In order to develop concrete generating compressive strength of 15MPa~30MPa aging for 6~12 hours in the room temperature curing, Hardening accelerator containing Ca2+ mixed with rapid hardening portland cement containing C3S in quantity. The result was that the more addictive contents of Hardening accelerator is, the more greatly early compressive strength was improved. That s because the composition of Ca(OH)2 was mass-produced at early-ages.
Recently, various nanoparticles have been used for filler in polymer matrices. The particles of nano size are whether high or not cross-link density in polymer affects the thermal and mechanical properties of one. The properties change as a result of chemical reactions between the nanoparticles and the surface of the polymer. There are two models for nanocomposites: "repulsive interaction" and "attractive interaction" between the nanoparticles and matrix. In this study, the variation in the curing mechanism was examined when nano-size $TiO_2$ was dispersed into an epoxy (Bisphenol A, YD-128) with different curing agents. The results of this study showed that the exothermic temperature and Tg in the case of the nanoparticles used (Jeffamine) (D-180) at room temperature were reduced by an increase in the $TiO_2$ contents because of the "repulsive interaction" between the nanoparticles and the matrix. The tensile strengths were increased by increasing amounts of $TiO_2$ until 3 wt% because of a dispersion strengthening effect caused by the nanoparticles, because of the repulsive interaction. However, such tensile properties decreased at 5 wt% of $TiO_2$, because the $TiO_2$ was agglomerated in the epoxy. In contrast, in the case of the nanoparticles that used NMA and BDMA, the exothermic temperature and Tg tended to rise with increasing amounts of $TiO_2$ as a result of the "attractive interaction." This was because the same amounts of $TiO_2$ were well dispersed in the epoxy. The tensile strength decreased with an increase in the $TiO_2$ contents. In the general attractive interaction model, however, the cross-link density was higher, and tensile strength tended to increase. Therefore, for the nanoparticles that used NMA, it was difficult to conclude that the result was caused by the "attractive model."
The purpose of this study was to prepare lightweight foamed concrete by mixing coal fly ash of circulating fluidized bed combustion(CFBC) with cement, and to develop uses for recycling by analyzing carbonation behavior resulting from a change in conditions for pressurized carbonation. For concrete, CFBC coal fly ash was mixed with Portland cement to the water-binder ratio of 0.5, and aging was applied at room temperature after 3 days of curing at $20^{\circ}C$, RH 60%. For carbonation, temperature was fixed at $60^{\circ}C$ and time at 1 h in the use of autoclave. Pressures were controlled to be $5kgf/cm^2$ and the supercritical condition of $80kgf/cm^2$, and gas compositions were employed as $CO_2$ 100% and $CO_2$ 15%+N2 85%. In the characteristics of produced lightweight concrete, the characteristics of lightweight foamed concrete resulting from carbonation reaction were affirmed through rate of weight change, carbonation depth test, air permeability, and processing analysis for the day 28 specimen. Based on these results, it is concluded that the present approach could provide a viable method for mass production of eco-friendly lightweight foamed concrete from CFBC coal fly ash stabilized by carbonation.

The objectives of this study is to investigate the optimum reaction conditions and to identify the product formula in the synthesis of a silicone/acrylic resin that curing in moisture at room temperature. By the addition polymerization of monomers, n-butyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate, n-butyl methacrylate, and 3-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane. a quarter polymer was obtained. Among various initiators investigated in this study, 2.2'-azobisisobutyronitrille was found to be the most suitable initiator. The optimum reaction conditions found in this study are 70 wt% of initial solvent amount, 120 minutes of dropping time, 3 times of initiator addition, $82{\sim}105^{\circ}C$ of reaction temperature, and 8 hrs of reaction time. Also, number average molecular weight of $11700{\sim}33100$ and molecular weight distribution of $1.81{\sim}3.44$ were obtained.
The Thermally Stimulated Current(TSC) spectroscopy has been applied to study the influence of the structual cahange and interface on the electrical properties of epoxy composites. Three DGEBA-MeTHPA matrix model samples mixed different ratios and silica($SiO_2$) filled sample and silaln treating-filled sample has been studied. Above room temperature, the relaxation mode $\alpha$ peak associated with Tg has been located at $110^{\circ}C$. Below glass transition temperature(Tg), three relaxation modes are observed in all samples: a $\beta$ mode situated at $10^{\circ}C$, a $\gamma$ mode located at $-40^{\circ}C$ and a $\delta$ mode appeared in $-120^{\circ}C$. The analysis of its fine structure indicates that constitution of elementary processes is characterized by the activation energy and relaxation time. Also the dielectric relaxation properties have been investigated to compare the the change of the molecular structure and motion to the relaxation properties and conduction mechanism in TSC spectra.
Geopolymer concrete (GPC), which is recognised as an environmentally friendly alternative to ordinary Portland cement (OPC) concrete, has been reported to possess high fire resistance. However, very limited research has been conducted to investigate the behaviour of geopolymer concrete-filled steel tubular (GCFST) columns at either ambient or elevated temperatures. This paper presents the compressive test results of a total of 15 circular concrete-filled steel tubular (CFST) stub columns, including 5 specimens tested at room temperature, 5 specimens tested at elevated temperatures and the remaining 5 specimens tested for residual strength after exposure to elevated temperatures. The main variables in the test program include: (a) concrete type; (b) concrete strength; and (c) curing condition of geopolymer concrete. The test results demonstrate that GCFST columns have similar ambient temperature behaviour compared with the conventional CFST counterparts. However, GCFST columns exhibit better fire resistance than the conventional CFST columns. Meanwhile, it is found that the GCFST column made with heat cured GPC has lower strength loss than other columns after exposure to elevated temperatures. The research results highlight the possibility of using geopolymer concrete to improve the fire resistance of CFST columns.

Damaged wind turbine blades are repaired conventionally using a hand lay-up method with epoxy, where the bonding strength is not high. Epoxy has poor curing characteristics at low temperatures. The infusion method with polyester was proposed. Infusion method is believed to distribute resin uniformly. Polyester is used because it hardens better than epoxy at low temperatures. At room temperature, the proposed method increased the bonding strength by 77.7% compared to the conventional method. Using the proposed method at 15 and $5^{\circ}C$, the bonding strength increased compared to the conventional method. This paper proposes a new method for repairing wind turbine blades, even at temperatures where the conventional method cannot be used because epoxy resin does not harden. The bonding strength of the proposed method at low temperatures is higher than that of the conventional method at room temperature.

Autopolymerized resin facilitates a more rapid and easier means for the construction of removable orthodontic appliances than heat cured resin. But many reports reveal that more unreacted monomer is found in autopolymerized resin. It is very important to achieve maximum degree of polymerization because if polymerization is inadequate, high level of unreacted monomer has been shown to adversely affect mechanical and physical properties, and also the question of allergy or toxicity to methylmethacrylate must be considered. The purpose of this study was to compare the degree of polymerization according to curing method and curing time. Five groups were desinged ; Group 1 was polymerizied at room temperature($28^{\circ}C$) ; Group 2 in $28^{\circ}C$ water ; Group 3 in $28^{\circ}C$ water under 30psi pressure ; Group 4 in $43^{\circ}C$ water ; Group 5 in $43^{\circ}C$ water under 30psi pressure for 10 minutes, 1 hour 12 hours, 1 day and 3 days. The degree of polymerization was measured by means of Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy. The results were as follows: 1. The degree of polymerization increased constantly in accordance with curing time in all groups and after curing for 10 minutes, Group 1 showed significantly higher degree of polymerization after 12 hours and Group 2, Group 3, Group 4, Group 5 after 1 hour(p<0.05). 2. The degree of polymerization decreased in the order of Group 5, Group 4, Group 3, Group 2, Group 1 except when the curing time was 1 hour and 12 hours(p<0.05). 3. The degree of polymerization of Group 4, Group 5 cured at $43^{\circ}C$ showed significantly higher degree of polymerization than Group 2, Group 3 at $28^{\circ}C$ except when the curing time was 1 day(p<0.05). 4. Among Group 2, Group 3 and Group 4, Group 5, the pressure had no effect on polymerization except when the curing time was 12 hours(p<0.05). 5. Between Group 1 and Group 2, the method of storage had no effect on polymerization except when the curing time was 1 hour(p<0.05).

The effects of the type of curing agent on the swelling of the natural rubber(NR) sponge applicable to the self-sealing layer of a helicopter fuel tank were investigated. The curing systems employed were peroxide and mixed ones of sulfur and peroxide. The NR compounds were prepared in a kneader and a roll-mill. The compounds were partially cured in a press at high pressure and subsequently cured fully with expansion in another press at atmospheric pressure. The apparent density of the NR sponge was measured and the cell structure was observed with scanning electron microscopy. The swelling experiments were performed at room temperature using toluene, iso-octane, and an aircraft fuel as a solvent. More rapid volume swelling of the NR sponge cured by peroxide was achieved than cured by sulfur and peroxide with similar amount of curing agent added in rubber compounds. The apparent density and cell structure of the sponge were extremely sensitive to the amount of peroxide, which influences again the swelling behavior of the NR sponge. It is important to control properly two reactions of decomposition of foaming agent and crosslinking of NR in the mold to obtain rapid swelling of the NR sponge on contact of the fuel.
