This paper addresses a method for nonlinear controller construction for a general nonlinear system with the separation of controller construction and manipulated values generation. The nonlinear system model is firstly expressed with the coefficients of state-depended representation. The nonlinear control is designed without any approximation based on the model with state-depended representation. At the stage of controller implementation for the nonlinear system, the manipulated values are calculated accurately by use of an algorithm of the numerical analysis. The speech signal processing in the auditory system can be analysized based on two representations : Average discharge rate and Temporal discharge pattern. But the average discharge rate representation is restricted by the narrow dynamic range because of the rate saturation and the two tone suppression phenomena, and the temporal discharge pattern representation needs a sophisticate frequency analysis and synchrony measure. In this paper, a simple representation is proposed : using a model considering the interaction of Cochlear fluid-BM movement and a haircell model, the feature of speech signals (formant frequency and pitch of vowels) is easily estimated in the Average Synchronized Rate.

We show that some class of spacelike maximal surfaces and timelike minimal surfaces match smoothly across the singular curve of the surfaces. Singular Bj$\"{o}$rling representation formulae for generalized spacelike maximal surfaces and for generalized timelike minimal surfaces play important roles in the explanation of this phenomenon.

한국어 대화에서는 상황에 따라 주어나 목적어가 대화 속의 발화문에서 완전히 생략되기도 하고, 존대현상이 일어나기도 하고, 존대대명사가 사용되기도 한다 본 논문은 이러한 특징적인 언어현상이 일어나는 한국어 대화를 처리하고 그것의 표상구조를 만들기 위해서는 대화참석자에 관한 정보, 발화문의 화형에 관한 정보, 대화에 관련된 사람들의 사회적 지위에 있어서의 상대적 순위에 관한 정보, 대화에 나타나는 발화문 사이의 정보흐름에 관한 정보 등을 명시적으로 표시하고 이용하여야 한다고 주장하며, 또한 이러한 상황정보를 한국어대화표상구조에 구현하는 방법을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 한국어대화표상구조의 구축은 담화표상이론(Discourse Representation Theory)과 분할담화표상이론(Segmented Discourse Representation Theory)을 수정, 확대하여 이루어진다.

In this paper we present the linear combination of a fuzzy opening and closing filter with locally adaptive structuring elements that can preserve the geometrical features of an image. Based on the adaptation algorithm of linear combination of the fuzzy opening and closing filter, the optimal structuring element for image representation is obtained. The optimal structuring element is an indicator of the shape and direction of an object's image, which is useful in filtering, multi resolution, segmentation, and recognition of an image.

Throughout this paper, we denote that R is a near-ring and G an R-group. We initiate the study of R-substructures of G, representations of R on G, monogenic R-groups, faithful R-groups and faithful D.G. representations of near-rings. Next, we investigate some properties of monogenic near-ring groups, faithful monogenic near-ring groups, monogenic and faithful D.G. representations in near-rings.

A holistic representation, such as sparse ceding or independent component analysis (ICA), was successfully applied to explain early auditory processing and sound classification. In contrast, Part-based representation is an alternative way of understanding object recognition in brain. In this paper. we employ the non-negative matrix factorization (NMF)［1］which learns parts-based representation for sound classification. Feature extraction methods from spectrogram using NMF are explained. Experimental results show that NMF-based features improve the performance of sound classification over ICA-based features.

A method for extracting the elemental information for an efficient representation of the boundary of industrial parts, from the contours of the mechanical parts, is presented. We have analyzed the performance of the boundary representation using lines and circles. We have also analyzed and compared the performance of the proposed method with that of CW tracking-RL searching method. The result of the analysis has shown that the method suggested in this paper is twice faster than CW tracking-RL searching method. The same result could also be observed in experiments.

This paper is intended to clarify and verify two representation algorithms computing representations of elements of free groups generated by two linear fractional transformations. Moreover in practice some parts of the two algorithms are modified for computational efficiency. In particular the justification of the algorithms has been rigorously done by showing how both algorithms work correctly and efficiently according to inputs with some properties of the two linear fractional transformations.
