  • Recently, contents distribution technologies have been used to cope with the explosive demand for Web services. In this paper, we addressed the issue of the optimal placement of replicas in the environment where Web contents are replicated. We placed replicas so that clients can have access to replicas with the proper delay and bandwidth. We attempted to solve the problem via dynamic programming considering cost of delay and traffic We have come up with time complexity that is less than $O(n^2)$. We defined the threshold and proved that our algorithm guarantees the reliable services.

Fabrication of High Ordered Nano-sphere Array on Curved Substrate by Nanoimprint Lithography (나노임프린트 리소그래피를 이용한 곡면 기판 위에 정렬된 나노 볼 패턴 형성에 관한 연구)

  • The replica of highly ordered nano-sphere array patterns were fabricated using hot embossing method. First, silica nano-sphere array on Si substrate was transferred to PVC film at $130^{\circ}C$ and 7 bar using hot embossing process. Then, silica nano-sphere array on PVC template was removed by soaking the PVC film in buffered oxide etcher. In order to form anti-stiction layer, the PVC template was coated with silicon dioxide layer and self-assembled monolayer. Through UV nanoimprint lithography with the fabricated flexible PVC template, highly ordered nano-sphere array pattern was imprinted on curved substrates with high fidelity.

  • Content Delivery Network (CDN) has evolved to overcome a network bottleneck and improve user perceived Quality of Service (QoS). A CDN replicates contents from the origin server to replica servers to reduce the overload of the origin server. CDN providers would try to achieve an acceptable performance at the least cost including the storage space or processing power. In this paper, we introduce a new optimization model for the CDN design problem considering the user perceived QoS and single path (non-bifurcated) routing constraints and analyze the computational complexity for some special cases.

  • A nanopatterning technique was proposed and demonstrated for low cost and mass productive process using the scanning probe lithography (SPL) and soft lithography. The nanometer scale structure is fabricated by the localized generation of oxide patterning on the H-passivated (100) silicon wafer, and soft lithography was performed to replicate of nanometer scale structures. Both height and width of the silicon oxidation is linear with the applied voltagein SPL, but the growth of width is more sensitive than that of height. The structure below 100 nm was fabricated using HF treatment. To overcome the structure height limitation, aqueous KOH orientation-dependent etching was performed on the H-passivated (100) silicon wafer. Soft lithography is also performed for the master replication process. Elastomeric stamp is fabricated by the replica molding technique with ultrasonic vibration. We showed that the elastomeric stamp with the depth of 60 nm and the width of 428 nm was acquired using the original master by SPL process.

  • We conducted simple experiments to consider the influence of nonlinear groundwater flow on Trichloroethylene (TCE) as Dense Non-Aqueous Phase Liquid (DNAPL) migration in a rough walled single fracture. A glass replica of a granite sample containing a rough single fracture was made and experiments were conducted over a range of Re. Observations are compared to the results of TCE migration tests that were conducted in two parallel glass plates over the same range of Re. Results show nonlinear groundwater flow in a single fracture affect TCE migration path and residual saturation of TCE.

  • In this paper, a tile projector for the active control of low-frequency underwater echoes is studied using finite element method. Compared to the existing underwater actuators used for echo reduction, the tile projector is better suited for covering a wide area such as the hull of a submarine. In order to actively match the acoustic impedance at the water-object interface, the projector is driven to radiate a pressure wave that is the inverted replica of the echo at the interface. Finite element simulations demonstrate significant echo reductions due to the active impedance matching by the tile projector.

  • X-ray diffraction intensity of barium ferrite sintered at $1280^{\circ}C$ as first sintering, varing mole ratio of barium carbonate and iron (III) oxide was checked. The results corresponed to of that magnetic coercivity in previous peport. The microstructure and sintering condition were observed-by means of two step replica method without etching by electron microscope.

  • The structure of anodic aluminium oxide films formed in 2% oxalic asid at constant temperature was studied by the oid of the transmission and replica electron microscopy. Far the initial stage of oxidations, it is observed that pores are initiated from lattice defects as subgrain boundaries, and then spread radially. Some pores merge each other and the others cease to grow until the current density reaches to the steady state. The pore diameter and the cell size are proportional to the anodizing voltages, and it is considered that the pore initiation and growth are largely controlled by the field - assisted oxide dissolution.

  • 최근 펩티드를 포함한 다양한 물질들의 자기조립 (self-assembly) 나노구조체에 대한 연구들이 많이 진행되고 있다. 이는 이러한 분자들로 구성된 구조체들이 환경친화적이며, 생체 나노구조체를 묘사함을 통해 세포소기관의 기능 역시 모방할 수 있다고 기대되기 때문이다. 만약 분자 수준에서 자기조립을 형성하는 단위체를 살펴본다면 자기조립 나노 구조를 개발하는 방법에 대한 통찰을 얻을 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구에서는 최근에 Wen Li 그룹에서 개발한 쉽게 합성할 수 있는 자기조립 펩티드의 적합성을 분자 수준에서 규명하였다. 이를 위해 복제계-맞바꿈 분자 동역학 시뮬레이션 (replica exchange molecular dynamics simulation)을 통해 구조를 샘플링 (sampling)하였고, 얻어진 구조들을 평균 제곱근 편차 (root mean square deviation, RMSD)를 기준으로 클러스터링하였다. 그 결과로 매우 우세한 상대빈도를 보이는 하나의 구조를 얻었으며, 그 구조가 탄소 골격과 잔기의 배열의 측면에서 자기조립 펩티드로 사용되기에 적합함을 규명하였다.

An evaluation of quality of dental prostheses printed by dental 3-dimensional printing system (치과용 3D 프린팅 시스템에 의해 출력된 보철물의 품질 평가)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study were to evaluate the quality of dental prostheses printed by 3-dimensional printing system. Methods: Mater model was prepared and ten study models were fabricated. Ten single crowns were printed by 3D-printing system(Resin group) and another ten single crowns using casting method were manufactured(Metal group). The marginal adaptation of single crowns were measured using by silicone replica technique. Silicone replicas were sectioned four times. The marginal adaptations were evaluated using by digital microscope. Statistical analyses were performed with Mann-Whitney test(${\alpha}=0.05$). Results: $Mean{\pm}standard$ deviations of all marginal adaptations were $92.1(20.0){\mu}m$ for Metal group and $69.7(12.3){\mu}m$ for Resin group. Two groups were no statistically significant differences(p>0.05). Conclusion: Marginal adaptation of single crowns printed by 3D-printing system were ranged within the clinical recommendation.
