Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate facilitators of evidence-based practice (EBP) in Clinical Nurses. Method: The instruments used in study were the EBP facilitator scale developed by Nagy et al. and a questionnaire on EBP-related characteristics. Data were collected from 230 nurses at a tertiary hospital and analyzed by descriptive statistics. Results: Compared to previous studies, this study showed that nurses had more experience related to research courses and clinical research. However, the proportion of nurses who reviewed relevant articles still remained low. The respondents had positive perceptions of organizational supports for EBP and belief in the value of EBP, whereas they had negative perceptions of skills in locating and evaluating research reports, knowledge of research terms and statistics, and time to devote to EBP. Conclusion: The findings of the study provide important basic data to develop and implement an EBP programs. In future, EBP programs should cover the nurses' skills to search and review research literature as well as their knowledge of research terms and statistics. Furthermore, nurses will require help to ensure that there is adequate time to devote to EBP.

This study aimed at overviewing the situation of information literacy education and research in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region, and developing an ASEAN network model on information literacy. This research used documentary and qualitative research methods. Key resources consisted of twenty bibliometric studies and related documents and two groups of key persons. The first group consisted of twenty-seven purposive key persons from eight countries, and the second group consisted of seven key persons from five countries. The research instruments comprised a data collection form and focus group/ interviewing forms. Data was collected by focus group discussion and online interviews, and qualitative content analysis was used in data analysis and presented descriptively. Research findings showed that: 1) information literacy education and research in the ASEAN region varied across countries and placed importance on the educational context. Singapore was found to be the most leading and productive country in ASEAN in information literacy with the highest number of journal articles on the international scale, and was among the most contributing groups at the regional and global level; 2) the ASEAN Network on Information Literacy (ASEAN-NIL) has been developed as a model with its principles, objectives, management system, activities, and promotion strategies. Its strengths are an integrated scope, multidimensional orientation, and interdisciplinary and collaborative partnerships at the national, regional, and international level, suitable for the ASEAN context, the online environment, and the digital educational ecosystem.

Vacuum pumping remains central to the performance and economy of many manufacturing processes, scientific instruments and scientific research. More vacuum is being used in many of the latest or leading edge manufacturing processes: Current examples include 3D semiconductor devices, EUV lithography, 450 mm silicon wafers, AMOLED displays, LEDs, Lithium-ion batteries and steel degassing. In other applications, vacuum pumping technology developments have led to much lower product costs which for example have enabled mass spectrometers to become a ubiquitous tool is life science research. Vacuum pumps have continuously evolved during the past 100 years of vacuum-based industrial processing but remain a key component which is often on the critical path of process and product improvements. This is especially so in the growing number of applications where the pumps are highly stressed. This presentation outlines significant developments in vacuum that have brought about this progress. The likely course of continued improvements is discussed in terms of increased performance and reliability, robust by-product handling, better cost efficiency and reduced environmental impact especially power consumption.
Price skimming practices, false claim on products, false information/communication, marketing overseas, and deception on products in marketing have received significant attention by the researchers of ethics in marketing studies. This research considers these phenomena as marketing instruments that grossly violate the practice of ethics in this domain. The two most crucial parts in marketing that have received greater attention are product safety and advertising. The paper also examines Ethical Marketing as the ability to make marketing decisions that are morally right and acceptable to all. In order words, ethics in marketing explains how moral standards can be applied in marketing decisions. It seeks to answer the research question by looking at some fundamental business ethics theories, namely, Virtue ethics, Utilitarian, and Deontological approaches to business ethics. Nevertheless, ethics in business is very controversial as many hold different view about what makes up the standard morals that corporations should take and so it is necessary for any organization to formulate its ethical codes to follow.
This study gives opportunity for investigating how student teachers view the teaching profession and how they transfer their pedagogical knowledge into practice. The aim of the study is to investigate the teaching skills student teachers gained in the assessment of micro teaching of their peers. The participants are 30 mathematics student teachers enrolled in the teacher training program in a state university. Document analysis and semi-structured interviews are the research instruments and inferential & descriptive statistics are used for the data analysis. The findings suggest that the qualitative and quantitative peer assessments of student teachers were graded differently which results from the difference of perceptions about teaching and different conceptualizations of the teaching qualifications.

An algorithm for fitting with Least Square is a traditional and an effective method in processing with experimental data. Due to the lack of definite representation, it is difficult to fit measured data with free curves or surfaces. B-Spline is usefully utilized to express free curves and surfaces with a few parameters. This paper presents the combination of these two techniques to process the point data measured from CMM and other similar instruments. This research shows tests and comparison of the simulation results from two techniques.
Microvascular anastomosis is too important to reduce the failure in operating room because of no choice in case of failure and prognosis of the failure would be more worse than any other success ones. Factors for microsurgery trainee influencing patency in microvascular anastomosis at the laboratory are numerous but three basic prerequisites are magnification, instruments and suture material and training. First Author trained microsurgical technique to the second author using femoral artery of the rat and patency of the anastomosis was evaluated by the milking test. Period which microsurgeon successes femoral arterial anastomosis in rat in both of 5 and 30 minutes was 7th week at the laboratory which has done 2 vessels a week under the supervise of the skilled first author.

The transfer of predictive models using various chemometric techniques has been reported for FTNIR and scanning-grating based NIR instruments with respect relatively dry samples (<10% water). Some of the currently used transfer techniques include slope and bias correction (SBC), direct standardization (DS), piecewise direct standardization (PDS), orthogonal signal correction (OSC), finite impulse transform (FIR) and wavelet transform (WT) and application of neural networks. In a previous study (Greensill et at., 2001) on calibration transfer for wet samples (intact melons) across silicon diode array instrumentation, we reported on the performance of various techniques (SBC, DS, PDS, double window PDS (DWPDS), OSC, FIR, WT, a simple photometric response correction and wavelength interpolative method and a model updating method) in terms of RMSEP and Fearns criterion for comparison of RMSEP. In the current study, we compare these melon transfer results to a similar study employing pairs of spectrometers for non-invasive prediction of soluble solid content of peaches.

The calibration methods of satellite visible and infrared sensors for earth observations are ummarized in this paper. Commonly used instruments for the Earth observation and their calibration ethods were briefly introduced. The optical sensors (visible and infrared) and the calibration of these nstruments were focused. With the basic principles of the calibration methods, the instrument-level alibration, which are the essential calibration process for level 1 data generation, were presented.

During the whole product design and development processes, the concurrent engineering relies on strong and permanent interactions between the departmental functions. Concurrent or simultaneous engineering in new product development is a new concept which needs to be redefined. This paper deals with a concurrent engineering model which represents how concurrency, as an organizational process, is related to a interfunctional project team. Four dimensions shaping the sucess of the concurrent engineering are suggested with detailed meausrement instruments. Moreover, an empirical study on the effects of the four dimensions on the efficiency of the product development processes is carried out in the field of electronic industries.
