  • Let T > 0 be given. Let $(C[0,T],m_{\varphi})$ be the analogue of Wiener measure space, associated with the Borel proba-bility measure ${\varphi}$ on ${\mathbb{R}}$, let $(L_{2}[0,T],\tilde{\omega})$ be the centered Gaussian measure space with the correlation operator $(-\frac{d^{2}}{dx^{2}})^{-1}$ and ${\el}_2,\;\tilde{m}$ be the abstract Wiener measure space. Let U be the space of all sequence $<c_{n}>$ in ${\el}_{2}$ such that the limit $lim_{{m}{\rightarrow}\infty}\;\frac{1}{m+1}\;\sum{^{m}}{_{n=0}}\;\sum_{k=0}^{n}\;c_{k}\;cos\;\frac{k{\pi}t}{T}$ converges uniformly on [0,T] and give a set function m such that for any Borel subset G of $\el_2$, $m(\mathcal{U}\cap\;P_{0}^{-1}\;o\;P_{0}(G))\;=\tilde{m}(P_{0}^{-1}\;o\;P_{0}(G))$. The goal of this note is to study the relationship among the measures $m_{\varphi},\;\tilde{\omega},\;\tilde{m}$ and $m$.

코너부 곡률을 고려한 선박용 파이프 루프 설계식 개발 (Development of Design Formulas for Pipe Loops Used in Ships Considering the Curvature of Corners)

  • Many longitudinally arranged pipes in ships are subject to considerable displacement loads caused by the hull girder bending of ships and/or thermal loads in some special pipes through which fluids with highly abnormal temperatures are conveyed. As these loads may cause failure in the pipes or their supporting structures, loops have been widely adopted as a measure to prevent such failure, with the idea that they can lower the stress level in a pipe by absorbing some portion of these loads. But since such loops have some negative effects, such as causing extra manufacturing cost and occupying extra space, the number and dimensions of the loops need to be minimized. This research developed design formulas for pipe loops, modeling them as a spring element, for which the axial stiffness is calculated based on the beam theory, incorporating the effects of the curvature of loop corners and the flexibility of the straight portion of the pipe. The accuracy of the proposed design formulas was verified by comparing two results respectively obtained by the proposed formulas and MSC/NASTRAN. The paper ends with a sample application of the proposed formulas showing their efficiency.

유한체상의 제곱근과 세제곱근을 찾는 알고리즘과 그 응용 (Square and Cube Root Algorithms in Finite Field and Their Applications)

  • Tonelli-Shanks 알고리즘을 변형한 새로운 알고리즘을 통해 효율적으로 제곱근 및 세제곱근을 찾을 수 있는 방법을 연구하였다. 이 논문에서 소개하는 제곱근을 찾는 알고리즘은 Number Field Sieve에 응용할 수 있다. 큰 합성수를 인수분해하는데 가장 효율적인 알고리즘으로 알려진 Number Field Sieve (NFS)는 법 N에 대하여 공통근을 갖는 두 다항식 선택한 후에, sieving, linear algebra, square root 단계를 차례대로 거친다. NFS의 마지막 단계에서는 수체(Number Field)상에서 제곱근을 구하는 과정이 필요한데 이를 유한체(Finite Field)상으로 내려서 계산한 후 CRT(Chinese Remainder Theorem)을 이용하여 수체 상에서의 제곱근으로 복원하는 과정에서 제안된 알고리즘이 사용될 수 있다.

  • A measurable function f defined on a measurable subset A of the real line R is called pth power summable on A if │f│$^{p}$ is integrable on A and the set of all pth power summable functions on A is denoted by L$^{p}$ (A). For each member f in L$^{p}$ (A), we define ∥f∥$_{p}$ =(equation omitted) For real numbers p and q where (equation omitted) and (equation omitted), we discuss the Holder's inequality ∥fg∥$_1$<∥f∥$_{p}$ ∥g∥$_{q}$ , f$\in$L$^{p}$ (A), g$\in$L$^{q}$ (A) and the Minkowski inequality ∥+g∥$_{p}$ <∥f∥$_{p}$ +∥g∥$_{p}$ , f,g$\in$L$^{p}$ (A). In this paper also discuss that L$_{p}$ (A) becomes a metric space with the metric $\rho$ : L$^{p}$ (A) $\times$L$^{p}$ (A) longrightarrow R where $\rho$(f,g)=∥f-g∥$_{p}$ , f,g$\in$L$^{p}$ (A). Then, in this paper prove the Riesz-Fischer theorem, i.e., the space L$^{p}$ (A) is complete and that the space L$^{p}$ (A) is separable.

원자 현미경용 샘플 스캐너의 개발 (Development of a Sample Scanner for Atomic Force Microscope)

  • This paper shows a method for design of the nano-positioning planar scanner used in the scanning probe microscope. The planar scanner is composed of flexure guides, piezoelectric actuators and feedback sensors. In the design of flexure guides, the Castigliano's theorem was used to find the stiffness of the guide. The motion amplifying mechanism was used in the piezoelectric actuator to achieve a large travel range. We found theoretically the travel range of the total system and verified using the commercial FEM(Finite element method) program. The maximum travel range of the planar scanner is above than 140 $\mu$m. The 3 axis positioning capability was verified by the mode analysis using the FEM program. Moreover, we presented the actual AFM(Atomic Force Microscope) imaging results with up to 2Hz imaging scan rate. Experimental results show that the properties of the proposed planar scanner is well enough to be used in SPM applications like AFM.

ON n-ABSORBING IDEALS AND THE n-KRULL DIMENSION OF A COMMUTATIVE RING

  • Let R be a commutative ring with $1{\neq}0$ and n a positive integer. In this article, we introduce the n-Krull dimension of R, denoted $dim_n\;R$, which is the supremum of the lengths of chains of n-absorbing ideals of R. We study the n-Krull dimension in several classes of commutative rings. For example, the n-Krull dimension of an Artinian ring is finite for every positive integer n. In particular, if R is an Artinian ring with k maximal ideals and l(R) is the length of a composition series for R, then $dim_n\;R=l(R)-k$ for some positive integer n. It is proved that a Noetherian domain R is a Dedekind domain if and only if $dim_n\;R=n$ for every positive integer n if and only if $dim_2\;R=2$. It is shown that Krull's (Generalized) Principal Ideal Theorem does not hold in general when prime ideals are replaced by n-absorbing ideals for some n > 1.

Preliminary Results of Polarimetric Characteristics for C-band Quad-Polarization GB-SAR Images Using H/A/$\alpha$ Polarimetric Decomposition Theorem

  • The main objective of this study is to analyse the polarimetric characteristics of the various terrain targets by ground-based polarimetric SAR system and to confirm the compatible and effective polarimetric analysis method to reveal the polarization properties of different terrain targets by the GB-SAR. The fully polarimetric GB-SAR data with HH, HV, VH, and VV components were focused using the Deramp-FFT (DF) algorithm. The focused GB-SAR images were processed by the H/A/$\alpha$ polarimetric decomposition and the combined H/$\alpha$ or H/A/$\alpha$ and Wishart classification method. The segmented image and distribution graphs in H/$\alpha$ plane using Cloude and Pottier's method showed a reliable result that this quad-polarization GB-SAR data could be useful to classified corresponding scattering mechanism. The H/$\alpha$-Wishart and H/A/$\alpha$-Wishart classification results showed that a natural media and an artificial target were discriminated by the combined classification, in particular, after applying multi-looking and the Lee refined speckle filter.

시스템의 치명도 분석을 위한 고장영향확률 정량화 방안 연구 (A Study on the Quantitative Determination of Failure Effect Probability for Criticality Analysis on System)

  • The inter-development of FMECA is very important to assess the effect of potential failures during system operation on mission, safety and performance. Among these, criticality analysis is a core task that identifies items with high risk and selects the analyzed objects as the key management targets and reflects their effects to the design optimization. In this paper, we analyze the theory related to criticality analysis following US military standard, and propose a method to quantify the failure effect probability for objective criticality analysis. The criticality analysis according to the US military standard depends on the subjective judgment of the failure probability. The methodology for quantifying the failure effect probability is presented by using the reliability theory and the Bayes theorem. The failure rate is calculated by applying the method to quantify failure effect probability.

Environmental Noise Prediction using Scale Model: A Measurement Methodology

  • Today, rolling stock has become a fast and convenient mode of transportation and has witnessed increased demand. But the speed improvement has resulted in increased aerodynamic noise and therefore residential districts near the railroad tracks are exposed to ever increasing noise level. A study on methodologies for measuring and appraising rolling stock's environmental noise has therefore become an important area of endeavor. In the case of the environmental noise, there are no changes in tone so prediction can be made by reducing areas around the railway. The present study explores estimation of the noise around the railway using scale model, and the source of the noise has been investigated as well. The scale model of rolling stock will have to be able to measure high frequency noise and it is required to be generated in a short amount of time. Since popping a balloon or firing a gun fits this requirement the present study analyzed the characteristics of these two different noise sources. Measurement was made in a large vacant lot and the reflection due to the ground was also examined. The method proposed here can be used in the future for predicting the environmental noise of railway vehicles.

Here, V : ℝN → (0, ∞) is a potential function and h : ℝN × ℝ → ℝ is a Carathéodory function. The present paper is devoted to the existence of at least two distinct nontrivial solutions to quasilinear elliptic problems of Schrödinger type, which provides a concave-convex nature to the problem. The primary tools are the well-known mountain pass theorem and a variant of Ekeland's variational principle.
