Fe-Ni-C합금과 저융점 순금속의 상변태에 미치는 압력의 영향 (The Effect of Pressure on the Phase Transformation in Fe-Ni-C Alloy and Pure Metals)

  • Fe-30Ni-0.35C 합금과 몇가지 저융점 순금속의 상변태에 미치는 압력의 영향에 대하여 PDSC를 이용하여 조사하였다. Fe-30Ni-0.35C 합금의 오스폼트 마르텐사이트 및 마르폼드 마르텐사이트 오스테나이트로 역변태시 압력이 1 기압에서 60기압으로 증가하에 따라. $A_s$점이 약 $2~4^{\circ}C$ 저하하며, 이것은 상전이시의 체적변화가 음의 값이 되기 때문이다. 또한 $A_f$ 점은 압력이 증가함에 따라 변함없이 일정하거나 매우 미소한 상승을 나타내는데, 이것은 압력이 증가할수록 탄화물의 석출이 촉진되기 때문이다. Fe-30Ni-0.35C 합금의 오스폼드 마르텐사이트의 역변태시 엔탈피변화는 압력이 1 기압에서 60기압으로 상승함에 따라 10~14J/g 증가한다. 순금속 Se, Sn, Pb, Zn, Te 등의 용융점은 압력이 1기압에서 60기압으로 증가함에 따라 매우 완만하게 상승하며, 용융시의 엔탈피변화는 압력의 증가에 따라 거의 변화가 없거나 미소 증가를 나타낸다.

  • 팽나무버섯 ${\beta}-isopropylmalate$ dehydrogenase의 유전자가 PBR322에 크로닝된 백터를 이용하여 사철느타리버섯 Leucine 영양요구성 균주를 형질전환 시켰다. 형질전환율은 저조하였으나 형질전환된 균총은 버섯 최소배지에서 다소 느리지만 생육할 수 있었다. 형질전환은 Southern hybridization과 형질 전환된 사철 느타리버섯 염색체 DNA를 다시 대장균에 형질전환시켜 확인하였다.

  • A wide range of grain size was achieved in a Fe-Cr-Mn austenitic stainless steel (STS) by cold rolling and reversion annealing. The tensile characteristics of the STS were analyzed in terms of the dependence of strain induced martensitic (SIM) transformation on the grain size. In the ultrafine grain regime, the steel showed a high yield strength over 1 GPa, a discontinuous yielding, and a prolonged yield point elongation followed by considerable strain hardening. By increasing the grain size, the discontinuous yielding diminished and the yield point elongation decreased. The microstructural examination revealed that these tensile characteristics are closely related to the suppression of SIM transformation with decreasing the grain size. Especially, the prolonged yield point elongation of the ultrafine grained STS was found to be associated with development of unidirectional ε martensite bands. Based on the microstructural examination of the deformed microstructures, the rationalization of the grain size dependence of SIM transformation was suggested.

Rapid Prototyping and Reverse Engineering Application for Orthopedic Surgery Planning

  • This paper describes rapid prototyping (RP) and reverse engineering (RE) application for orthopedic surgery planning to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the orthopedic surgery. Using the symmetrical characteristics of the human body, CAD data of undamaged bone of the injured area are generated from a mirror transformation of undamaged bone data for the uninjured area. The physical model before the injury is manufactured from Poly jet RP process. The surgical plan, including the selection of the proper implant, pre-forming of the implant and decision of fixation positions, etc., is determined by a physical simulation using the physical model. In order to examine the applicability and efficiency of the surgical planning technology, two case studies, such as a distal tibia comminuted fracture and an iliac wing fracture of pelvis, are carried out. From the results of the examination, it has been shown that the RP and RE can be applied to orthopedic surgical planning and can be an efficient surgical tool.

  • In this paper, we develop an algorithm of soccer image sequences mosaicing using reverse affine transform. The continuous mosaic images of soccer ground field allows the user/viewer to view a “wide picture” of the player’s actions The first step of our algorithm is to automatic detection and tracking player, ball and some lines such as center circle, sideline, penalty line and so on. For this purpose, we use the ground field extraction algorithm using color information and player and line detection algorithm using four P-rules and two L-rules. The second step is Affine transform to map the points from image to model coordinate using predefined and pre-detected four points. General Affine transformation has many holes in target image. In order to delete these holes, we use reverse Affine transform. We tested our method in real image sequence and the experimental results are given.

  • This paper intents to suggest the re-engineering methodology to transform and integrate the legacy systems to new system in modern environment. While existing reverse engineering and re-engineering approaches have focused on analyzing and maintaining the source code of program. our methodology can provide the procedures and techniques for evolving into new system by recovering the reverse engineering informations and transforming them into component informations. Our methodology for componentization of legacy system is consisted of plan step, reverse engineering step, componentization step, and delivery step, and we describes activities and detail procedures about each step.

  • The mechanical and phase transformation of the cold isostatically pressed $\alpha$-SiC ceramic were investigated as a function of the sintering temperature. The result of phase analysis by XRD revealed 6H, 4H, 3C and phase transformation between 6H and 4H showed a sudden change over 200$0^{\circ}C$. However, the alongrightarrow$\beta$ reverse transformation did not occur to any sintering temperature. The relative density and the mechanical properties of $\alpha$-SiC ceramic was increased with increased sintering temperature. The flexural strength rapidly inclosed below 210$0^{\circ}C$ and showed the highest value of 410 MPa at 220$0^{\circ}C$. This reason is because crack was propagated through surface flaw. The fracture toughness showed the highest value of 3.3 MPa.m$_{1}$2/ at 220$0^{\circ}C$.

Fe-Ni-C합금의 고온물성에 미치는 가공열처리의 영향 (The Effect of Thermomechanical Treatment on the High Temperature Properties in Fe-Ni-C Alloy)

  • The effect of thermomechanical treatment on thermal expantion and melting point of Fe-30%Ni-0.35%C alloy was investigated. The dimention changes of the ausformed martensite and the marformed martensite were decreased with increasing deformation degree in the range of $25{\sim}350^{\circ}C$ prior to reverse transformation but became larger in the range of $500{\sim}800^{\circ}C$ after the reverse transformation. The dimension change and the thermal expansion coefficient were reduced in the order of the deformed austenite, the marformed martensite and the ausformed martensite in the range of $25{\sim}800^{\circ}C$. Therefore, the ausforming treatment is more effective than the marforming treatment in improving the heat-resistance. The melting points of the deformed austenite, the ausformed martensite and the marformed martensite were lowered as either the heating rate or the degree of deformation was increased.
