factors, such as educational level, working area, the number of activities creating jobs, the cost of living, investment, etc. This research was based on a survey of 479 workers in Vietnam's service sector, who were evenly distributed across sectors (tourism and aviation) and workplaces (State and private). Based on the collected data, the REM regression model was used to analyze the factors influencing employee income when COVID-19 took place. The research returns show that the COVID-19 pandemic has had a considerable influence on labor incomes, and there are income disparities that exist between workers by work area and by gender. This study indicates that workers' wages in Vietnam decreased by an average of 12.22 million VND per month after the outbreak of COVID-19. In addition, the results also show that the income of workers after COVID-19 differs depending on their position (the average salary of laborers working in the public sector is about 3.946 million VND higher than the average salary of laborers in the private sector); furthermore, the incomes of workers also vary by gender.

This paper aims to evaluate the effects of Critical work factors on Work Motivation and Job Satisfaction of young Vietnamese employees. The four most essential work aspects were consisting of the Work environment, Employee empowerment, Salary, and Promotion opportunities. To empirically evaluate the proposed research model, the authors assemble data through conducting questionnaire interviews with young employees working in Vietnamese firms. A sample of 216 respondents was constructed using the PLS-SEM program to highlight the testing of thirteen hypotheses. The testing results indicate that four Critical work factors positively impact the job motivation of young employees, especially two factors as Salary and Promotion opportunities. Surprisingly, the hypothesis regarding the positive direct relationship between Promotion opportunities and Job satisfaction is not supported. Meanwhile, the rest influence factors have a significant connection with the Vietnamese worker's job satisfaction. The mediation role of Work motivation was also tested by examining the indirect positive relationship between four Critical work factors and Job satisfaction. This paper is the first study that focuses on young employees; hence, these research findings provide Vietnamese human resource managers some suggestions for reference, which can be considered the dynamic factors on the young Vietnamese employees.
Objective : This study aims to identify the job market for occupational therapists by analyzing recruitment advertisements for occupational therapists from 2011 to 2018. Methods : A total of 15,869 job placement notices posted on the portal site(http://otbrain.com/) were collected to analyze the job market for occupational therapists based on their regions, employment types, salary levels, employment times, and recruitment fields. Results : The total number of annual recruitment advertisements for occupational therapists was 544 which was higher than the number of people who passed the national exam. According to the region, recruitments were concentrated in the Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. According to employment type, the employment rate of permanent workers was on the decline but that of temporary workers showed an increasing trend. The salary level was the highest with the annual salary ranging from 20 million won to 25 million won or less, and the recruitment fields were found to have about 4.6 times more offerings in the adult and senior fields than in the pediatric fields. Conclusion : These study results can be used as a basic data for identifying the job market for occupational therapists.
