The aim of this study is to survey and analyze the safety perception and attitude of the construction managers for the purpose of contributing to the construction industry accident prevention by inducing safety behaviors of managers. The data analysis found that there were significant differences on safety perception and attitude depending on job positions. This survey found that job position and career affect the safety perception and attitude of manager. Further analysis revealed job position has more an effect on it than career. Therefore, in order to improve the safety perception and attitude of managers, it is effective to put managers more responsibility on safety.
This study examined the effects of perceptual differences of safety leadership between managers and workers on workers' safety attitudes and behavior in two construction sites. In addition, the mediating role of safety attitude between safety leadership and safety behavior across discrepancy level of safety leadership. This study was conducted on two first-tier construction companies within the 100th place in 2019. Two companies were similar in size(100 - 150 billion won) and process from the basement frame finishing stage to start of the ground structure of apartment. In A Site, 40 managers and 73 workers, 42 managers and 77 workers in B site participated the survey on managers' safety leadership, and workers' safety attitude and behavior. The results showed that there was no significant difference between the safety leadership scores assessed by the manager and workers at site B. However, the safety leadership scores assessed by the managers were significantly higher than that by the workers at site A. The workers' safety attitudes and behaviors at site B were higher than those of workers at site A. Moreover, Site B was significantly higher in the effects of safety leadership on safety behavior than Site A. At site B, safety leadership had a significant influence on safety behavior even after controlling the safety attitude of workers. At site A, safety leadership had no significant effect on safety behavior after controlling safety attitude. These findings suggest that there is managers' self-serving bias on safety leadership in site A and that this bias of leadership can negatively affect workers' safety attitude and behaviors. In addition, it can be seen that if the self-serving bias on safety leadership occurs, the manager's safety leadership has less influence on workers' safety behavior.
The purpose of this study was supply basic information and positive attitude needed to understand the disabled person through the analysing EMT Dept. student reaction on the disabled person. The subjects for this study were 251 students from G-college in In-Cheon City. The subjects were separated as the EMT dept. students and general dept student. The instrument used for this study were Lazer. Bonett and Granaff(1973). The scale of attitude on the disabled person. Data were analyzed by use of two-sample t-test and correlation coefficient with SAS program. Results are as follows ; 1. Frist, the EMT Dept. students showed more positive and optimistic attitude on the disabled person as safety prevention with their family life and safety prevention with first impression, but the general dept. student showed more positive and optimistic attitude on the disabled person as safety prevention with their self-consciousness, safety prevention with operative capacity, safety prevention with social life and safety prevention with school life. 2. Second, on attitude of 1 or 2 grade, first grade showed more positive and optimistic attitude on the disabled person as safety prevention with self-consciousness and safety prevention with operative capacity. Second grade showed more positive and optimistic attitude on the disabled person as safety prevention with social life, safety prevention with family life and safety prevention with school life. and first impression. But disabled person as safety prevention with self-consciousness, safety prevention with operative capacity, safety prevention with social life, safety prevention with school life and first impression. 3. Third, in interrelation effect analysing each section department and grade. They showed and interrelated more positive and optimistic attitude on the disabled person as safety prevention with their social life and first impression. As a results, it is important to understand disabled person whose physical condition. Especially, this study suggests to need to endeavor safety prevention for disabled person.

Objectives: The purpose of the study is to investigate the knowledge and attitude towards radiation protection after radiation safety management education in dental hygiene students. Methods: After receiving informed consents, a self-reported questionnaire was carried out for 135 dental hygiene students in Busan on June 17 for preliminary survey and September 3 for post-education survey, 2011. The questionnaire was modified from Han and consisted of 5 questions of general characteristics, 6 questions of radiation use, 7 questions of scholastic characteristics, 15 questions of knowledge towards radiation safety management, and 15 questions of attitude towards radiation safety management. Cronbach's alpha was 0.808 in the knowledge towards radiation safety management. Attitude towards radiation safety management included 15 questions of general attitude towards radiation safety management, individual and patient, and attitude toward radiation exposure reduction measured by Likert 5 scale. Cronbach's alpha was 0.970 in the attitude towards radiation safety management. Data were analyzed using SAS version 9.2 for educational analysis, technical analysis and multivariate analysis, paired t-test, and GLM. Results: Significant differences were shown in the knowledge and attitudes towards radiation safety management; the level of knowledge was respectively $9.8{\pm}3.0$ and $12.9{\pm}1.9$ points before and after education, and the level of attitude was $4.28{\pm}0.51$ and $4.53{\pm}0.47$ before and after the education. The levels of knowledge and attitude according to general characteristics showed a significant differences in grade and academic results. Post-education survey suggested that the education is very important and necessary and can change the knowledge and attitude towards radiation safety management in the dental hygiene students. Conclusions: Through the radiation safety management education, the levels of knowledge and attitude towards radiation safety management have changed significantly, which showed that the radiation safety management education proved to be very effective. Therefore, an effective radiation safety management education program is necessary to improve the levels of knowledge and attitude towards radiation safety management in the dental hygiene students.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine undergraduate students' level of knowledge, attitude, and confidence toward patient safety. Methods: A descriptive survey design was used. The subjects consisted of 932 senior nursing students who have had clinical practice in nursing schools in a metropolitan city in Korea. The data were collected from March 4th to 28th in 2011. Knowledge, attitude, and confidence on patient safety were measured using self administered questionnaires. Data were analyzed with SPSS 18.0 using descriptive statistics, t-test, One-Way ANOVA, and Pearson correlation coefficient. Results: Knowledge of patient safety was relatively low and attitude and confidence were at moderate level. There were statistically significant differences in knowledge, attitude, and confidence toward patient safety according to gender, educational system, grades, satisfaction with nursing major or clinical practice, and experience of patient safety education or patient safety campaign. There was a significant positive correlation among knowledge, attitude and confidence on patient safety. Conclusion: The study findings suggests that concept and skills on patient safety need to be educated systematically during undergraduate curriculum linked with clinical practicum.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the patient safety motivation, patient safety management attitude, and patient safety management behavior and to identify the factors affecting patient safety management behavior of targeted new nurses. Subjects were 127 nurses and data were collected by questionnaires from September 11 to September 30, 2020. Data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test, Pearson correlation coefficients and multiple regression analysis. Patient safety motivation was positive correlated with patient safety management attitude, and patient safety management behavior. Patient safety management attitude was positive correlated with patient safety management behavior. Patient safety motivation, patient safety management attitude and safety education experience were main factors that affect safety management behavior. These results suggest to develop educational program and application that include patient safety motivation, patient safety management attitude in order to improve patient safety management behavior of new nurses.
It requires to make the safety education not a merely formal education but as a practical one for the factor of safety on the industrial environment. We surveyed the workers who are working for a power plant-related small and medium sized businesses around Incheon about the necessity of safety education to improve the safety awareness for themselves. The answered workers for the survey are numbered 198, and we can analyzed those questionnaires by using SEM(Structural Equation Modeling). We ran the analysis by the tool of statistics, AMOS19.0. We examined the basic hypothesis that self-efficacy, safety education, and perceived safety influenced on the will for the safety on the job through the attitude of safety on the work as a parametric cause. We can derive a result that self-efficacy and education about safety makes an effect not only on the will for the safety directly, but also through the attitude and perceived safety. Perceived safety does not influenced on the attitude of safety on the work. Education, attitude, and perceived safety show positive influential factors, but self-efficacy represents negative effect directly on the will for the safety. Safety eduction makes more positive effect on the attitude and perception of the safety, and it shows the necessity for the reinforcement.

Purpose: Communication in hospitals is one of the major factors in patient safety. So, the purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between intra-organizational communication satisfaction and the safety attitude of nurses in hospitals. Method: A descriptive survey design with convenience sampling was used. Data collection was done using a self-report questionnaire answered by 278 nurses from one university hospital located in Kyeoung-gi Province, Korea. Result: Intra-organizational communication satisfaction positively correlated with safety attitude (r=.747, p<.01). Among the 6 sub dimensions of safety attitude, perceptions of management (r=.675, p<.01), job satisfaction (r=.640, p<.01) and teamwork climate (r=.600. p<.01) were strongly related to intra-organizational communication satisfaction. Multiple regression analysis was done to identify explanation power of intra-organizational communication satisfaction against safety attitude. The model was significant (F=48.540, p<.01). Intra-organizational communication satisfaction accounted for 60.9% of variance in safety attitude (Adj $R^2$=.609). Conclusions: The results of this study indicate that higher levels of intra-organizational communication satisfaction promote positive safety attitude in hospital nurses and that communication media quality is an important factor in patient safety attitude. Therefore, developing interventions to revitalize intra-organizational communication level based on communication media quality will help in the construction of positive safety attitude in nurses.
Purpose: This study aimed at not only suggest some ideas useful in planning and doing the safety education in the elementary schools in the near future putting into test the safety education proposal which has been developed by researchers in accordance with the national 7st education courses but also improve health of the children through taking right safety knowledge and sound safety attitude. Method: For this study 140 student are selected from 3-5th grade of the elementary school in Kyoungki-Do and Kwangwon-Do and have been taught the safety education during 10weeks, 10times. Result: 1) After the safety education, knowledge about the injury prevention of the children show to be significantly different from that they had before(t=-9.156, p=.000). 2) In order to look into any effect of the attitude about injury prevention after the safety education there were significant difference(t=-3.755, p=.000). Conclusion: As the findings of the study indicating that safety education expand the correct knowledge about injury prevention and have more affirmative and sound attitude about injury prevention. So it may be concluded that, safety education have the positive effect both knowledge and attitude about injury prevention among elementary school children.
Purpose: The study examined the effects of knowledge, attitude, and confidence on the education needs of nursing students with respect to patient safety management. The participants were 119 students from nursing college. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, analysis of variance(ANOVA), Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis with the SPSS program. Results: The student's educational needs with respect to patient safety management differed significantly by experience of patient safety accidents (p=.026) and experience of reporting medical errors (p<.001). Additionally, the educational needs with respect to patient safety management were found to have statistically significant positive relationships with both attitude (r=.39) and confidence (r=.37). Further, a total of 23% of the education needs with regard to patient safety management were explained by attitude and confidence. Conclusion: These results can be used to develop nursing students' education programs to enhance patient safety management competence be emphasizing the experience of patient safety accidents and reporting medical errors as well as improving the attitude and confidence of the students.
