An IDE based Hierarchical Node Authentication Protocol for Secure Data Transmission in WSN Environment (WSN 환경에서 안전한 데이터 전달을 위한 IDE 기반의 계층적 노드인증 프로토콜)

  • In WSN environment, the sensor nodes collect sensed data, and transmit data to the BS. BS is difficult to trust the data from unauthenticated nodes. Therefore, many papers have been proposed about the node authentication and the safety of data. In the AM-E paper, data is delivered after node authentication. In this time, the sensor nodes are directly communicated to BS the AREQ/AREP message for authentication. Therefore, the sensor nodes consume more energy for authentication. Also, noes communicate directly with the BS for authentication will have problem due to the limited energy of nodes. In this paper, the same security with AM-E is supported, Furthermore, to minimize the energy consumption, IDE based hierarchical node authentication protocol is proposed. Compared with AM-E, the number of alive nodes is increased about 39%. Thus, the entire network life time is extended and energy efficiency is improved.

Random Backoff Scheme of Emergency Warning Message for Vehicle-to-Vehicle Communications (차량 간 통신에서 충돌을 완화하기 위한 랜덤 백오프 방안)

  • In this paper, we propose a random backoff scheme for Emergency Warning Messages (EWMs) in the vehicle-to-vehicle environment. The EWMs are disseminated from a vehicle that detects an emergency situation to other vehicles in a multi-hop fashion. Since the vehicle-to-vehicle communication based on IEEE 802.11 adapts CSMA/CA, the density of vehicles increase the probability of collisions between transmissions. Moreover, in the presence of background traffic, the EWM should have a higher priority than that of other messages in neighboring vehicles. To that end, we propose the Distant-Dependent Adaptive Backoff (DDAB) scheme, which set a different contention window for random backoff depending on the distance from the sender to the receiver. In the case when a vehicle is expected to located in the outskirts of the communication boundary, the proposed scheme makes the contention window size small in order to compete the background traffic transmission. Otherwise the contention window is set to a large number to reduce the collision possibility among the EWM transmissions. Via simulations, we show that the proposed scheme performs better than the previous schemes for EWM.

  • IMO e-Navigation is ongoing project for safety navigation and protection of maritime environment. Maritime Cloud is a part of e-Navigation Strategy Implementation Plan. It is IT framework technology for exchanging information among maritime stakeholders. We found configuration and operation process by analysis on Maritime Cloud architecture and EPD which is a client program. Through the result, we actually implemented client program. Client program targets Berthing data serviced on AIS-ASM. And we used MMS which is function of message exchanging of Maritime Cloud. The test result show data exchanging succeeded. And it will be helpful to develop Maritime Cloud service, to advance Korean Maritime Cloud.

A Study on the Modus Operandi of Smishing Crime for Public Safety (국민안전을 위한 스미싱 범죄수법분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyse Modus Operandi of smishing. For the study, 87 cases of smishing crime reports and smishing experiences of victims were analysed and 10 police officers who investigates smishing crime were interviewed. The results indicated that smishing crime can be divided into the preparation stage and the implementation stage. In the preparation stage, two modus operandi patterns, collection of personal information and text message script composition, were identified. In the implementation stage, seven modus operandi patterns were identified: sending smishing text messages and installation of malicious mobile applications, leak personal information, sending personal information to smishing crime organization through online server, payment attempt using collected personal information, intercept authorization code, completion of payment using intercepted authorization code, and payment amount was delivered to victims. Further implications were discussed.

  • The RR protocole, proposed in IETF mip6 WG and standardized by RFC 3775 at lune 2004, send a message 'Binding Update' that express MN's location information to CN safety and update location information. Standard RR protocole has some problems with initiating the protocol by the MN; it causes to increases in communication load in the home network, to increases communication delay between MN and CN. Also, is connoting vulnerability to against attacker who are on the path between CN and HA in security aspect. This paper proposes doing to delegate MN's location information update rights by HA new location information update method. That is, When update MN's location information to HA, Using MN's private key signed location information certificate use and this certificate using method that HA uses MN's location information at update to CN be. It decreases the route optimization overhead by reducing the number of messages as well as the using location information update time. Also, remove security weakness about against attacker who are on the path between CN and HA.

  • What is an alternative to medical information security of medical information more secure preservation and safety of various types of security threats should be taken, starting from the software design. Interspersed with medical information systems medical information to be able to integrate the real-time exchange of medical information must be reliable data communication. The software architecture design of medical information systems and sharing of medical information security issues and communication phase allows the user to identify the requirements reflected in the software design. Software framework design, message standard design, design a web-based inter-process communication procedures, access control algorithm design, architecture, writing descriptions, evaluation of various will procedure the establishing architecture. The initial decision is a software architecture design, development, testing, maintenance, ongoing impact. In addition, the project will be based on the decision in detail. Medical information security method based on the design software architecture of today's medical information security has become an important task of the framework will be able to provide.

  • In 2017, Korea has reached 1.3 million elderly people living alone. The government is promoting the basic care service for the elderly by using care workers to check the security of the elderly living alone. However, due to lack of service personnel and service usage rate of elderly care workers, it is difficult to manage. To improve these environmental constraints, this study attempted to construct a monitoring system for elderly people living alone by using sensors such as temperature, humidity, motion detection, and gas leak detection. The sensor periodically collects the current status data of the elderly and sends them to the server, creates a real time graph based on the data, and monitors it through the web. In the monitoring process, when the sensor is out of the range of the specified value, it sends a warning text message to the guardian to inform the current situation, and is designed and implemented so as to support the safety life of the elderly living alone.

  • These-days technology related to IoT (Internet of Thing) is widely used and there are many types of smart system based IoT like smart health, smart building and so on. In smart health system, it is possible to check someone's health by analyzing data from wearable IoT device like smart watch. Smart building system aims to collect data from sensor such as humidity, temperature, human counter like that and control the building for energy efficiency, security, safety and so forth. Furthermore, smart city system can comprise several smart systems like smart building, smart health, smart mobility, smart energy and etc. In this paper, we propose multimedia IoT based intelligent emergency alarm system for smart city. In existing IoT based smart system, it communicates lightweight data like text data. In the past, due to network's limitations lightweight IoT protocol was proposed for communicating data between things but now network technology develops, problem which is to communicate heavy data is solving. The proposed system obtains video from IP cameras/CCTVs, analyses the video by exploiting AI algorithm for detecting emergencies and prevents them which cause damage or death. If emergency is detected, the proposed system sends warning message that emergency may occur to people or agencies. We built prototype of the intelligent emergency alarm system based on MQTT and assured that the system detected dangerous situation and sent alarm messages. From the test results, it is expected that the system can prevent damages of people, nature and save human life from emergency.

Velocity based Self-Configuring Time Division Broadcasting Protocol for Periodic Messages in Vehicle-to-Vehicle Communication (차량 간 통신에서 주기적 메시지를 위한 속도 기반의 자가 구성형 시분할 브로드캐스팅 방법)

  • For vehicle safety-related services using wireless communications, reliable collection of various driving informations transmitted periodically by neighbor vehicles is the most important. Every host vehicle analyses them to estimate a potential dangerous situation in a very short time and warns drivers to prevent an accident. However tremendous amount of periodic messages can cause the wireless communication in chaos and the services not in safe. In this paper, we propose a time-division broadcasting protocol to mitigate the communication congestion. It utilizes the received information of vehicle velocity and location, i.e. vehicle traffic density on a road to adjust the number of time slots in a given broadcasting period, and transmission power. The simulation results show that message reception ratio is changed to approximately 40% and channel access time also decreased from 10ms to 0.23ms.

  • In ports of Korea, the marine traffic flow is congested due to a large number of vessels coming in and going out. In order to improve the safety and efficiency of these vesse's movement, South Korea is operating with a Vessel Traffic System, which is monitoring its flow 24-7. However despite these efforts of the VTS (Vessel Traffic System) officers, marine accidents are occurring continuously in their control area. VTS Officers are controlling subjectively based on their experience due to no VTS control guideline of dangerous situation among vessels. On this paper, we listened to Busan VHF channel for 3days and analyzed the message. With collision risk model, We analyzed a moment of risk which officers advise or recommend to vessel in encounter situation, VTSO's career, and day&night.
