In this paper, we propose new algorithms to construct video object planes(VOP’s) for MPEG-4. VOP’s allow the new video standard MPEG-4 to enable content-based funtionalities. A comprehensive review summarizes some of the most important VOP’s generation techniques that have been proposed. The proposed algorithm use segmentation technique as labeling and motion estimation as three-step search algorithm(TSS). It is improved by a labeling technique that distinguishes background and object from a frame.

In long tunnel If we reduce the length of system height on catenary system, tunnel construction cost is cut down. It is because of tunnel section curtailment. So that we have review reduction of system height according to tunnel section. We have designed reduction of system height considered characteristics of overhead contact systems within UIC 799 code.

The review was conducted to organize the desirable salting process from the literatures. In this study the principle of salting and effects of physicochemical changes in salting and salting factors such as cultivars of baechu(Chinese cabbage), concentration of salt, salting temperature, pH condition for salting and quality of kimchi were studied. The method of salting standard, treatment techniques in salting, and selection and mixture ratio of sub-ingredients were also reviewed. In future studies greater attention should be paid to salting and fermentation of kimchi.

QS-9000 was established by Chrysler, Ford, General Motors and some Truck Manufactures to solve problems of efforts to prepare original standards for each company. When we compare the requirements in QS-9000 with those in ISO 9000, we may observe that those of QS-9000 are more specific, since the user of the standard is limited to the automobile industry. In particular, the requirements on statistical techniques are described in more detail. In this paper, we present the requirements on statistical techniques in QS-9000. Specifically, we review the contents of QS-9000 and explore the philosophy and the minimum requirement on statistical techniques behind the description.

Infant formula is classified into standard cow's milk-based and special formulas. This review aimed at summarizing the types of special milk formulas currently sold in Korea, and the appropriate indications for the use of these formulas; lactose free formula, soy-based formula, protein hydrolysate formula, amino acid-based formula, preterm formula, medium chain triglyceride formula, low-phosphorus formula, protein-energy-enriched formula, and formulas for inborn errors of metabolism.

Images taken from airplanes, satellites and drones have been used in various realms, and the kinds and specifications of images are enlarged gradually. Despite the importance of images on diverse applications, the quality information of the images is controlled by each agency or institute respectively without any principle, or even is neglected, because the application of standards to the final products of image is not easy in Korea. We aim to review necessities and strategies for applying international standards on image and to suggest potential issues and possibilities to make standards in action.

Endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) is becoming a standard method for invasive mediastinal staging and for the diagnosis of paratracheal and peribronchial lesions. It is essential to understand the technical aspects of EBUS-TBNA to ensure safe and efficient procedures. In this review, we discuss the practical aspects to be considered during EBUS-TBNA, including anesthesia, manipulation of equipment, understanding mediastinal ultrasound images, target selection, number of aspirations needed per target, sample handling, and complications.

To consider current concepts of epilepsy further, the brief review begins with a discussion of what is epilepsy, discribes multifactorial nature of epileptic disorders, and ends with a presentation of current classifications. A combination of the standard antiepielptic drugs(AEDs) may be necessary to treat intractable seizures, but no studies have been done to indicate an optimal combination. The new AEDs provide alternative choices, but questions remain about the optimal timing and manner of administration. AEDs selection must individualized, no drug of choice can be named for all patients.

Recently Korean Industrial Standards has been revised and established newly accordance with the ISO system, especially ISO 140 series. This study aims to introduce and review ISO l1654 which contents rating of sound absorption. It is available to establish appropriate evaluating method and Korean Industrial Standard of the sound absorber for use in building.

In this study, the ISO 15186-1 “Measurement of sound insulation in buildings and of building elements using sound intensity - Part 1 : Laboratory conditions” was reviewed in order to make it as a new Korean Industrial Standard. Several main contents are discussed.
