  • This research is aimed to reconstruct Korean public library as lifelong education organization system. This study investigates systems of lifelong education organizations and situations of their employees, and analyzes some problems suggested by managers of lifelong education organizations. Based on this analysis, this study suggests reforming methods of organization system.

  • Efficient scheduling for software development is a major concern for software engineers. A industry simultaneously performs a variety of projects with the limited resources without overdue. A way to overcome the limitation of resources is sharing of the resources through the projects. This study discusses the matrix organization for software development. A scheduling for matrix organization is a special case of project management problem. The ultimate goal of scheduling problem in this study is to reduce the overall duration of the multiple projects. A genetic algorithm is presented to solve the scheduling problem of the matrix organization and is substantiated with numerical results.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the organization of the standard liberal arts curriculum in accordance with the academic credit bank system (ACBS). With the growth of the system, the standard curriculum of the ACBS turned out to have many problems which have to be solved for securing and maintaining the quality of the system. In an attempt to improve the standard liberal arts curriculum of the ACBS, the study analyzed the problems of standard liberal arts curriculum of the ACBS according to three criteria: the organization of subjects in the six liberal arts curriculum areas, the completion of liberal arts and the exchange subjects between majors and the liberal arts. Based on the results of the analysis, the study suggests ways to improve standard liberal arts curriculum. In the future, research needs to be conducted to explore ways to implement the proposed standard liberal arts curriculum of the ACBS in real contexts.

  • This study has purpose on revealing with corroborative evidence how police manager's leadership type effects on working attitude of policeman. This study is composed of the introduction in the first chapter, theological consideration of leadership and working attitude in the second chapter, research plan and analysis in the third chapter and finally the conclusion in the fourth chapter. For the political suggestion, the program's operated by police organization can be altered its efficiency by organizing groups applying what kind of leadership to how it wed. Considering to its characteristic of police organization, the leadership is not only important factor effecting on outcome of organization but also core activity achieving the goal of organization to police manager.

  • This study is to explore the relationship between trust in local administrative organization and organizational performance. Local administrative organizations provide the citizens with administrative services. Heightening the organizational performance contributes the citizens' happiness and the stream of times through organizations' change. To provide high quality of administrative service to citizens, trust in organizations is more important than any other capital. The improvement of organizational performance needs through this social capital. Factors about trust variables and organizational performance variables are extracted through the theoretical discussions. To do the research, public servants in 7 local administrative organizations of Gangwondo were asked to do the survey about how trust in organizations affects organizationa performances. The results explain that trust variables are related to organizational performance, and the local administrative organization which is high in trust is high in organizational performance. Trust in local administrative organizations improves the organizational performance internally and the organization will obtain trust from the citizens externally.

  • In order to cope with the severe business environment and possess the competitive advantage in the food service industry, the effect of organization culture and leadership on competitive advantage in food service companies was investigated. The friendly culture was regarded as important in relation between corporate culture and leadership. And the tendency to participate was shown to be highly correlated to leadership. Leadership and competitive advantage were influenced by the tendency to participate, differentiation and competence. The corporate culture and competitive advantage were affected by the friendly culture, differentiation and competence. Especially, the organization culture was more important than leadership. Therefore, it is necessary to execute the tendency to participate, differentiate products, service and management, and attract customers. And the maintenance of competitive power is required to develop a new product, evaluate customer satisfaction, and improve decision making, problem solving and crisis management.

  • CMMI(Capability Maturity Model Integration) has been recognized as a critical method to validate the competitiveness of software development organization since its introduction. CMMI imposes additional requirements on the software development organization which has been established and certified to the ISO 9001 quality management system. This paper reviews the similarities and differences between CMMI and ISO 9001. This paper also examines what ate required to deploy the CMMI on the aircraft software development organization which has been certified to ISO 9001. The results of this study will help software development organization to provide the direction for implementing CMMI. Some suggestions are presented to identify and strengthen the weak portion of the software process quality management system.

  • The purpose of the current study is to see what implications Nonaka's hypertext organization concept has to Korean companies. For this, first characteristics and stages of the knowledge evolution in Korean companies were reviewed compared with those in companies in advanced countries. Hyundai Motors was analyzed for an evidence case from which characteristics and stages of knowledge evolution in Korean companies could be figured. From these analyses it was found that the context where Nonaka's hypertext organization cocpet is based on could be different from contexts some Korean companies could experience, suggesting that the applicability of the Nonaka's concept might have some limitation.

  • It is argued that the strategy practice in the 21st digital organization is limited and constrained in that it is being laregy driven by a traditional positivistic strategic management thinking. This article, drawing upon the models and concepts developed in the field of general ecology, proposes a resilient ecological view of strategy, as an alternative strategy frame of reference for overcoming some of the pitfalls and shortcomings of the current digital strategy practice in the organization. The implications of this new ecological perspective on strategy practice are discussed in detail. The article concludes with discussions and directions for implanting the perspective in the organization.

  • Characteristics of the motivation and performance of Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) adoption in university organization are explored through case studies in this study. Generally, the modules for production, sales, and logistics management in a manufacturing company are substituted with new modules for student support, lecture operations, and research management in ERP for university organization. The motivation of ERP adoption is closely related to the purpose of improvement of business process operations and information system control rather than the environmental factors such as inter-organizational competition or increase of market uncertainty, differentially from enterprises cases. In addition, the financial performance such as cost reduction, labor substitution, and increase of productivity is relatively lower evaluated than the performance on organizational aspects or information system control.
