서원 중정공간의 폐쇄성 분석 (Analysis on the Degree of Enclosure on the Court Space in Suh-Won)

  • This study deals with the degree of enclosure on the Court Space in 'Suh-Won' that has warious perceptual composition elements. 1. The size of Court Space in which we can read the complexion of others and easily understand every behavior of them is similar to that of the 'Madang' in the Korean traditional houses. 2. The angles of elevation are within the range of suitable enclosure as going from the center of the court Space to 'Kang-Dang' and the space -from the center of the Court Space to 'Kang-Dang'- is restricted and surrounded. It is also within the range of the least enclosure as going from the center of the Court Space to the 'Mun-Ru'. 3. The degrees of enclosure based on the horizontal angle are within the degree we can perceive the objects of structure easily. 4. The degree of enclosure based on the ratio D/H is increased as approaching from 'Mun-Ru' to 'Kang-Dang'. The distance as approaching from 'Mun-Ru' to 'Kang-Dang' is changed from social distance to personal distance. To conclude this the Court Space in 'Suh-Won' represents the hierarchical system with variety and the degree of enclosure and the size of space are within the range of human scale.

소형 풍력의 과풍속 보호 장치에 관한 연구 (A study of overspeed-protection furling mechanism of Small Wind Turbine)

  • The wind power has been used steadily since long ago, but the importance of it has been faded because of the abundant and convenient fossil energy. Now, due to the energy crisis, experiencing the environmental problems etc, the necessity of using it growing bigger. Because the small wind turbines under a few kW grade has the merits of setting up with low costs by individuals, and get the energy saving effects that, it has the secured, separate markets from the range systems, and the developing of it is continuously proceeding. The small wind turbine system must have the output power regulating system for the over wind speed, to run steadily in the various wind speed environment. In case of the small wind turbine system, to prevent the breaking and for safety, at the over wind speed, additional system is required, and in most cases, output power is restricted by mechanical means. In this paper, the furling system makes the tail and the head move to make the blades to the wind in slanted angle, restrict the output power at the over wind speed. In thesis, small prototype wind turbine is made, and analyzing the output power characteristics at the over wind speed, and to verify, through the logical study and tests.

  • Due to the development of the petroleum refining technology and continuously increased demand from markets, a quantity of gasoline and diesel oil produced from a restricted quantity of crude oil has been increasing, and residual fuel to be used at marine diesel engines has been gradually becoming low quality. As a result, it was recently reported that trouble oils which cause abnormal combustion such as knocking with extreme noise and misfire from internal combustion engines were increasing throughout the world. In this study, an author investigated ignitability and combustion quality by using combustion analyzer with constant volume(FCA, Fuel Combustion Analyzer) and middle speed diesel engine about MDO(Marine Diesel Oil), HFO(Heavy Fuel Oil), LCO(Light Cycle Oil) and Blend-HFO which was blended LCO of 1000 liters with HFO of 600 liters. Moreover, for betterment of ignitability and combustion quality of injected fuels, multi-injection experiment was carried out in the diesel engine using Blend-HFO. A Simulation Based Assessment for Evaluating the Effectiveness of Quasi-Zenith Satellite System

  • Since the operation of the first satellite-based navigation service, satellite positioning has played an increasing role in both surveying and geodesy, and has become an indispensable tool for precise relative positioning. However, in some situations, e.g. at a low angle of elevation, the use of satellites for navigation is seriously restricted because obstacles like buildings and mountains can block signals. As a mean to resolve this problem, the quasi-zenith satellite system has been proposed as a next-generation satellite navigation system. Quasi-zenith satellite is a system which simultaneously deploys several satellites in a quasi-zenith geostationary orbit so that one of the satellites always stay close to the zenith if viewed from a specific point on the ground of East Asia. Thus, if a position measurement function compatible with CPS is installed in the quasi-zenith and stationary satellites, and these satellites are utilized together with the CPS, four satellites can be accessed simultaneously nearly all day long and a substantial improvement in position measurement, especially in metropolitan areas, can be achieved. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the effectiveness of quasi-zenith satellite system on positioning accuracy improvement through simulation by using precise orbital information of the satellites and a three-dimensional digital map. Through this developed simulation system, it is possible to calculate the number of simultaneously visible satellites and available area for positioning without the need of actual observation. Furthermore, this system can calculate the Dilution Of Precision (DOP) and the error distribution.

Improvement of Variable Renewable Energy Penetration of Stand-Alone Microgrid Hosting Capacity by Using Energy-Storage-System Based on Power Sensitivity

  • Recently, the demand for high penetration of variable renewable energy (VRE) penetration in a power system is increased. In consequence, distribution systems including microgrids confront the increased installation of VRE-based distributed generation. Despite of the high demand of VRE-based distributed generation in a distribution system, the installation of photovoltaic (PV) system in a distribution system has been restricted by various problems. In other words, the hosting capacity for high VRE penetration in a distribution system is limited. This paper analyzes the improvements of hosting capacity VRE penetration of stand-alone microgrid (SAMG) with energy storage system (ESS) by considering virtual-slack (VS) control based on power sensitivity. With the pre-defined power sensitivity, the ESS operates as virtual slack in the SAMG by controlling its bus voltage and phase angle indirectly. Therefore, the ESS enables the increase of VRE penetration in the SAMG. The proposed VS control is realized by analyzing the ESS as a virtual slack in power flow analysis based on power sensitivity. Then its validity is demonstrated with the case study on the SAMG in South Korea with practical data.

고결된 하상모래의 전단거동 (Shear Behaviour of Cemened River Sand)

  • 본 연구에서는 낙동강하상모래에 소량의 포틀랜드시멘트를 고결작용제로 사용한 시멘트혼합토의 제체재료의 적합성검토 설계 및 해석에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하고자 배수조건의 삼축압축시험을 수행하여 시멘트혼합율의 증가에 따른 전단거동을 분석하였다. 시멘트혼합율의 증가에 따라 첨두강도 및 탄성계수는 증가 하였고 시멘트의 결합력에 의하여 다일레이션이 억제되었으나 시멘트 결합력의 파괴후 다일레이션은 증가하였다. 그리고 응력-변형률 곡선에서 연화거동이 나타났으며 시멘트혼합율의 증가에 따라 점착력 및 내부마찰각이 증가하였다.

교류전기철도 병렬급전 운영을 위한 위상조정장치 제어기법 (A Control Method of Phase Angle Regulator for Parallel-Feeding Operation of AC Traction Power Supply System)

  • 교류전기철도 급전시스템에 병렬급전방식을 적용할 경우, 전동차 부하로 인한 전압강하 및 최대순시부하를 감소시켜 급전구간을 연장하고 급전용량을 향상시킬 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 그러나 변전소 간에 위상차가 있을 경우 순환전력이 발생하기 때문에 적용이 제한되며, 전동차 운행에 따른 부하 분포에 따라 변전소 부하 불균형이 커져서 급전용량이 저하되는 문제점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 변전소 위상차 및 전동차 부하분포에 따라 변동하는 순환전력을 실시간 제어하고 변전소 부하 불균형을 해소하기 위하여 사이리스터 제어 위상조정장치 (TCPAR: Thyristor Controlled Phase Angle Regulator, 이하 TCPAR)를 적용하는 방식을 제안하고, 이를 구현하기 위한 검토를 수행하였다. 전기철도 급전 시스템에 TCPAR을 적용하기 위한 제어 기법으로서, 변전소 공급전력을 입력으로 이용하여 변전소 위상차 및 전동차 부하 분포에 따라 변동하는 순환전력과 변전소 부하 불균형을 효과적으로 억제하는 제어모델을 제시하였다. PSCAD/EMTDC를 이용한 시뮬레이션 결과, 전기철도 병렬급전에 제안한 TCPAR을 적용함으로써 변전소 위상차 및 전동차 부하분포에 따라 변동하는 순환전력 및 변전소 부하 불균형을 효과적으로 억제시킬 수 있다는 것을 확인하였다. 제안 기법을 전기철도 병렬급전에 적용할 경우, 병렬급전 적용 범위를 확대하고 급전용량을 증가시킬 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

선박조종시뮬레이터를 이용한 울산항 원유부이이설의 안전성 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Safety Assessment of the replaced Single Buoy Mooring at Ulsan Harbor by Ship Handling Simulator)

  • In accordance with the development plans of Ulsan harbor, Ulsan new harbor will be contructed considering supporting Ulsan harbor as a safe berthing and departure at single buoy mooring(SBM). In this study, we used a full-mission ship handling simulator adopting 300,000 DWT VLCC manoeuvered at the planned Ulsan SBM. Five masters who have had a long experience of ship maneuvering were called to carry out the simulations, of which each scenario were tried one, completed total of 68 times. The marine traffic safety was assessed in terms of 1) the closest point of approach(CPA) to other SBM and breakwater in the vicinity and the probability of crossing the restricted area of the closest SBM and fairway limit, 2) subjective evaluation such as the mental burden and the maneuvering difficulty of shiphanders, and 3) the opinions of shiphandlers. From the result of this simulation, we have a conclusion as follows; First, because crude oil berthing angle is so small by current S-OiL Co. crude oil buoy by SK Co. No 3 crude oil buoy different view SK Co. No 3 crude oil buoy and interference of current KNOC crude oil buoy, Berthing is impossible, and Emergency departing is very dangerous too operation impossible. Second it is desirable that SK Co. No 2 and No 3 Single buoy Mooring that do different view controls position so that to be not put in straight line each other. Third, SK Co. No 1 and 2 single buoy mooring that do different view to Onsanhang berthing and departing is seized by single buoy mooring by external force ship that set sail does faith control need.

The investigation of ship maneuvering with hydrodynamic effects between ships in curved narrow channel

  • The hydrodynamic interaction between two large vessels can't be neglected when two large vessels are closed to each other in restricted waterways such as in a harbor or narrow channel. This paper is mainly concerned with the ship maneuvering motion based on the hydrodynamic interaction effects between two large vessels moving each other in curved narrow channel. In this research, the characteristic features of the hydrodynamic interaction forces between two large vessels are described and illustrated, and the effects of velocity ratio and the spacing between two vessels are summarized and discussed. Also, the Inchon outer harbor area through the PALMI island channel in Korea was selected, and the ship maneuvering simulation was carried out to propose an appropriate safe speed and distance between two ships, which is required to avoid sea accident in confined waters. From the inspection of this investigation, it indicates the following result. Under the condition of $SP_{12}{\leq}0:5L$, it may encounter a dangerous tendency of grounding or collision due to the combined effect of the interaction between ships and external forces. Also considering the interaction and wind effect as a parameter, an overtaken and overtaking vessel in narrow channel can navigate while keeping its own original course under the following conditions; the lateral separation between two ships is about kept at 0.6 times of ship length and 15 degrees of range in maximum rudder angle. On the other hand, two ships while overtaking in curved narrow channel such as Inchon outer harbor in Korea should be navigated under the following conditions; $SP_{12}$ is about kept at 1.0 times of ship length and the wind velocity should not be stronger than 10 m/s.

광대역 신호 처리에서의 도래각 추정 : Rotation of Signal Subspaces 방법 (Direction-of-Arrival Estimation in Broadband Signal Processing : Rotation of Signal Subspace Approach)

  • 본 논문은 rotation of subspaces 개념을 이용한 도래각 추정 방법을 제시한다. 이 방법은 여러 응용분야에서 대두되는 부공간들(subspaces)의 각도 및 거리와 밀접한 관련이 있다. 먼저 최소 자승을 이용하여 한 부공간을 다른 부공간으로 변환 시켜주는 최적 변환 행렬을 구하기 위한 효율적인 방법을 유도하고 이를 이용하여 다중 광대역 신호들 (인코히어런트, 부분적인 코히어런트와 완전한 코히어런트의 혼합신호들)의 도래각을 추정한다. 대표적인 응용으로, 잡음의 배열 스펙트럼 밀도 행렬이 변하지 않는 액티브 시스템(e. g. sonar system) 경우에 성능을 높이기 위하여 효율적인 ROSS (rotation of signal subspaces) 알고리듬을 제안한다. ROSS 알고리듬은 Wang-Kaveh's CSS-focusing 방법에서 사용하는 예비처리와 공간 필터링을 필요로 하지 않는 장점이 있으며 일반적인 모든 배열 안테나에도 적용될 수 있다. 시뮬레이션 결과, 제안된 새로운 알고리듬이 CSS-focusing 방법 및 Forward-Backward Spatial Smoothed MUSIC 보다 높은 성능을 가짐을 알 수 있었다.
