Reverse knowledge transfer has been an important research theme in the literature on multinational corporations (MNCs). This paper proposes major determinants of MNC headquarters' willingness to adopt and use marketing knowledge from their subsidiaries. We argue that the willingness will be jointly determined by both the headquarter's absorptive capacity and the focal subsidiary's transfer capacity and willingness to transfer. In addition, we argue that these capability and motivation effects are moderated by (1) institutional distance between home and the focal host country, (2) the need to unlearn existing routines, and (3) types of entry modes. This paper contributes to the reverse knowledge transfer literature by proposing the argument that both motivational and capability factors are likely to determine the MNC parents' willingness to adopt and use marketing knowledge from their subsidiaries.
This study explores the effect of the properties of digital infra on customer participation to explain how customers' initiatives impact the marketing process in the digital environment. Also the effect of the accumulated information through customers' information sharing on their initiatives in the marketing activities can be discovered. These effects can be better understood by developing comprehensive model and employing large sample empirical test. Study1 identifies the properties of digital infra which overcomes the limitations of off-line environment in customers' participation - Information openness, connectedness, community interaction and structure clarity - and how these properties activate customers' participation in the marketing process. Study2 shows the process structure of reverse marketing activities in the digital environment. These findings deliver the fact that customers' initiatives in the marketing activities will be accepted generally under the digital environment. Consequently, this study suggests some managerial implications for completely different marketing strategies in response to customers' initiatives in the marketing activities under the digital environment.

Although human beings have been able to lead the affluent life owing to industrialization and development of science and technology, as the result of this, the nature has be destroyed, energy consumption has been accelerated, urban area has got wide and the nature has got narrow. In the face of such critical situations, concerns have been aroused to environment. In order to minimize the environment destruction and accompany the aesthetic, efficient and advantage methods, environmental marketing has been introduced to indoor. Environmental marketing is the marketing that minimizes the reverse function so as to obtain the satisfactory result, and it is still in the stage of fundamental investigation. stage. As the concept and type of environmental marketing have not been established yet for interior design, environmental marketing currently applied to indoor space is classified Into three types in this study. Through the four types of environmental marketing, which are the introduction of natural elements to indoor space, the use of eco-friendly materials and the use of sustainable materials, renovation it is intend to derive the environmental marketing strategy and present the sequence of strategy establishment and desirable direction in environmental marketing.

The Reverse k Nearest Neighbor (RkNN) query is valuable for finding objects influenced by a specific object and is widely used in both scientific and commercial systems. However, the influence level of each object is unknown, information that is critical for some applications (e.g. target marketing). In this paper, we propose a new query type, Ordered Reverse k Nearest Neighbor (ORkNN), and make efforts to adapt it in an on-demand scenario. An Order-k Voronoi diagram based approach is used to answer ORkNN queries. In particular, for different values of k, we pre-construct only one Voronoi diagram. Algorithms on both the server and the clients are presented. We also present experimental results that suggest our proposed algorithms may have practical applications.

A new word, “Prosumer”, refers to a person who develops and produces goods which they would like to purchase online in real time. Consumers do not simply rely on choosing the good provided by manufactures any more. They are involved in the process of manufacturing good and the creation of organized purchase groups. They aim to purchase the best quality good at the lowest price through reverse auction under the warranty system. If the consumer's way of thinking is controlled by company owners and corporate CEO's profit-centered policy making, the companies will fail to keep pace with the current stream of the digital marketing age, and be destined for failure. I will discuss the changing marketing environment, new marketing strategy, and marketing realization on the internet in this thesis.

With about 80% of the global economy expected to shift to the global market by 2030, exports of reverse direct purchase products, in which foreign consumers purchase products from online shopping malls in Korea, are growing 55% annually. As of 2021, sales of reverse direct purchases in South Korea increased 50.6% from the previous year, surpassing 40 million. In order for domestic SMEs(Small and medium sized enterprises) to enter overseas markets, it is important to come up with export strategies based on various market analysis information, but for domestic small and medium-sized sellers, entry barriers are high, such as lack of information on overseas markets and difficulty in selecting local preferred products and determining competitive sales prices. This study develops an AI-based product recommendation and sales price estimation model to collect and analyze global shopping malls and product trends to provide marketing information that presents promising and appropriate product sales prices to small and medium-sized sellers who have difficulty collecting global market information. The product recommendation model is based on the LTR (Learning To Rank) methodology. As a result of comparing performance with nDCG, the Pair-wise-based XGBoost-LambdaMART Model was measured to be excellent. The sales price estimation model uses a regression algorithm. According to the R-Squared value, the Light Gradient Boosting Machine performs best in this model.

The rapid evolution of mobile technologies and proliferation of mobile devices have created a new channel for marketing by mobile advertising. As mobile advertising is a close relative to online advertising, it also has similar problems such as advertisement injections (Ad injections). Users are exposed to unwanted advertisements and redundant web traffic by injected ads can cause additional charges of mobile devices. Although mobile ad injection can cause many problems it has been merely studied. In this paper, we analyze ad injection activities by mobile applications that exploit a legitimate application (Naver mobile application). We reverse-engineered 2 mobile applications and find out characteristics of mobile ad injections. We compare mobile ad injections with online ad injections and suggest feasible mitigations.

The purpose of this study was (1) to examine the preference for apparel brands and country of origin, (2) to evaluate the brand equity for domestic and imported apparels as perceived by Korean and American consumers, and (3) to analyze the effects of country of origin and brand equity on consumers' apparel purchase behavior. The sample included 151 Korean and 114 American consumers. The data were collected from respondents by using the mall-intercept method. In addition, the path analysis based on multiple regression analysis was applied to analyze the data. The major findings in this study were as followings; (1) Both of all Korean and US consumers preferred domestic apparel brands to imported brands but the latter preferred apparels made in home country to the former comparatively, (2) Korean consumers evaluated more favorably the brand equity for imported apparels than that for domestic apparels, but American consumers were quite the reverse, (3) To Korean consumers, the direct variable to influence the purchase intention of apparels was the perceived quality and indirect variables were the brand equity and country of origin. On the other hand, to American consumers, the perceived quality and the brand equity for domestics apparel had directly influence on the purchase intention and the brand equity for imported apparels did indirectly. Finally, implications for managerial and marketing strategies were discussed in regard to building an international apparel brand equity and improving exports with high quality apparels.
Purpose - The purpose of this study is to establish an conceptual framework to explain the mechanism of internationalization behavior being used by recently established retailer in emerging countries. Research design, data, and methodology - The existing research on retail internationalization has focused on global retailers located in advanced countries which have expanded their business to emerging countries. That is, "internationalization from top to bottom". However, recent years have seen a reversal in this trend, resulting in the emergence of "internationalization from bottom to top" by retailers based in emerging economies. In order to explore this reversal, this study attempts to develop an conceptual framework based on the theories of "innovation" and "retail format". Results - This study found an conceptual framework which was adopted both a concept of "formula" derived from the theory of retail format and a concept of "production and process innovation" derived from the theory of innovation as a core concept. Conclusions - The conceptual framework provided an understanding of how retailers in emerging countries have gained a competitive advantage over retail companies based in countries with advanced economies. It suggested that innovation that gave these companies a competitive edge was caused by competitive interaction which allowed them to expand to oversea markets.
