As for the Philippines, Philippine Retirement Authority was attracting investment of foreigners and individuals having Philippine citizenship, by issuing SRRV(the Special Resident Retiree's Visa), and as for Thailand, the Thai Longstay Management Company Limited was providing membership system for the abode of foreigners. In case of the domestic residence for seniors, it is suggested that the development of the senior housing community be designed in accordance with the diversified purposes of residence; that is, the prime concern of the community should be reflected on the characteristics of the retiree group (such as the lifestyle, health situation, etc), and at the same time, special concern also be showed on managing the community club house facilities, and keeping the amicable relations between the retiree residents and the local villagers.

  • Using the first wave of KLoSA(Korean Longitudinal Study of Ageing) beta version, this study analyzed factors affecting early retired men's subjective life satisfaction through Binary Logit and Multiple Regression. Total 552 men were selected as a sample. The main results of empirical analysis in this study were as follows: The retirement reason(health-) and monthly household income(+) affected whether they were satisfied with the retirement life or not and subjective life satisfaction over all. Especially, the retirement reason(health-) had a stronger effect on whether early retired min were satisfied with the retirement life or not and their subjective life satisfaction than monthly household income revealed significant variable in previous studies. • In this study, we used survey data from Japanese retirees to determine the levels of retirement anxiety, retirement life preparation and retirement life needs in retirement and analyzed how these factors affect post-retirement life satisfaction. The analysis was based on a survey of retirees aged 60 to 74 across Japan, with data from 1,257 people included in the analysis. The results of the analysis were as follows. First, both men and women were found to have higher levels of retirement anxiety in terms of economic aspects, such as lack of income, savings, and living expenses, than other forms of retirement anxiety. This trend was more pronounced among men. Second, the higher the level of retirement anxiety in terms of economic aspects, the lower the level of life satisfaction in retirement for both men and women. Third, in terms of preparation for retirement life, greater preparation for the economic aspects of retirement life corresponded to higher life satisfaction for both genders. Finally, with regard to the influence of post-retirement life requirements, it was found that men who perceived a greater need for re-employment and re-employment opportunities experienced lower levels of post-retirement life satisfaction. These findings suggest the need for community participation programs and employment-linked initiatives to enhance post- retirement life satisfaction.
