The quasi-(${\theta}$, s)-continuity is a weakened form of the weak (${\theta}$, s)-continuity and equivalent to the weak quasi-continuity. The basic properties of those functions are investigated in concern with the other weakened continuous functions. It turns out that the open property of a function and the extremall disconnectedness of the spaces are crucial tools for the survey of these functions.

We introduce the concept of fuzzy S-weakly r-M-continuous functions on fuzzy r-minimal spaces, and investigate some characterizations of such functions and the relations between the continuity and fuzzy r-minimal compactness on fuzzy r-minimal spaces.

A construction method for continuous prestressed Composite Bridges(PCB's) is developed and successfully applied to the design of two-span continuous PCB's of five different span lengths. The construction of continuous PCB's goes through 17 different loading conditions. for each loading condition, the allowable stress design method is used to determine section properties. The analytical results of two-span continuous PCB's arc compared with those of simple PCB's. The comparison shows that the use of the proposed method can reduce 10-15 percents of the concrete section area and approximate 28 percents of the steel section area, as well as 5-8 percents of the girder height. The study indicates that the use of the proposed PCB's method can significantly reduce construction and maintenance costs of bridges.

A local convergence result is provided for the continuous analog of Newton's method in a Banach space setting. The radius of convergence is larger, the error bounds tighter, and under the same or weaker hypotheses than before [12].

In this paper, we compare Fisher's continuous method with an exact discrete analog of Fisher's continuous method from permutation tests for combining p values. The discrete analog of Fisher's continuous method is known to be adequate for combining independent p values from discrete probability distributions. Also permutation tests are widely used as alternatives to conventional parametric tests since these tests are distribution-free, and yield discrete probability distributions and exact p values. In this paper, we obtain permutation p values from discrete probability distributions using Mann-Whitney test data sets (real data and hypothetical data) and combine p values by the exact discrete analog of Fisher's continuous method.

In this paper, we introduce the concept of generalized fuzzy (r,s)-closed sets on intuitionistic fuzzy topological spaces in ${\v{S}ostak's$ sense. Using this concept, we introduce the notions of generalized fuzzy (r,s)-continuous mappings, and then we investigate some of their properties.

We introduce the concepts of fuzzy $(r,\;s)$-regular open sets and fuzzy almost $(r,\;s)$-continuous mappings on the intuitionistic fuzzy topological spaces in ${\check{S}}ostak^{\prime}s$ sense. Also we investigate the equivalent conditions of the fuzzy almost $(r,\;s)$-continuity.
