There is a tendency of using the resilient mounting system to control the structure born noise transimitted from a engine of which weight is comparatively light and of which speed is comparatively high. According to recent reports, the resilient mounting system is applied to control the vibration of a engine running up to 300 - 400 R.P.M.. Furthermore, the resilient system is also used to the ships such as marine exploring ships, fishing boats, and military vessels. It is not desirous to apply the results for the resilient mounting systems of automobile engines to the controls of the vibrations of marine engines. Marine engines are worked under the idle speed in port and are operated up to the maximum contineous revolution at sea(running up condition). And marine engines are usually worked in inevitable conditions such as a misfire and a cut-off cylinder operating condition. Concerning the above running conditions, a resilient mounting system should be designed in the case of marine engines. In this paper, we studied the effect of engine's misfire on the resilient mounting systems. And the influences of design parameters, such as dynamic characteristics and fitting angles of resilient rubber mountings, were also investigated respectively on the single and double resilient mounting systems.

Recently Intake noise has been extensively studied to reduce the engine noise. In order to diminish intake noise several resonators were added to the intake system. However this can cause a reduction of engine output power and an increase of fuel consumption. In this study, active noise control simulation of the Filtered-x LMS algorithm is applied real instrumentation intake noise data under rapid acceleration because intake noise is more excessively increased under the such a harsh condition. But the FXLMS algorithm has poor control performance when the system is disturbed. Thus modified FXLMS algorithm using L-point running average filter is developed to improve the control performance under the rapid acceleration and disturbance. The noise reduction quantity of modified Filtered-x LMS algorithm is more than original one in two cases. In the case of control for real instrumentation intake noise data, maximum residual noise of modified FXLMS algorithm is 2.5 times less than applied the FXLMS and also in the case of disturbed, the modified FXLMS algorithm shows excellent control performance but FXLMS algorithm cat not control.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of both various shoe types and bare feet on ground reaction force while walking. Ten first-year female university students were selected. A force platform(Kistler, Germany) was used to measure ground reaction force. Six types of shoe were tested: flip flops, canvas shoes, running shoes, elevated forefoot walking shoes, elevated midfoot walking shoes, and five-toed shoes. The control group was barefooted. Only vertical passive/active ground reaction force variables were analyzed. The statistical analysis was carried out using the SAS 9.1.2 package, specifically ANOVA, and Tukey for the post hoc. The five-toed shoe had the highest maximum passive force value; while the running shoe had the lowest. The first active loading rate for running shoes was the highest; meanwhile, bare feet, the five-toed shoe, and the elevated fore foot walking shoe was the lowest. Although barefoot movement or movement in five toed shoes increases impact, it also allows for full movement of the foot. This in turn allows the foot arch to work properly, fully flexing along three arches(transverse, lateral, medial), facilitating braking force and initiating forward movement as the tendons, ligaments, and muscles of the arch flex back into shape. In contrast movement in padded shoes have a tendency to pound their feet into the ground. This pounding action can result in greater foot instability, which would account for the higher loading rates for the first active peak for padded shoes.
The Light Rail Transit (LRT) System which has medium transport capacity between subway and bus(5,000-25,000 persons per hour) is the most advanced transportation system. It has many benefits, cheap construction, operational costs through driverless and flexible route planning. Also, the rubber tired AGT (K-AGT) of various LRT has a rubber wheels and side guide. The side guide type has an many advantages. but occur a vibration and friction noise through contact between guide rail and wheel. Most of point that decreased comport is vibration thorough the guide contact. In this paper, It is purpose to improve the maximum running speed of rubber tired AGT localization bogie which is currently developed from 70km/h to 80km/h. To satisfy comport index of railway vehicle that is required in performance test. we examined coefficient of bogie suspension which is designed.

It is common knowledge amongst electrical and marine engineers that short-circuit in electrical system may cause large mechanical torque on generator and prime mover However, it is not so widely known that the faulty synchronizing of generators may cause even higher torques than that of short-circuit. In this study, the transient phenomena related to the parallel running of synchronous generators are analyzed and the exact computer simulation method is proposed. In result, maximum transient torque and current take place in case of $120^{\circ}$ voltage angle difference between Master and Slave and that may develop higher torque than the short-circuit according to a condition of synchronizing. When synchronizing in power system using only two generators higher torque and current occur Master, but using multimachine system those occur to Slave. The short-circuit of marine generator does not happen frequently but faulty synchronizing sometimes takes place, therefore, it is necessary for designers to consider these phenomena.

The performance evaluation and deflection of 3 spans concrete simplicity slab bridge analyzed by non-destructive and loading test. Compressive strength of slab and pier appeared in the range of each 353∼366 kgf/$cm^2$ and 152∼215 kgf/$cm^2$ in rebound number test. Also, it appeared that concrete quality of slab was good after performance improvement. The average compressive strength of slab by core picking appeared 229 kg/$cm^2$. In reinforcing bar arrangement test of span and member, it appeared that horizontal and vertical reinforcing bar was arranged to fixed interval. The value of calculation deflection that carried structural analysis with deflection analysis wave in static loading test appeared higher than that of experimental deflection and it appeared that hardness of this bridge was good. Maximum impact factor that estimated from deflection by running speed in dynamic loading test appeared by 0.216 in 10 km/hr running speed.
Objective : A study and development of Korean Bobsleigh athletes's shoe which considers their physical condition has yet to be completed. So this study examines the effects of running shoes used by athletes based on plantar pressure and sprint time in order to provide raw data for the development of bobsleigh shoes suitable for Koreans. Method : The study selected seven bobsleigh athletes as subjects and selected three pairs of spiked running shoes from three companies, which will be referred to as Company N (Type A), Company A (Type B), and Company M (Type C). To analyze sprint time and plantar pressure for each shoe, the subject of the study were instructed to wear the selected shoes and to drag a sled at maximum sprint for 15 meters for 15 meters for in each condition that would be in real bobsleigh competitions. Results : The average sprint intervals for each athlete in each pair of shoes revealed Type C produce the fastest sprint in the order of Type C < Type A< Type B. Shoe Type C also had the largest contact area in order of Type C > Type B > Type A (p<.01). None of the three shoe types seem to yield a distinct advantage in terms of maximum average pressure or maximum pressure. Conclusion : In the future, functional analysis should be carried out by comparing the material properties, hardness, and toe spring of shoes based on the Type C shoe from Company M in order to develop bobsleigh shoes suitable for Koreans.

The purpose of this study was to analyze biomechanical factors of trail running shoes applied to korean shoe-lasts. 10 healthy male subjects with an average age of 37.2 years(SD=8.28), weight of 69.6 kg(SD=10.56) and a height of 171 cm(SD=4.93) were recruited for this study. Ten males walked on a treadmill wearing four different shoes. Foot pressure data was collected using a Pedar-X mobile system(Novel Gmbh., Germany) operating at the 1000 Hz. Surface EMG signals for tibialis anterior, gastrocnemius, vastus lateralis and biceps femoris were acquired at 1000 Hz using Noraxon TeleMyo DTS system(Noraxon Inc., USA). Foot pressure and leg muscle fatigue were measured and calculated during walking. The results are as follows: After walking 60 minutes, Type A showed a lower MPF. MPF values were significantly different from each muscle(p<.05). Therefore, Type A shoe might decrease muscle fatigue in the legs while walking. In addition, Type It showed that Type A shoe has the highest contact area and the lowest maximum pressure. As a result of the analysis, Trail running shoes will use a new design to reduce muscle fatigue and are expected to increase comfort and fitting.
The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has issued international standards for ship maneuverability and stability. These have been established to improve marine safety and influence the direction of research. The previous literature has been researched, but there are few studies on the relationship between ship maneuverability and stability. This study carried out a fundamental experiment to quantitatively evaluate that relationship. Radius of turn and maximum heel angle depending on changing were analyzed through a turning test using a free running model ship. The test results show the change tendency of decreasing turn radius and increasng maximum heel angle according to a GM decrease. A rough estimate equation is proposed to predict the change tendency on radius of turn and angle of maximum heel as GM decreases. Many ships can suddenly experience reduced GM due to unexpected reasons during sailing. The results in this study can be used as fundamental data to estimate a ship's tactical turn diameter and variable heel angle for steering as GM decreases.
