This paper presents a distance relaying algorithm for a transmission line protection with MAS. First, the voltage and fault current of the opposite side are represented as a function of those of the measuring end using source voltages of both ends. These voltages are assumed to be obtained from the transformers protecting agents, periodically in normal state. Then, the fault location expression, independent of fault resistance, is derived with voltage and current in only one end of faulted line used. The suggested algorithm is applied to a simple system with two power sources to show its effectiveness.

Gouge-free tool-path generation is an important issue in mold & die machining and researches on cutter interference avoidance can be found in many articles. One of the various methods is construction of tool-offset surface of cutter-location (CL) surface on which the cutter-center point (CL-point) locates. Provided that the CL surface is represented in a suitable form, cutter-interference avoidance can be performed without the burden of computing CL data for every cutter-contact (CC) point. In the paper, various methods of constructing a CL surface in the z-map form are presented, where z-map is a special form of discrete nonparametric representation in which the height values at grid points on the xy-plane are stored as a 2D array z[i,j].

In this paper, the stability of a cracked cantilever Timoshenko beam with a tip mass subjected to follower force is investigated. In addition, an analysis of the flutter instability(flutter critical follower force) and a critical natural frequency of a cracked cantilever Euler / Timoshenko beam with a tip mass subjected to a follower force is presented. The vibration analysis on such cracked beam is conducted to identify the critical follower force for flutter instability based on the variation of the first two resonant frequencies of the beam. Therefore, the effect of the crack's intensity, location and a tip mass on the flutter follower force is studied. The crack section is represented by a local flexibility matrix connecting two undamaged beam segments. The crack is assumed to be in the first mode of fracture and to be always opened during the vibrations.

In this paper, we propose a method to generate adversarial examples for toxicity detection neural networks. Our dataset is represented by a one-hot vector and we constrain that only one character is allowed to be modified. The location to be changed is founded by the maximum area of input gradient, which represents the most affecting character the model to make decisions. Despite the fact that we have strong constraint compared to the image-based adversarial attack, we have achieved about 49% successful rate.

Strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa) cultivation methods are rapidly changing from traditional soil cultivation to high bed hydroponics, which are easy to agricultural working. The objective was to evaluate the growth characteristics of three strawberry cultivars cultivated high bed system. The "Seolhyang", "Altaking", and "Keumsil" strawberry plants were transplanted in a glass-type greenhouse at Kyungpook National University Gunwi Agricultural Field. The cultivation period was approximately seven months from September 17, 2021 to April 21, 2022. Growth parameters measured including the number of leaves, plant height, petiole length, leaf length, leaf width, and crown diameter at two-week intervals. The environmental parameters for each location in the greenhouse were collected. Plant height in all cultivars continued to decrease from the early stage to the late stage of growth. The crown diameter was increased by 50 DAT, and then gradually decreased until late growth stage in all cultivars. Results indicated that the growth parameters represented to vary according to the cultivar of strawberry plants.
The achievements of the medieval mappaemundi should be evaluated on their own terms and in the context of their purpose. Medieval mappaemundi expressed christian world view which reflected Augustinian theology. These Christian world view and Greek and Roman classical geography were combined to form the cultural barkground of the medieval mappaemundi. These maps had a function to organize physical space according to religious principles. The Christian concept of the world as a temporal phenomenon, derived from the simultaneous creation of time and space as described in St. Augustin's theology was represented in these maps. The purpose of this paper is to consider geographic characteristics of earthly paradise expressed in medieval mappaemundi and their cartographic characteristics. For this, firstly, we reviewed medieval Christian scholars' opinions on earthly paradise. Secondly, centered on geographic location and representation method, we examined cartographic characteristics of medieval paradise mapping, Thirdly, we considered the shift of paradise according to chronological change. Fourthly, we examined the reason why earthly paradise disappeared from world map after fourteenth century.

Odontomas, hamartomas of odontogenic origin, are composed of all the structures that make up teeth. The WHO distinguishes odontoma into two types. The complex odontoma is defined as "a malformation in which all the dental tissues are represented, individual tissues being mainly well-formed but occurring in a more or less disorderly pattern." The compound odontoma is defined as "a malformation in which all the dental tissues are represented in a more orderly pattern than in the complex odontoma, so that the lesion consists of many toothlike structures. Most of these structures do not resemble morphologically the teeth of normal dentition, but in each one enamel, dentine, cementum, and pulp are arranged as in the normal tooth." Almost all odontomas are located intraosseously, but they have occasionally been reported in extrabony location. Peripheral or soft tissue odontomas, those arising outside of the alveolar bone, are very rare. Peripheral or soft tissue odontoma are defined as tumors that demonstrate the histologic characteristics of their intraosseous counterparts but occur solely in the soft tissue covering the tooth-bearing portion of the mandible and maxilla. When they mature, they appear as a radiopaque mass without the peripheral halo. The final diagnosis should be confirmed by biopsy. The origin of peripheral odontoma is probably related to remnants of the dental lamina in the gingiva. The treatment of choice is complete surgical excision, similarly to intraosseous odontoma and it does not tend to recur. This report presents a case of 5-year-old boy with swelling on labial gingiva of primary central incisor. And it was diagnosed as peripheral odontoma by excisional biopsy.

Recently, application area on the Location Based System(LBS) is increasing because of development of mobile-communication and GPS technique. Previous studies on the index of moving objects are classified as either index for past trajectories or current/future positions. It is necessary to develop a unified index because many applications need to process queries about both past trajectories and current/future positions at the same time. In this paper, the past trajectories of moving objects are represented as line segments and the current and future positions are represented as the function of time. We propose a new index called PCR-tree(Past, Current R-tree) for unification of past, current and future positions. Nodes of the index have bounding boxes that enclose all position data and entries in the nodes are accessed with only one interface. We implement the proposed index and show a feasibility of processing the queries about temporal-spatial domain with the query tool which we develop.
The trajectory of a tag in RFID system is represented as a interval that connects two spatiotemporal locations captured when the tag enters and leaves the vicinity of a reader. Whole trajectories of a tag are represented as a set of unconnected interval because the location of the tag which left the vicinity of a reader is unknown until it enters the vicinity of another reader. The problems are that trajectories of a tag are not connected. It takes a long time to find trajectories of a tag because it leads to searching the whole index. To solve this problem, we propose a technique that links two intervals of the tag and an index scheme called SLR-tree. We also propose a sharing technique of link information between two intervals which enhances space utilization of nodes, and propose a split policy that preserves shared-link information. And finally, we evaluate the performance of the proposed index and prove that the index processes history queries efficiently.
Objective : The aneurysm remnants rate was evaluated via three-dimensional digital subtraction angiography (3D-DSA) in the postoperative evaluation of clipped aneurysms. Methods : Data on surgically clipped aneurysms of anterior circulation obtained via postoperative 3D-DSA from February 2007 to March 2009 were gathered. The results of the postoperative 3D-DSA and of two-dimensional digital subtraction angiography (2D-DSA) for the detection of aneurysm remnants were compared, and an investigation was performed as to why 2D-DSA had missed some aneurysm remnants that were detected in the 3D-DSA. Various surgical factors that revealed aneurysm remnants in the 3D-DSA were also evaluated. Results : A total of 39 neck remnants of 202 clipped aneurysms (19.3%) were confirmed in 3D-DSA, and these were classified according to Sindou's classification of aneurysm remnants. Patients with only a neck remnant found in the 3D-DSA represented 17.3% (35/202 aneurysms) of the whole series, and those with a residuum of neck plus sac found in the 3D-DSA represented 1.9% (4/202 aneurysms). The causes of aneurysm remnants were no full visualization (14/39, 35.9%), parent and perforator artery protection (10/39, 25.6%), clip design problems (8/39, 20.5%), and broadnecked aneurysm (7/39, 17.9%). Conclusion : Patients with ${\leq}2$mm aneurysm remnants showed an increased risk of undetectable aneurysm remnants in the 2D-DSA. The most frequent location of the missed aneurysm in 2D-DSA was the anterior communicating artery. 3D-DSA showed more aneurysm remnants than what is indicated in the existing literature, the 2D-DSA.
