  • This paper describes the design and implementation of a XCP (Xeline Control Protocol) network system. XCP is an information oriented protocol which delivers information with high reliability according to the predefined rule. The XCP network system is implemented with partly hardware and partly software based on the power line communication(PLC) environment. A network management tool which interacts with devices is also developed. In order to verify the feasibility of the proposed architecture, the implemented XCP network system is evaluated using a lighting control system.

  • This paper is proposed maximum torque per ampere of induction motor using fuzzy-neural networks controller. Operation of maximum torque per ampere is achieved when, at a given torque and speed, the slip frequency is adjusted to that so that the stator current amplitude is minimized. This paper introduces a induction motor drive system with fuzzy-neural networks controller. A neural network-based architecture is described for fuzzy logic control. The characteristic rule and their membership function of fuzzy system are represented as the processing nodes in the neural network structure. This paper is proposed the analysis as well as the simulation results to verify the effectiveness of the new method.

  • The success of a fuzzy neural network(FNN) control system solving any given problem critically depends on the architecture of the network. Various attempts have been made in optimizing its structure using genetic algorithm automated designs. This paper presents a new approach to structurally optimized designs of FNN models. A messy genetic algorithm is used to obtain structurally optimized FNN models. Structural optimization is regarded important before neural networks based learning is switched into.   • 본 논문에서는 실시간으로 상수 및 변수의 병렬 매칭이 가능한 새로운 구조의 하드웨어 기반 룰-베이스시스템 구조를 제안한다. 이 시스템은 context-aware computing 시스템에서 상황 인식을 위한 기법으로 적용될 수 있다. 제안된 구조는 기존의 하드웨어 기반의 구조가 가지는 룰의 표현 및 룰의 구성에서 발생하는 제약을 상당히 감소시킬 수 있다. 이를 위해 변형된 형태의 content addressable memory(CAM)와 crossbar switch network(CSN)가 사용되었다. 변형된 형태의 CAM으로 구성된 지식-베이스는 동적으로 데이터의 추가 및 삭제가 가능하다. 또한 CSN은 input buffer와 working memory(WM) 사이에 위치하여, 시스템 외부 및 내부에서 동적으로 생성되거나, 시스템 설정에 의해 지정된 데이터들의 조합 및 pre-processing module(PPM)을 이용한 연산을 통하여 WM을 구성하는 데이터를 생성시킨다. 이 하드웨어 룰-베이스 시스템은 SystemC 2.0을 이용하여 설계하였으며 시뮬레이션을 통하여 그 동작을 검증하였다.

  • 이 논문에서는 규칙 기반 시스템의 문제에 대한 뛰어난 표현력과 빠른 추론 등의 장점을 BDI 에이전트 구조에 적절히 반영할 수 있는 규칙 기반 BDI 에이전트 구조를 제안한다. 제안하는 구조에서는 에이전트의 능력과 계획을 이해하기 쉬운 if-then 규칙으로 기술하고, 에이전트 상태를 믿음,목적,의도 집합으로 표현하여 이를 기반으로 어떤 규칙을 실행할 것인가를 결정한다. 절차적 지식에 해당되는 규칙계획의 실행을 독립적인 규칙 엔진이 담당하기 때문에 진행 중인 작업의 컨텍스트를 유지할 수 있고, 컨텍스트가 다른 여러 작업을 동시에 처리할 수 있다. 또한, STRIPS 연산자로 자연스럽게 변환 가능한 규칙을 이용하여 계획생성이 가능하고, 생성된 계획을 규칙으로 추가하여 점진적으로 에이전트 능력을 향상시킬 수 있다. 제안하는 에이전트 구조는 규칙 기반의 BDI 모델을 따르기 때문에 동적인 환경에서 반응성과 목표 지향성을 충족할 뿐만 아니라 에이전트의 지식 표현과 구축 및 제어 구조가 간단한 에이전트 구축이 가능하다.

  • Because of not accepted on escape using elevators in fire emergency has some background. In the background elevator hoistway has turn into smoke spread route in fire. The escape that used an elevator was not able to make ends meet; of the big confusion is expected that cannot control the escape adequately, and do that elevator facilities breakdown possibility by the fire water, the escaper shut in car. Therefore ban on elevator service in fire time as a general rule. Recently, a few company promote super high-rise architecture in the country, a fire disaster prevention and human life safety measures preparation for PBD(A Performance Based Fire Protection Design) are studied concretely. And there is the escape example in fire time that used an elevator in the foreign country. You must promote it so that the escape measures that used enclosed stairway and an elevator in charge of a function of the mutual supplement. The result of this research can be used for establishing the standard and regulation for using elevators in fire emergency.

  • Multilayer perceptrons(MLPs) or feed-forward neural networks are widely applied to many areas based on their function approximation capabilities. When implementing MLPs for application problems, we should determine various parameters and training methods. In this paper, we discuss the design of MLPs especially for pattern classification problems. This discussion includes how to decide the number of nodes in each layer, how to initialize the weights of MLPs, how to train MLPs among various error functions, the imbalanced data problems, and deep architecture.

  • Car navigation system is one of the most important applications in telematics. A newest trend of car navigation system is using real video captured by camera equipped on the vehicle, because video can overcome the semantic gap between map and real world. In this paper, we suggest a visual car navigation system that visually represents navigation information or route guidance. It can improve drivers' understanding about real world by capturing real-time video and displaying navigation information overlaid on it. Main services of the visual car navigation system are graphical turn guidance and lane change guidance. We suggest the system architecture that implements the services by integrating conventional route finding and guidance, computer vision functions, and augmented reality display functions. What we designed as a core part of the system is visual navigation controller, which controls other modules and dynamically determines visual representation methods of navigation information according to a determination rule based on current location and driving circumstances. We briefly show the implementation of system.

  • There is an increasing interest in high-speed signal processing in modern telecommunication and consumer electronics applications. HDTV, ISDN. A limiting factor in Op-Amp based analog integrated circuits is the limited useful frequency range. This research program will develop a new CMOS Op-Amp architecture with improved gainband width product. The new design CMOS Op-Amp will achieve up to 100MHz unity gainband width with a 1.5-micron design rule.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop improved boom structures with reliable fatigue strength of weldment and lower production cost. For that purpose, multi-body dynamic analysis was performed to evaluate forces acting on arm & boom cylinders and joints of boom structure during operation of an excavator for three working postures, then stress analysis was made to investigate stress distribution around diaphragms at the bottom plate of boom structures which was known to be susceptible to fatigue failures of welded joints, and finally boom structures with optimum arrangement of diaphragms was proposed. This work mainly consists of the following two parts: part 1 focuses on multi-body dynamic analysis of excavators during operation and part 2 includes evaluations of fatigue strength of welded joints for modified boom structures.
