An Approach for Developing Web Applications by Reusing Components of e-Government Standard Framework

  • To solve the problem of low inter-operability of systems and low reusability caused by not being standardized and common-shared development foundation between software developers, the government has proposed e-Government(eGov) standard framework. However, the development method based on eGov standard framework is not easy to learn and to use fluently, because it is so dissimilar the existing traditional development method. In this paper, we propose an approach for developing web applications by reusing common components of eGov standard framework, and describe about the case study of developing Can_Pro(Computer Aided Nutritional analysis program for Professionals) based on eGov standard framework. Consequently, we show improvement in productivity and reduction budget through reusability of common components and eGov standard framework.

  • Due to the growing interest in eco-friendly and sustainable design in the architectural and urban planning field, we are witnessing numerous projects in which old buildings are being reused. However, with the exception of domestic apartments, there hasn't been a systematic approach or policy regarding the reuse of specific building types. On the other hand, we were able to point out two public building types, dong-offices and primary schools, that are expected to be underused, with future needs for conversion. Because the two building types are public buildings, we believe that their conversion must address the needs of the society. In this study, we have chosen 'social integration' as the ultimate goal of reusing public buildings. Upon the conceptual model of 'Housing-Mixed Public Facility', which was produced in a previous study, we have added other core programs that could be adopted into the model. Then, we applied the improved model onto the two building types by producing conversion plans and introducing key planning techniques. During this process, we have found some regulations that would not allow the realization of some models. Therefore, we have suggested amendments to the related regulations.

A Design of FPGA Self-test Circuit Reusing FPGA Boundary Scan Chain (FPGA 경계 스캔 체인을 재활용한 FPGA 자가 테스트 회로 설계)

  • This paper introduces an FPGA self-test architecture reusing FPGA boundary scan chain as self-test circuits. An FPGA boundary scan cell is two or three times bigger than a normal boundary scan cell because it is used for configuring the function of input/output pins functions as well as testing and debugging. Accordingly, we analyze the architecture of an FPGA boundary scan cell in detail and design a set of built-in self-test (BIST) circuits in which FPGA boundary scan chain and a small amount of FPGA logic elements. By reusing FPGA boundary scan chain for self-test, we can reduce area overhead and perform a processor based on-board FPGA testing/monitoring. Experimental results show the area overhead comparison and simulation results.

A Study on the Utilization of Effluent Treated by Double Process Using Fixed-media and Sand Filter Coated by Nano Silver for Wastewater Reclamation and Reusing System (고정상 담체와 은나노 모래여과를 이용한 이중 공정에서 처리수의 중수도 활용에 관한 연구)

  • This study focused on the availability of wastewater reclamation and reusing system as one of the alternatives against the global water shortage in near future, which system is composed of two treatment steps; first, wastewater is injected into upflow $A^2O$ biofilm process(anaerobic/anoxic/oxic) reactor filled with polyethylene fixed-media, and the effluent of 1st steps continuously passed through downflow nano silver sand filter. The pH of the effluent ranged from 7.39 to 8.06(average 7.84), the $COD_{Mn}$ was $8{\sim}18mg/L$(average 12.1 mg/L), and $BOD_5$ was $2.1{\sim}10.0mg/L$(average 4.9 mg/L), that met all the wastewater reclamation and reusing system criteria. Besides, the SS concentrations of the effluent which was $3{\sim}9mg/L$(average 4.95 mg/L) met the criteria(5 mg/L), showing 94.8% of average removal efficiency. The 99.1% of the average removal efficiency of the E-coliform did not met the criteria(Not detected), which indicates the needs for the following chlorine disinfection treatment with the residual chlorine concentration of above 0.2 mg/L. There are no bacteria on the sand surface coated by nano silver. The removal efficiency of T-N and T-P that could be included into the criteria in the future was 50.3% and 27.2% respectively.

Methodology Development for the Reuse of Sludge Generated from Fenton's Oxidation Process (펜톤산화 공정에서 발생하는 슬러지의 재활용 방안)

  • The objective of this study is to develop effective and economical treatment processes for the removal of non-biodegradable organics by reusing the sludge generated from Fenton's Oxidation Process. It was found that about 50% of coagulants and 50% of catalyst can be reduced by reusing the sludge generated from Fenton's Oxidation Process. It was also found that the amount of sludge generation can be reduced in coagulation process and Fenton's Oxidation Process. From the results of bench-scale test, it was found that the average removal efficiency increased to 8.5% and the amount of sludge generation was reduced up to 35% by reusing the sludge as coagulant. The average organic removal efficiency increased to 5.3% and the amount of sludge generation was reduced up to 14% by reusing the sludge as catalyst in Fenton's Oxidation. It can be concluded that the reuse of sludge generated from Fenton's Oxidation Process would be reduced cost of chemical consumption and Fenton's sludge treatment.

  • A block replacement policy where at failure the item is either replaced by a new or used item or remains inactive until the next planned replacement is considered. in this paper our interests are focused on reusing all the used items created by the policy. Numerical results for the case where the underlying life distribution is gamma are obtained.
