  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of gender and load carriage difference on the lower extremity kinetics during stair descent. Ten healthy males and 10 healthy females were recruited (n=20). In the Maximum resultant velocity, it showed more velocity was decreased with difference by the change of gender (males>females) and load carriage (30%, 20%, 10%> 10%). And, resultant velocity showed interaction between gender and a load (load>gender). Main effect by gender during stair descent showed leg length was decreased in females than that of males at initial contact phase. Also, main effect by gender during stair descent showed more hip, knee flexed and plantar flexion of ankle joint in females than that of males. In the kinetics variables, main effect by gender during stair descent showed more higher reaction force of medial-lateral direction, and leg stiffness in males than that of females. We found that females successfully accommodated a load during stair descent by decreasing the range of motion of the hip joint angle and resultant velocity of movement. Males, on the other hand, require greater medial-lateral, vertical reaction force, and leg stiffness to accommodate a load, and control of momentum.

  • Hydroentanglement describes a versatile process for manufacturing nonwoven fabrics using foe, closely speed, high-velocity jets of water and entangles loose arrays of fibers. The resultant fabrics rely primarily on fiber-to-fiber friction to achieve physical integrity and are characterized by relatively high strength, flexibility, and conformability. These technologies can use efficiently the majority of all types of fibers and produce fabrics that could achieve properties equivalent to reverts. (omitted)

  • A novel agglomeration technique, termed "Spherical Crystallization Process", which can transform directly the fine crystals produced in the crystallization or the reaction process into a spherical shape was developed. By this technique, needle like crystals such as salicylic acid were transformed into free flowing and directly compressible agglomerates. Sphericaly agglomerated aminophyline crystals were obtained directly from the reaction system, which could reduce the preparation processes, e. g. synthesis, crystallization and agglomeration, into only one step. Sodium theophyline monohydrate agglomerates were prepared by salting out, the rate process of which was described by a first order kinetics. Agglomerated crystals of ndw complex of indo-methacin-mepirizole were prepare with this technique; an improved therapeutic effect of the resultant crystals was expected. expected.

  • With the conceptual definition of the quotient(${\beta}$) of absorbed dose and the collision part of kerma for photon beams, the procedure of computing ${\beta}$ is briefly described. A series of calculations of ${\beta}$ was carried out for photons of 0.4, 0.5, 1 and 2 MeV in polystyrene, carbon, air and aluminum. Resultant values are tabulated and evaluated.

  • Diffraction modes of holographic grating were fabricated with polyurethane acrylates(PUA). Two types of silica (AEROSIL 200 and AEROSIL R812) were added to reduce the shrinkage of polymer matrix. It was founded that shrinkage of PUA composite film was reduced with the addition of silica. HPDLC based PUA/silica composite also showed high diffraction efficiency. The morphology of the resultant gratings was analyzed by using scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and Tg of the polymer matrix by dynamic mechanical thermal analysis(DMTA).

  • In [4] we showed that a polynomial over a Noetherian ring is divisible by some other polynomial by looking at the matrix formed by the coefficients of the polynomials which we called the resultant matrix. Using the result, we will find conditions for a polynomial over a commutative ring to be irreducible. This can be viewed as a generalization of the Eisenstein's irreducibility criterion.

  • Mechanical agitation is widely used in industrial process engineering. In the present study, peformed was a numerical simulation on flows in a $45^{\circ}$ Pitched Paddle Type mixer. Through a CFD technique, effects of the position of the impeller on resultant flow pattern was studied. Results of computed torque on impeller to maintain the flow are also compared to the experimental data, and showed good qualitative agreements.

  • The formation of postlaminectomy arteriovenous fistula is unusual and the rongeur during discectomy with resultant simultaneous damage to artery and vein is causative. The delay in diagnosis is particularly distressing. The presence of a palpable abdominal thrill or bruit with or without congestive heart failure should results in a high index of suspicion of this entity. Prompt recognition and surgical closure of the post-laminectomy arteriovenous iliac fistula are most important in successful management.

  • Herein, nuruks derived from non-glutinous and glutinous rice inoculated with Aspergillus oryzae N159-1 (having high alpha-amylase and beta-glucosidase activities) were used to produce Korean alcoholic beverages. The resultant beverages had enhanced fruity (ethyl caproate and isoamyl alcohol) and rose (2-phenethyl acetate and phenethyl alcohol) flavors and high taste scores.

  • Polypropylene-ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer (PP-EVA) blends were prepared by mechanical blending using relatively semi-crystaline ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and polypropylene. In order to obtain dyeable PP fiber, PP-EVA blends were prepared using below 10wt.% of EVA and formed a filament by the melt spinning method. The resultant fibers had tensile strengh of 2∼3g/d, elongation of 330∼600%, initial modulus of 22∼46g/d, and exhibited markedly improved dyeing property.
