DTW를 이용한 유도전동기 베어링 및 회전자봉 고장진단 (Fault Detection and Diagnosis of Faulty Bearing and Broken Rotor Bar of Induction Motors Based on Dynamic Time Warping)

  • The issues of preventive and condition-based maintenance, online monitoring, system fault detection, diagnosis and prognosis are of increasing importance. This study introduces a technique to detect and identify faults in induction motors. Stator currents were measured and stored by time domain. The time domain is not suitable for representing current signals, so wavelet transform is used to convert the signals onto frequency domain. The raw signals can not show the significant feature, therefore difference values between the signal of the health conditions and that of the fault conditions are applied. The difference values were transformed by wavelet transform and the features are extracted from the transformed signals. The dynamic time warping method was used to identify the fault type. This study describes the results of detecting fault using wavelet analysis.

  • One of the obstacles for a magnetic bearing to be used in the wide range of industrial applications is the failure modes associated with magnetic bearings. These failure modes include power amplifier faults, position sensor faults, and the malfunction of controllers. Fault-tolerant magnetic bearing systems have been proposed so that the system can operate in spite of some faults. In this paper, we designed and tested a fault-tolerant magnetic bearing system. The system can cope with the actuator faults as well as the faults in position sensors, which are the two major fault modes in a magnetic bearing system.

  • This study suggests a modeling of grid-connected wind power generation system that has induction generator, and aims to perform simulations for outputs by the variation of actual wind speed and for fault current of wind generation system by the transformer winding connection. This study is implemented by matlab&simulink. The simulation shall be performed by assuming single line to ground fault generated in the system. Generator power, rotor speed, terminal voltage, system voltage, and fault current shall be observed following the performance of simulation. The fault current change will be dealt through the simulation results for fault current of wind generation system following the grid-connected transformer winding connection and the simulation result by the transformer neutral ground method.

  • The faults of the squirrel cage induction motor is grew increasingly complex as the faults resulting in the shorting of a stator winding and the broken rotor bar or cracked rotor end ring, bearing faults, and so on. The users of electrical machines initially relied on simple protections such as over-current, over-voltage, earth-fault, etc. to ensure safe and reliable operation. but this method cause heavy financial losses and the threat of safety therefore it has now become very important to diagnose faults at there very inception. in this paper, we are going to discuss the detection method of broken rotor bar of squirrel cage induction motor by the motor current signal analysis(MCSA) and the opening terminal voltage signal analysis.

  • This paper describes the effects of rotor-bar broken in induction machines. The analysis has been made on 7.5kW, 4P, 1,768[rpm], three-phase induction motors in a healthy and broken-rotor bars fault conditions at rated loading conditions. The effects of the rotor-bar broken, magnetic force are investigated by finite element method (FEM) and experiment. The results can be useful for real-time on-line monitoring of an induction motor.

  • 벡터제어와 직접토크제어는 유도전동기를 위한 고성능 제어기법으로서 매우 잘 알려져 있으며, 이들 제어알고리즘을 이용하여 속도 혹은 위치제어를 수행하기 위해서는 전동기의 속도와 회전자 자속 혹은 고정자 자속에 대한 정보가 필요하다. 일반적으로 속도는 엔코더를 이용하여 측정하고, 회전자 흑은 고정자 자속은 전동기의 파라미터와 측정된 전류에 근거하여 추정된다. 제어시스템에서 센서 고장이 발생하면 잘못된 제어 입력이 생성되며 결과적으로 전체 시스템의 제어성능이 감퇴되는 원인이 될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 유도전동기 드라이브 시스템에서 센서고장이 전동기변수 및 제어시스템의 성능에 미치는 영향을 해석적인 방법과 시뮬레이션에 의하여 분석한다. 제시된 분석결과는 유도전동기 드라이브의 신뢰성 향상을 위한 고장검출식별 기법의 개발시 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • The predictive maintenance can help to avoid the serious plant breakdowns and catastrophies. This paper deals with the fault diagnosis of the rotor of the induction motor which is widely used in the plants. In order to detect the broken bar, the Extended Kalman Filter is adopted to estimate the rotor resistance on the base of model-based method. The proposed estimation method is simulated with the aid of Matlab.

  • Mobile computing devices are becoming increasingly prevalent in a huge range of physical area, offering a considerable market opportunity. The focus of this paper is on the development of a platform of fault diagnosis system integrating with personal digital assistant (PDA). An improvement of induction machine rotor fault diagnosis based on AI algorithms approach is presented. This network system consists of two parts; condition monitoring and fault diagnosis by using Artificial Intelligence algorithm. LabVIEW allows easy interaction between acquisition instrumentation and operators. Also it can easily integrate AI algorithm. This paper presents a development environment fur intelligent application for PDA. The introduced configuration is a LabVIEW application in PDA module toolkit which is LabVIEW software.

  • 전력계통에서의 풍력 발전의 설치가 증가하면서 사고 발생시 전체 계통에 대한 신뢰도 및 안정도에 영향을 미친다. 이를 고려한 Fault Ride Through 제어 기법은 보다 안정적인 계통운영을 위한 방안이다. 최근 대부분의 풍력발전시스템은 이중여자 유도형 발전시스템(DFIG)이 설치되는데, 이는 전력변환장치를 이용한 유효 및 무효 전력 제어가 가능한 가변속 풍력발전시스템이다. 본 논문은 PSCAD/EMTDC를 통해 DFIG를 모델링하고 Crow Bar와 Rotor Side Converter의 연계 제어를 이용한 Fault Ride Through 제어 기법을 시뮬레이션 결과를 통해 확인 하였다.

  • A fuzzy inference logic system is proposed for gas turbine engine fault isolation. The gas path measurements used for fault isolation are exhaust gas temperature, low and high rotor speed, and fuel flow. The fuzzy inference logic uses rules developed from a model of performance influence coefficients to isolate engine faults while accounting for uncertainty in gas path measurements. Inputs to the fuzzy inference logic system are measurement deviations of gas path parameters which are transferred directly from the ECM(Engine Control Monitoring) program and outputs are engine module faults. The proposed fuzzy inference logic system is tested using simulated data developed from the ECM trend plot reports and the results show that the proposed fuzzy inference logic system isolates module faults with high accuracy rate in the environment of high level of uncertainty.
