Hand gesture recognition has been widely used in virtual reality and HCI (Human-Computer-Interaction) system, which is challenging and interesting subject in the vision based area. The existing approaches for vision-driven interactive user interfaces resort to technologies such as head tracking, face and facial expression recognition, eye tracking and gesture recognition. The purpose of this paper is to combine the finite state machine (FSM) and the gesture recognition method, in other to control Windows Media Player, such as: play/pause, next, pervious, and volume up/down.

Over the past few years, the economic growth had a great effect on tourism. As a number of tourist increase, particulary in the relaxation tourism, tourists inevitably need some measures which health their liver, as a social value. In this respect, it is required efficient development of hot springs designed to contribute to the improvement of national health, and suggest some good directions through on analysis of the following 1. The method of developping connection the neighborhood tourism area. 2. The development of travel commodities for trying to attract tourists, connecting hot spring bath. 3. The rapidly growing at which information is produced and used in our complex society has presented us with major problems in information transfer. Resource sharing is almost universally accepted by librarians as the only realistic means for meeting future demands and no doubt the future will see continued growth in computer-based library networks for resource sharing. The resort to networking by many library and information institutions may be symptomatic of the difficulties they face in dealing with their rapidly changing environment. In this article, the library network is examined in relationship to resource sharing. Included is a discussion of the definitions of library network and other related terms, the main factors in the emergence of library network concept, the history of the concept of library networks, resource sharing through the library networks, the problems by which the development of networks is confronted, and prospects.

국민소득의 증가와 주5일 근무제의 확대적용, 3면이 바다이고 내륙에 비교적 많은 강과 하천이 분포되어 있는 지리환경적 여건으로 인해 쉽게 접할 수 있는 수상레저에 많은 관심이 주어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는, 우리나라의 수상레저사업자, 장비제조업자, 관련단체 및 동호인을 대상으로 설문 및 현장방문 조사를 통하여 수집한 자료를 분석하고 사업체의 형태 및 애로사항 등의 실태를 파악한다. 이 자료들을 근거로 수상레포츠 활성화 및 발전을 위한 산업기반기설 구축방안을 제안한다.

Even though ruin probability is a fundamental value to determine the insurance premium and policy, the complexity involved in computing its exact value forced us resort to an approximate method. In this paper, we first present an exact method to compute ruin probability under the assumption that the claim size has a GPH distribution, Then, for the arbitrary claim size distribution, we provide a method computing ruin probability quite accurately by approximating the distribution as a GPH. The validity of the proposed method demonstrated by a numerical example. The GPH approach seems to be valid for heavy-tailed claims as well as usual light-tailed claims.

This study investigates the prayer House facilities in Korean Churches and improves them to the positive way in order to revive the church itself. The prayer houses in Korea manages the various facilities and special programs. Theses facilities are used in christian seminars, educations, belief-training for the more non-christian's resort and training center when they could meet the god naturally. The purpose of this paper suggests the condition of the current prayer house facilities and the main organizers. this leads the fundamental data for the patterns of the unit facilities. Methods of study and range are 20 places among Seoul, Kyunggi - do area and analyse document survey, phone interview, drawing analysis, direct visit including the prayer house type, building area, site area, total floor area, location condition as searching items.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the utilization of the interior environment in hotel lobby and to grasp the requests of visitors. The significance of the study is to illustrate the present characters of hotel lobby and to offer the basic data for future hotel projects. The materials for this study has been collected through questionnaires garnered from six deluxe hotels in Cheju, and statistically analyzed by the semantic differential scale of L. E. Osgood. The conclusion of this study as follows . 1) Hotel lobby is used as waiting space for a short time and frequent use is four times a day. The lobby is used by the quest for meeting , waiting as a resting place while it serves as the visitor's meeting and resting place. 2) The user prefers the lobby's open space. It is desirable for the area of activity of a quests and visitors to have separate entrances. The space composition of the lobby is centrally located between the room and subsidiary equipment. The hotel lobby has needed of a method which promotes lobby image through a magnificent view of the outside.

Objectives This study presents the indicators and proxy variables for the quantitative assessment of green chemistry technologies and evaluates the relative importance of each assessment element by consulting experts from the fields of ecology, chemistry, safety, and public health. Methods The results collected were subjected to an analytic hierarchy process to obtain the weights of the indicators and the proxy variables. Results These weights may prove useful in avoiding having to resort to qualitative means in absence of weights between indicators when integrating the results of quantitative assessment by indicator. Conclusions This study points to the limitations of current quantitative assessment techniques for green chemistry technologies and seeks to present the future direction for quantitative assessment of green chemistry technologies.

Safety monitoring systems of structures generally resort to detecting possible changes of dynamic system parameters. Sensitivity analysis of these dynamic system parameters may implement these techniques. Conventional structural eigenvalue problems are discussed in the scope of those systems with deterministic parameters. Large and flexible structures, such as suspension bridges, actually possess stochastic material properties and these random properties unavoidably affect the dynamic system parameters. The sensitivity matrix of structural modal parameters to basic design variables has been established in this paper. Moreover, second order statistics of natural frequencies due to the randomness of material properties have been discussed. It is concluded from numerical analysis of a modem suspension bridge that although the second order statistics of frequencies are small relatively to the change of basic design variables, such as density of mass and modulus of elasticity, the sensitivities of modal parameters to these variables at different locations change in magnitude.
