The purpose of this study is to examine the variables that may influence the level of family adaptation to schizophrenic patients using the Family Resiliency Model. The Family Resiliency Model is the most current extension of family stress Model. According to the Family Resiliency Model, The level of family adaptation in the face of a crisis situation is determined by a number of interacting components. The subjects are 151 family members with schizophrenic patient. The result from the research were as follows: 1) The following variables significantly correlated with the family adaptation: income of the family, educational level of the family, intimacy between family and patient, knowledge on schizophrenia, recognition of prognosis on schizophrenia. 2) The factors that compose the Family Resiliency Model significantly correlated with the level of family adaptation. 3) The result of stepwise multiple regression analysis indicated that factors which predict the level of family adaptation were the family control, the quality of family communication, and the support from the extended family, these findings give us significant practical implications for social work intervention.
Objective: This study explored the effect of childcare teacher's playfulness on burnout through ego-resiliency. Methods: The participants of this study were 265 childcare teachers working at childcare centers. Data was collected through questionnaire on teacher's palyfulness, ego-resiliency and burnout were analyzed with descriptive statistics and Pearson's correlation analysis using AMOS 10.0 and SPSS 21.0. The path included in the study model was verified by Structural Equation Modeling(SEM) and for the analysis of the mediating effect, Bootstrapping was used. Results: First, childcare teachers' playfulness had a negative influence on burnout. Second, childcare teachers' ego-resiliency had a negative influence on burnout. Third, childcare teachers' playfulness had a positive influence on ego-resiliency. Fourth, childcare teachers' playfulness had an indirect effect on burnout through ego-resiliency. The effect of childcare teachers' playfulness on their burnout was completely mediated by ego-resiliency. Conclusion/Implications: When developing a program to intervene in the burnout of childcare teachers, there needs to be more concern about ego-resiliency than playfulness.
In order to develop a model for better understanding of causal relationships in resiliency factors in families of children with disabilities, 200 families participated in this adaptation of the Resiliency Model of McCubbin and McCubbin(1993). The 6 latent variables included in the hypothesized model were family stress, family hardiness, family schema, community support, family problem-solving communication, and family adaptation. The models were developed on the basis of confirmatory factor analysis and compared using covariance structure modeling (LISREL). Adequate fitness of the model was observed. Family stress showed negative effect on family schema and on family hardiness. Family schema showed positive effect on community support and on family hardiness. Family hardiness showed positive effect on family problem-solving communication, and family problem-solving communication showed positive effect on family adaptation.
Purpose: This study was conducted to identify resiliency factor, to test causal relationship and effect of resiliency factors on adaptation in families of children with cancer. A conceptual framework was constructed based on McCubbin's resiliency model. Hypotheses were tested with empirical data. Method: Data were collected using self-report questionnaire from 232 families of children with cancer. The collected data were analyzed using the SAS program and LISREL program for covariance structural analysis. Result: Family hardiness and problem-solving coping had significant direct effects on adaptation in families of children with cancer. Social support had significant indirect and total effect on adaptation. Family Schema had significant direct effect on family hardiness and problem-solving coping. Problem-solving communication had a significant direct effect on family hardiness and an indirect effect on family functioning and problem-solving coping. Among the resiliency factors, family hardiness had the greatest effect on adaptation in family of children with cancer. Conclusion: The findings suggest that nursing interventions to enhance family hardiness, problem-solving coping and social support would result in an increase in adaptation in families of children with cancer. An integrated intervention that emphasizes and promotes resiliency factors should be developed and established for families of children with cancer.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the financial portfolios of single-person households. For the analysis, The purpose of this study is to verify the mediation effect of stress-coping strategies in the relationship between ego-resiliency and burn-out among childcare center teachers. The subjects were 255 childcare center teachers in Gyeongbuk Province. The measurement tools used for this study include ego-resiliency, burn-out, and stresscoping strategy questionnaires. The collected data points were analyzed via Structural Equation Modeling(SEM), Bootstrapping, Pearson Correlation, using SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 20.0 The results of the study analyzing the Structural Equation Model are as follows. First, teachers' ego-resiliency had a negative influence on burn-out. Second, teachers' problem-focused coping strategies had a negative influence on burn-out, while emotionfocused coping strategies had a positive influence on burn-out. Third, teachers' ego-resiliency had a positive influence on both problem-focused and emotion-focused coping strategies. Fourth, teachers' ego-resiliency had an indirect effect on burn-out by improving both problem-focused and emotion-focused coping strategies. This study suggests that education on the use of problem-focused coping strategies in stressful situations is necessary to successfully manage childcare teachers' burn-out in childcare settings in which mandatory evaluation systems are newly implemented.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effects of parental attachment and ego resiliency in the tendency toward social networking site (SNS) addiction in college students. For this purpose, 382 college students in the Jeju area were surveyed and their responses analyzed. To analyze the collected data, structural equations were implemented using SPSS Statistics version 18.0. According to the results of the study, there is a significant negative correlation between attachment formation and SNS intoxication in college students, and a negative correlation between ego resiliency and SNS addiction. Also, there is a significant positive correlation between formation of parental attachment and ego resiliency in college students, indicating that parental attachment and ego resiliency are significant factors in lowering SNS addiction. Second, in order to examine the mediating effects of ego resiliency in the relationship between the formation of parental attachment and SNS addiction in college students, a research model and a competition model were established and verified. As a result, the relationship between parent attachment and SNS addiction was mediated completely, and the research model is more appropriate. These findings suggest that ego resiliency is of practical significance in seeking ways to improve the problem of SNS addiction in the future. In other words, overuse of SNSs by university students can lead to addiction, but strengthening ego resiliency enables sound SNS use.
In this study analyzed the reliability indices against the water supply ability of Andong dam. The water supply analysis of Andong dam used the HEC-5 model. So Andong dam simulated planed water-supply capacity of Andong dam as increase and decrease +5% ~ -5% of water supply quantity. Water-supply capacity of Andong dam estimated, deficit occurrence, deficit quantity, deficit period. As the results estimated reliability(occurrence based, time based, quantity based) and resiliency vulnerability and with water supply capacity evaluation indices of Andong dam. Also reliability(occurrence based, time based, quantity based), resiliency, vulnerability and resiliency indices are estimated to evaluated the performance of water supply on Andong dam, and their relationships are evaluated.

This study examined the effect of maternal positive parenting attitudes on school adjustment among multi-cultural adolescents in Korea and investigated if multi-cultural adolescents' ego-resiliency mediates the relationship between maternal positive parenting attitudes and school adjustment. We used panel data from the fifth wave (2015) of the Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study (MAPS) collected by the National Youth Policy Institute. Participants were 1,297 multi-cultural adolescents (639 boys, 658 girls) who are second-year middle school students and have foreign mothers. SPSS 25.0 performed descriptive statistical analysis and correlation analysis. The structural equation model (SEM) was estimated with Mplus 5.12. The results of this study were as follows. First, a higher level of maternal positive parenting attitudes were related to higher level of ego-resiliency and school adjustment for multi-cultural adolescents. Second, maternal positive parenting attitudes had an indirect effect on school adjustment for multi-cultural adolescents via ego-resiliency. The results of this study indicate that maternal positive parenting behaviors would help improve the school adjustment of multi-cultural adolescents by increasing the level of ego-resiliency. In addition, the results of this study suggest that improving ego-resiliency for multi-cultural adolescents can be an effective method to help in school adjustment, as well as education for maternal parenting attitude.
This study is aimed at investigating the effects of school violence on adolescent depression and suicide, where both the mediating effects of resilency and the gender diffences are considered. The data, collected from 664 high and middle school students, were examined by the statistics software SPSS 17.0 and AMOS 17.0, in which descriptive statistics, factor analysis, structural equation model analysis, and multi-group simultaneous analysis are utilized. As a result, it is shown from the structural equation modeling that school violence have positive effects on depression and suicide, but negative effects on family and academic resiliency. Both ego and family resiliency act as protective factors, negatively affecting the depression. In addition, the family resiliency had negative effects on suicide. The results of multi-group simultaneous analysis imply that school violence have different effects on suicide and family resiliency respectively, depending on gender differences. Female adolescents are affected more strongly than male adolescents.
The major purpose of this research was to explore the mediating effects of ego-resiliency between parent communication style and stress coping styles in adolescence. The subjects who participated in this study included 247 high school students from Gyeong-gi province. They completed questionnaires on parent-adolescent communication, ego-resilience, and stress coping styles using the cognitive appraisal model by Lazarus & Folkman(1984). Data were analyzed by t-test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression. It was found that parent-adolescence communication as well as ego-resilience had significant effects on stress coping styles. In particular, female teenagers showed evidence that ego-resilience had complete mediation over relationships between a parent's communication styles and their stress coping styles.
