That is the reason CHP needs to be retrained through the continuing education program. This paper showed CHP's roles to be reinforced by analyzing his present . task performance and ability in seven task areas as well as the changes of the social environment. In addition, this paper presented retraining areas needed for the reinforcement of the CHP's role in the future, and the development strategy of related continuing education package. The major results are as follows: 1. CHP's main practice area is health care services and management & guidance, whereas the development of health information system is neglected. 2. As a result, CHP plays a role mainly as a health care supplier, a consultant and a health instructor. Therefore CHP's roles to be reinforced are management of the community health system, act as a spokesman and a team member, promotion, assessment, collection & maintenance of information, coordination and research. 3. The areas to be reinforced in CHP's continuing education are (]) aged people's health, (2)?drinking & smoking, (3)?young people's health(including drug and sexualissues), (4) rehabilitation, (5)?administration and management for community health, (6)?partnership & membership, (7) local residents' participation and community development, (8) collection & treatment of health information and (9) environmental issues for community health. 4. The priority in developing continuing education package should be given to the area, which is encountered often in rural area but important, and has a good opportunity to be resolved. The health management of aged people was selected as a top priority by members of the Community Nursing Academic Society. 5. It is recommended that the instruction materials be accommodated to the small scale workshop or seminar in order that CHPs can participate actively in the continuing education program.

The analysis is based on the process of discovering, vitalization, and self-governing for community buildings, and give some implications for future community buildings in a rural area context as follows. First, the village leader constantly needs to be cultivated. The village leader is not a simple representative of the village. He constantly needs to make efforts to communicate with the villagers. Second, learning through constant self-reflection is necessary for the villagers. It is important to make community programs and residents' small meetings to facilitate reflection. In community buildings, the process of communication and consultation for villagers is more important. The process that creates a new value of the village in the learning process takes place. Third, talented village people who can develop the village should be educated. This is a virtuous circle for Village Development. Aging in rural areas has been deepening, which will affect the future of local communities that can meet in accordance with various crises and responses. In the modern society, phenomena such as a decrease in population and an increase in urban small houses caused by demographic changes, a decrease in midium-large housing constructions, and the concentration of one to two person families in the capital area cultivated ground for the growth of small house market. In response to these trends, interior coordination becomes a critical factor to be applied to the small houses in order to suit the residents' needs in most convenient, efficient and aesthetic ways. Therefore, an evaluation element is in demand to extract, evaluate and constantly improve the interior coordination elements. This study extracts and analyzes the essential elements required for small houses into spatial structure, system coordination and interior coordination. In domestic cases, most of spatial structure was conventional and linear while in foreign countries, various variations were found to reflect the needs from different consumers. For the system coordination, convenience played the most important role to emphasize on the easy use of digital system and built-in appliance system in domestic cases. However, in foreign countries, safety issue and economic aspects were the most considered when it comes to the interior coordination. In regard to interior coordination, installations of the storages for the limited small spaces that also support as extended spaces were rare to find in both cases for domestic and international settings. It is expected that systematic studies focused on more objective standards for interior coordination shall be implemented to provide indicators to measure the interior coordination cases in the near future.
