  • Previous works on safety behavior have paid less attention to the influence of several leadership styles on safety behavior. Among the various leadership styles, I focus on the effect of coaching leadership on safety behavior. To be specific, this paper investigates the impact of coaching leadership on safety behavior and its underlying mechanisms (mediator) as well as contextual factor (moderator). This research examines the sequential mediating effect of perceived organizational support and organizational identification in the association between coaching leadership and safety behavior. Also, work overload will negatively moderate the coaching leadership-perceived organizational support link. My results showed coaching leadership increases employee safety behavior through the sequential mediation of perceived organizational support and organizational identification. In addition, work overload functions as a negative moderator which diminishes the positive effect of coaching leadership on perceived organizational support.

  • This study investigated the impact of a safety coaching program on the safety behavior and safety climate among expressway safety patrols. Four to seven patrols from each of the three branches participated in this study. The safety coaching program was developed based on the GROW model, with main contents including recognizing individual differences, exploring safety values, communicating near-misses, providing effective and efficient feedback, employing non-violent communication, and fostering commitment toward safety behaviors. Additionally, each session included self-monitoring and peer review of each item based on a critical behavior checklist developed for this study, with challenging goals set based on the monitoring and review. The safety coaching program comprised six sessions in three branches, while three other branches were assigned as a control group. A non-equivalent control group experimental design was applied. Dependent variables included observed and perceived safety behavior, safety climate, psychological safety, and feedback. The results indicated that the safety coaching program effectively increased patrols' safety behavior and safety climate. Furthermore, psychological safety and feedback improved. These findings suggest that the developed safety coaching program could serve as an alternative method to enhance safety management for expressway safety patrols. Finally, the implications, limitations, and directions for future research are discussed.

  • This study examined the effect of safety leadership coaching program on managers' safety management and workers' safety behaviors in construction site. Three or four managers and about one hundred workers at each site participated in this study. Safety leadership coaching program consisted of safety leadership education, goal setting, self-monitoring and feedback on workers' safety behavior, reward for three safety management behaviors; (1) safety observations of workers safety behavior and (2) providing positive feedback on safe behavior (3) providing corrective feedback on risk behavior and daily safety education for workers. Dependent variables were the percentage of safe behaviors of workers and frequency of managers' safety management behaviors. A nonconcurrent AB multiple baseline design across settings was adopted. After baseline(A), safety leadership coaching program (B) was introduced to each site. The results showed that safety leadership coaching program was effective to increase managers' and workers' safety behaviors. These results suggest that safety leadership coaching program developed in this study would be an alternative treatment technique to improve construction safety management. In addition, the implications, limitations of this study, and future studies are discussed.

  • Purpose: Workers are expected to perform their tasks and explore differences through innovation. Despite managerial coaching growing attention, limited studies offer information on the effects of managerial coaching towards psychological safety and job commitment. There is a limited empirical study examining managerial coaching efficacy. However, practitioners and researchers have emphasized managerial coaching contribution on improvement of subordinates outcomes. This study intend to fill the research gap on literature regarding managerial coaching, job commitment and psychological safety. Research design, data and methodology: The present research has conducted the literature content analysis which is widely used by numerous prior studies that was already proved as a flexible and straightforward methodology. Results: Based on the textual approach in the past and current literature, the results indicated that the managerial coaching effects on workers job commitment and psychological safety which include workers performance and job satisfaction. As a result, the workers are ready to engage their jobs and improve their performance. Conclusions: The current research concluded that the managers must strive to facilitate employees to earn clarity on their responsibilities and goals and feel psychologically empowered. • Background: The wood-processing industry has historically exhibited high rates of occupational hazards resulting in illness and injury. One of the major causes of high injury rates is small firm size, as resource constraints generally preclude hiring safety officers. This study examined the effect of a safety leadership training program that included coaching for managers on workers' safety behaviors and safety climate in three wood-processing companies. Methods: One or two managers at each site participated in this study. The manager training consisted of safety leadership education, safety observation, positive or corrective feedback on workers' behaviors, goal setting, and low-cost rewards for meeting goals. The dependent variable was the percentage of safe employee behaviors recorded on a critical behavior checklist developed for this study. Safety climate was measured before and after the intervention. An AB multiple baseline design across settings was adopted. After the baseline (A), the training program (B) was introduced to each site at different points in time. Results: After the introduction of safety leadership training, the mean rate of safety compliance increased by 15.3%, from 80.38% to 95.68%, and safety climate scores increased significantly from an average of 3.2 to 3.47. Conclusion: These results suggest that safety leadership coaching can be effective in improving safety management in small sawmilling sites. Implications, limitations, and possible future research directions are discussed.

  • This study aims to develop a diagnostic tool that can measure nine personality types of the enneagram types based on the theoretical content of enneagram to measure personality as a human factor among various factors that affect to performance for maximizing organization and individual's performance. We have develeped measure items to figure out 9 enneagram types. Since first of September of to 30th August 2011, we had a preliminary survey with total 842 students in zed the data. Based on the results of the analysis of preliminary invmiddle and high school and analyestigation, we made a Enneagram Personality Type Inventory for Young People with a total of 144 selected questions. 4,008 middle and high students across the country were surveyed and had statistical analysis with the data. The data shows Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ was from .77 to .86 for the 9 types. This diagnostic tool developed with this study will help students can understand, develop and grow themselves, also this can be useful in coaching and counseling areas like Personality, career, academic, career and leadership development.

  • For years, many studies have mainly been investigated in a complicated human motion analysis. Recently, many motion analysis equipments have been studied and developed. Therefore, the more complex human movement analyses are possible, we have enabled us to perform more and more complicated human movement analyses. A Three-dimensional(3D) motion analysis on of the several methods is a useful tool for analyzing the human motion analysis. The purpose of this study was to develop the 3D human motion analysis using a kalman filter algorithm and a gyro sensor. The algorithm and sensor were used to human motion analysis with high-speed motion capture. In this study, the developed system will be adapted to facilitate golf swing analysis. Using the developed system, golfers and coaches who do not have advanced biomechanical knowledge can easily be used to their golf swing analysis. Future study is necessary for more practical and efficient area such as other sports industries, 3D game industries, rehabilitation training, etc..
